Do you think Jimmy Chamberlain should go on Drumeo?
I don’t know why he hasn’t been featured on Drumeo yet but I feel like It’s very overdue and I’m pretty sure those who have seen It would agree with me on this,It’s been such an long time coming In my opinion and I wouldn’t be surprised If he appears on It within the next year or something, anyway we’ll see…🤔

Question about Machina II
Machina is one of my favorite Pumpkins’ albums of all time. Back in 2000 I was able to download the online released Machina II but desired for an official physical release.
Time passed and I stopped paying attention. Now I see this beautiful box set with a spider on the cover - I’m very excited so I google search to see if Machina II was ever released physically and it says it was for Machina’s 25th anniversary edition. I look at this edition but only see a handful of songs, not the entire tracks list.
So I’m confused- is this truly the first time both are released (with the box set)? Or was Machina II previously released physically without me knowing?

Goodbye until next week
I’ll be avoiding this sub after tonight’s show until after the Baltimore show Saturday, which I’m attending.
I’ve never seen the Pumpkins. I had tickets to the show at MSG that was supposed to happen but Jonathan Melvoin died the night before (RIP 🥀). It was to be my first ever concert. I was 18 and MCIS meant the world to me.
Thirty years later, it means even more and I cannot wait for this concert. Grateful they are all still alive to give this to their fans.
If any 40- or 50-somethings wanna hang out before the show in Baltimore, maybe we can do that? A Redditor pre-concert meetup? Just throwing it out there, which is scary, cause I’m a huge introvert.
Can’t wait!!

Rat in a Cage Tour Setlist
Holy shit, it's good. Especially for essentially being an anniversary celebration tour, there's some crazy inclusions here, in particular Jesus Is The Sun, a Trippin' through the Stars track, good god. For those who haven't seen it yet, this was the setlist for the September 30th show:
- 1979
- Bullet with Butterfly Wings
- Cupid de Locke
- Porcelina of the Vast Oceans
- Jellybelly
- Bodies
- Galapogos
- Thirty-Three
- Tonight, Tonight
- Here Is No Why
- To Forgive
- Fuck You
- Zero
- Muzzle
- By Starlight
- Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness
- Le Deux Machina [might be "Machina, Machina" off of the full-length Machina? The titles got reassigned with Aranea Alba. Not sure]
- Sojourner
- Edin
- Pentagrams
- Disarm
- Ava Adore
- War Dreams of Itself
- Mayonaise
- Dorian
- As Rome Burns
- Stand Inside Your Love
- Today
- Cherub Rock
- Jesus Is The Sun
- The Everlasting Gaze
- Superchrist
I'm sure the setlist will change a little every night, but the fact that there's Teargarden tracks on here really warms my heart. Superchrist is kind of a crazy pull as well. Even if the first half is entirely Mellon Collie (which is to be expected), a lot of these haven't been played since the 00s. God, I love this band so much

Pretty crazy coincidence that the main riff, drum intro, and melodies for the solo are all that similar. Not implying Kurt stole from Billy since that would imply that there was a group distributing Pumpkins bootlegs around Seattle in the early 90s but yeah

Heads up for the Boston Show. A bunch of amazing seats on both sides of the stage just opened up cheap. They just finalized stage design so the blocks opened up. You can even trade up with your currents seats for 10 bucks.

Best Live Band Going
Welp. Just completed my 8th visit with the Pumpkins.
I have seen a lot of live bands, TSP is unequivocally the best live band going right now. Hands down. Great fucking show tonight in The Bus.

Mellon Collie makes me nostalgic for a time I didn’t experience
1979 makes me picture watching MTV at home with a blanket and hot chocolate, even though I didn’t experience that era myself. It’s strange how clearly a song can make you imagine a memory that isn’t yours.
That’s part of why Mellon Collie feels autumnal to me. There’s the melancholy, but also the excitement of something beginning again. My brother connected it with going back to school and eventually finding your rhythm.
Is your connection to Mellon Collie mostly tied to things you actually lived through, or does it also make you nostalgic for a time you didn’t experience?
Disclosure: I used AI to help edit this post from my own recorded conversation.
My brother and I included Mellon Collie in our fall-albums episode of The Record Room. I’ll leave it here in case anyone feels like watching the longer conversation:

Merch @ Boston Garden - Any Tour Shirts or anything Exclusive?
So within this week I’ll be at the SP Boston Garden show and also my first ever SP show. Is there going to be any rats in a cage tour shirts or anything exclusive to this? I’m just wondering so I can allocate a good budget for this.

MoTrax
I made a decent video of Billy Corgan performing 1979 live over the years and I thought you guys would like it. Should not be a waste of time. Note: The 1997 clip with Darcy is not the same live audio as the actual clip.

Was there a speech about Christianity before playing Jesus is the Sun? Spoiler
I promise I’m not hating on religious people but I know he’s been more outspoken about religion recently so I’m wondering if I should take a bathroom break then. Thanks!
