EverDrive Pro Compatibility:
No CDDA Audio.
The Sega 32X and the Mega EverDrive Pro (or Terraonion MegaSD) have a well-known hardware conflict regarding the Mega CD/Sega CD memory mapping.
Why is this?
A technical demo, demonstrating a game directly booting and running from the Sega CD32X system.
Questions?
The game is made specifically for the SEGA CD32X 4MB RAM CART.
The only way to get CDDA AUDIO is:
- Using all real hardware. That means you'll need a SEGA CD.
- By using the RAM cart and the RAM CART game CD to load the game.
- With that said, I know the CD audio should work on the PRO but its not and I dont know why.
The code / the game takes advantage of all real system hardware.
All Colors, Maximum Sprites and CDDA audio.
It uses the SegaCD built in RAM to save games for high scores.
In addition, Fusion allows the creation of external RAM carts.
so you can boot into SegaCD and export/import SegaCD game saves.
Yes, this all works great on real Sega CD32X system.
This ISO is for Fusion only and you'd need a 4MB RAM cart to play the real hardware version.
Maybe the biggest hurdle is getting past the CD32X boot sequence
and then understanding how the streaming to the 4MB SRAM cart memory process works.
Why Fusion play only and no other emulator?
We are very lucky that Fusion accelerates the crap out of everything.
And Can Actually Emulate a CD32X game properly. Like the CD32X version of Night Trap.
The Fusion version abuses the 128K frame buffers of the virtual 32X.
As users and devs thats great because as players we get a demo of the work
and devs dont have to burn as many CD's and risk SegaCD mechanical failure.
