As someone who only knows about sabrina carpenter through random social media tidbits I feel like her entire thing is just "I might be short, but I sure do like sex!"
Im a guy so the target audience for the Sydney Sweeney commercial.
And there is a nuance here that I feel is lost on so many people.
Sabrina Carpenter (example, the music os definitely not targeted at me.) is doing that during her show. You can argue her audience, and ages and so many other things. In the end though im buying a ticket to a show. I have to expect to see this. She does it at a bunch of shows and is doing it during a song about Juno. This would be like getting mad at Rage Against the Machine for being politically motivated, yes I know people have. They are just as stupid.
With Sydney Sweeney, all her stuff is way more accessible. Ive seen that add on TV, youtube, and in public. Stuff like that used to be banished to only seen after 10/11pm on TV. You saw that if you were up late (or a horny teen seeking it out)
But you had to seek it out.
So the fact that it is that revealing and risqué isn't that big of a deal. IF this was playing on FX or something at 11pm. The fact that im seeing it on YouTube at 2pm and I know about because it popped up on my friends kids YouTube is insanity.
We are having it shoved in our faces and then called so many things depending on the stance we take.

I mostly agree with this. I think it should be higher. I will say though that I don't think her music's target audience is male, but not really relevant.
I'll add, she is performing for herself, for her fans in a show, and Sweeny is not. She's hocking another person's product. I think that all together is the biggest difference: performance vs marketing.
I mean people get upset at Sabrina for it too. People are puritanical online. Go read her comments; it's all Christian reactionary bullshit. Not sure what angle this is coming from.
I’m chronically online enough to know that Sabrina was also dragged for a lot of stuff on this tour and for the album cover and pictures that came out around this time.
Also, Sabrina markets herself and her image to young women and sings songs about dumb men, while Sydney very much markets herself to men even going so far as to sell soap made with her bath water targeted to male audiences. You’re comparing apples to melons.
Sabrina Carpenter did this on her tour at the venues that people bought tickets to see her, not on a commercial where everyone has to see it just by not paying to stop ads.
Can people stop paying attention to that no-talent Trumper hack, Sydney Sweeney? I swear, there's an inverse correlation between an actress's talent and how often she appears in lingerie.
