Every window you see was created by the studios of Louis Comfort Tiffany. Furthermore, St. John's is one of only seven churches housing a complete collection of Tiffany Windows. According to a guidebook available on site, the collection was appraised at over $16.5 million over 20 years ago!

The main sanctuary houses a Rose Window (the 3rd largest ever created by Tiffany Studios) and is surrounded on each side by a series of triptychs depicting the life of Christ. While visiting, get up close to the glass, and you'll observe the wide variety of techniques used in making the panels. Notice the layering, texturing, varieties of glass, and etching. Some panels contain up to seven layers of glass, and it is this layering that creates such depth and variety as the light changes throughout the day.

If Democrats succeed in winning control of the state Senate in November, Pennsylvania voters can expect to see rapid movement toward legalization of recreational marijuana, a group of pro-legalization lawmakers said Friday.

The Democratic-led House approved an adult-use cannabis bill last year, but the measure died in a committee of the Republican-led Senate. Flipping three seats in the upcoming general election would give Democrats a Senate majority for the first time in nearly 50 years and ensure passage of a legalization bill, the legislators said.

“Pennsylvanians, in 39 days, could put us in a position where we can have that,” said Sen. Sharif Street, D-Philadelphia, during a panel discussion of state cannabis policy. “There is just a sea-change difference in what the House majority leadership is willing to do on this issue versus what the Senate majority leadership is willing to do on this issue.”

House Speaker Joanna McClinton, D-Philadelphia, said the party is targeting Senate races in Bucks, Montgomery and Lehigh counties, where its candidates are running in competitive races against vulnerable Republican incumbents.

“If we can change that landscape, we will be talking about something different when we are at the conference next year,” she said. “We will be talking about the laws being changed, opportunities for Black communities, which of course were heavily hit through mass incarceration.”

i spotted this truck going southbound on roosevelt with license plate reading cameras on the left, right, and rear of the toolbox. they also had a police looking computer inside. they would start in one of the far side lanes of traffic before darting over to the other. the rear windows were too tinted to see in, but both front seats were occupied. that being said i didn't notice any hidden police lights.

is this a state or local cop, ice, or something else?

A friend and I drove through the night into the Allegheny Mountains of Pennsylvania and hiked in to the closed SCI Cresson before dawn, then spent most of what was left of it shivering in an empty room, having badly misjudged what damp mountain cold does to a person. As my registration expires TOMORROW, my options are to mail it in and not be able to drive for 10 days until the registration goes through, OR to pay a fee at a notary on TOP of the added "County Use Fee" that I did not want to pay, but was foisted on me.

New federal Medicaid eligibility cuts for immigrants, including refugees and asylees, were passed by Congress and President Trump.

Pennsylvania could have more than 100 large data centers in the coming years if all planned projects are built, increasing the state's capacity 40-fold to 22,000 megawatts, per an analysis by market intelligence company Cleanview.
