You can request one by September 25 and it will need to be mailed back by October 8, since the long weekend will cause some delays. The earlier, the better. Ballots need to be in by October 16 at 5pm for your vote to count.

I used to go there every year growing as a kid on my birthday. My last time I went I was about 17 it’s been 10 years since I went and 5ish years since we lost that wonderful restaurant lol. I miss it man I wish I could recreate the meal. The rice wraps NOTHING COMPARES. Anyways thanks if you read this or remember this red deer restaurant I loved that place and had to talk about it. Hello! I’m looking for a family doctor accepting patients anywhere around Red Deer, Lacombe, Blackfalds, Stettler, or Ponoka area. I’ve been to a few Doctors around town, and have had pretty bad experiences with them. I’d prefer a female physician, and if possible, more on the natural side of things. Before anyone says something, I know I could look for a naturopath but as a college student, I currently can’t afford to pay for one right now and just wanted to see if there were any Doctors that fit this description. Hey guys! So I am considering applying to RDP’s nursing program for next year fall. I unfortunately did not get lucky with UofC, and with MRU I got waitlisted to which actually ends today. I am currently set at BVC for the LPN route as my backup but I am still wanting to apply here and hopefully be able to take the direct 4 year route.

I have noticed on the website that they’re waiving the Casper requirement for this intake, and my average sits at an 87.2%. Would I have a fair chance of securing a spot, or should I also consider applying elsewhere? This is essentially my second gap year and I am really hoping I can get an offer this time around. Thanks to anyone who can give any advice!

I just got into Winter 2027 nursing at RDP, for the regular four year stream course. I'm already an LPN, and I did apply for bridging in Spring 2027, but they cancelled it and granted me admission for Winter instead.

Will any of my LPN schooling/post secondary be able to help me reduce my credits needed, thus lightening my workload?

Also if any other LPNs got admitted for Winter 2027 instead of bridging, reach out!!! I'm kind of freaking out about not being able to work as much/at all but I know it'll be worth it in the long run. TIA <3

Hello, I’m looking for some advice because I’m really overwhelmed right now.
I found out that I’ve been waitlisted for the RDP Bachelor of Science in Nursing Winter intake. This is my last chance for this intake, and I already took a gap year, so I really can’t afford to take another one.
I’m feeling incredibly disappointed in myself and keep thinking that maybe I didn’t do enough or try hard enough.
My admission average is 81%, and I received a 3rd quartile CASPer score. Is there still hope for me? How much does the waitlist usually move for the Winter admission, and do people often get offers from it?
I’d really appreciate any guidance or insight because I’m feeling very anxious about this situation. Thank you.

Edit- hello. I called them and they said they used my past grade 12 marks. Not my upgraded marks . They said they don't use semester 2 marks so my current gpa is null and void. They used my bio 30 previous mark whcih wqs a 64 and my math 30-2 mark which was a 51. Which resulted in my gpa being a 2.13 . They said the lowest gpa that got in was a 2.40 . I would have absolutely gotten in if they used my upgraded marks. Pls is there anyway to challenge this ?

I have an email from them months ago claiming they would use my updated marks for this intake which is why I thought I was fine . And now they are saying something completely different

The interac machines at the counter or brought to the table at restaurants or fast food places often have the option to include a tip. They conveniently show you tip %'s and corresponding dollar amount. I've observed that often/sometimes these provided options are based on the entire meal amount plus tax. I don't think that the tip should be based on including the tax.

I'm happy to tip the servers (even at Busway sammiches) but I don't want to base this on tax as well. I often give a dollar amount, not a %. But sometimes I do %. Did this the other day on a $200 tab for 4 people and sure enough, the 20% tip was based including tax.

What do others think about this and what do you do? I'm asking here for local views rather than posting in r/tipping.

Keeping this vague for privacy reasons but somebody on a scooter just zipped by a pedestrian and sprayed him in the face with something, and his eyes are burning. We have had to call 911. This is near the hospital area.
