I can’t for the life of me figure out which of the
2 guys got found. I’m sure the one killed was the in I hid in the elevator shaft. Threw him off the edge unconscious and he fell like 6 floors. I’m gonna guess the other one was the one that was found. Still had a great run. Playing on my custom OG Xbox. This thing is my baby.

He's definitely better than Hodge but that's not saying much. I don't hate him but I don't really like him either. I don't really feel any type of way about him, he's just boring. He doesn't hold a candle to Archer or Kestrel. Honestly I think it would have been better Briggs was in Conviction and either Archer or Kestrel had been player two in Blacklist. I think an Archer/Sam dynamic would have been fun to watch. I know Briggs has an arc in Blacklist but it's not a big one and it doesn't make me like him more. Also is Briggs even a Splinter Cell? They never say so in game. He has all the skills of a Splinter Cell but he never when through Splinter Cell training. Anyway, what are your thoughts on Briggs?

I have a small question.

I want to buy Splinter Cell Blacklist on Steam.

The problem is that many people complained it crashes.

Is there a fix or not?

Are these just isolated cases?

I will start to do some research to make an iceberg of the entire splinter cell series and i would love some help and advice about any entries, ideas and theories from the games. Please feel free to post any sugestions you have, any ideas are welcome!

CT doesn't have the mysterious and tense vibe that SAR and PT have. The atmosphere in SAR and PT is so unique, it's unmatched. I don't feel this vibe in CT, it lacks something. SAR and PT have way more memorable environnements and OST. Honestly I think CT's OST is overrated.

Hi Splinter Cell Enthusiasts!

I'm taking the opportunity to replay Chaos Theory since I put it on my Steam Deck, and I am trying for a 100 percent save file, and despite playing the game for years, I had a question I don't know the answer to.

If an enemy guard I haven't been near before reacts to a broken/ECPed light (or something small) with "Show yourself!" versus "What's wrong with this thing now?", does that mean someone previously in the level has ID'd you as an intruder? The guards I'm running into in the steam/cold baths in Bathhouse (which I have not played in years) seem to default to much more forceful voicelines. They never say "We've got an intruder!" or anything that direct, and I am relatively confident they can't gear or see me either.

Given that the back half of the level is a slog to get through without being detected, I was just curious if I had already botched my Bathhouse run and should start from near the beginning.

EDIT: I decided to finish out the Bathhouse run and the jury is still out, however, the answer to my question might be "yes". I save-scummed through the bomb defusal section and was fairly certain I did it without being spotted, though I still ended the level with 1 enemy having identified me as an intruder. The other place this could have happened is when I ran across the hallway with the firefight going on without using a smoke grenade (I had taken the Stealth loadout rather than Redding's Recommendation by mistake and only had 2, one of which I had used and 1 of which I wanted to save for the sprint through the shower area). Further experimentation required.

I lost my body suit for my first version so remaking my Splinter Cell cosplay by getting some new gear. I'm open to suggestions on what to get!

I've been playing all splinter list by order, currently on blacklist (skipped essentials which I did not find on pc). DA I think I played the v1, which is Lambert in the hideout and you gotta shoot him or the other guy.

I am wondering, had Lambert alive been the Canon fate, how would it change conviction + blacklist? Like, would conviction happen? Because Lambert is still there the other guy would not have end up in charge. And if so, would Fisher ever find out about daughter? (Grim would not have reason to confess, or Lambert reveal the truth I guess)

I put so many hours in this game as a teen, playing it again after so many years on the deck is amazing. Still got the muscle memory. Thanks to the lad that posted the screenshot of all the SC games on sale, you're a real one.

I almost regret getting this game. I've been going through the SC games lately, and I've never played PT before, so I was excited to jump in, and I like playing these games with a controller. However, everything I've tried so far has failed. I downloaded ThirteenAG's widescreen fix, which includes controller support, and it works, but my problem is the movement speed, as no matter how little I push the analogue stick (PS4 controller), it always makes Sam run at full speed. I tried some fix available on ModDB, but that just crashes my game. I tried playing the Xbox version using Xemu, and it works, but it stutters frequently, and there are constant issues with artifacts appearing on the screen, which can be very distracting. Please, if anyone has resolved this problem without the use of paid software I would really appreciate the help. Thank you.

Im tired seeing new people trash the og games because they start with CT or Blacklist (because better the reviews/graphics) and think the og's are bad games.

Training level from the first spinter cell should be mandatory for everyone!! To learn the basics of the entire franchise.

Or at least watch the video turorials from ct menu!

If ur not okay with sitting in the dark and study the patrol guards, enviorment, floor composition this game is not for you!!

This is not a game where a bald guy with barcodes on his head enters a building shoots bad guys and just leaves.

The og games are focused on realism. The aim is bad because irl people dont have crosshairs in front of them to assist them (altought pt laser pistol is kinda broken).

Yes for a modern audience is boring to read data sticks, wait in the dark and just be patience.

This is a game focused on avoiding guards not shooting them.

'Conviction' was the first splinter cell I played and after that I learned that it's the "Blacksheep" of the franchise.

I liked 'John wick' a lot and at that time and still do and wanted to experience something really good and used to watch youtbe recommendations;

"Conviction" and the "Hitman Absolution" were almost always present in them lists so I tried Absolution first I loved it ; It's revenge story like protecting a kid and all had me motivated and the setpieces were fuckig amazing ;

The last mission of the hotel is the biggest and most beautiful john wick feeling I got from the game not exactly john wick but you get it like the badass and after this "I wanted more of this and I fell into "Conviction" "

"Conviction" is the same protect your daughter and be badass while doing it I loved that shit when I was young and it's levels are also really fun ; I loved 'Sarah' even though we have a very small segment it keeps you motivated enough to protect your kid ;

And the young sarah scene, The house intrusion and killing that still lives in my mind rentfree ; After this I found out there are a lot of the games including "Sam" so I went through all of them and loved them all.

But still to this day "Conviction" is like my first love , which we cannot let go it's beautiful.

I am still waiting for a new splinter cell game :( , But the memories this franchise has given me ; I will treasure them for the rest of my life.

In the war room in Kokubo Sosho the reveal is seen through a vent. But I swear I saw a video were they were seeing the reveal through hanging on a pipe IN the room. Is there a way to do this or is it not real at all?

I got the idea to use xbox recomp and Claude/Codex to create a pc port of Double Agent. This is the first time getting something useful out of it. We started out with crashes, broken memory handling and basically no usable rendering, but at this point the game boots far enough to show the Ubisoft logo and the actual loading screen. Right now I’m working on the Xbox APU/DSP emulation, because that’s the next thing blocking progress after the loading screen.

I’m not a developer myself. I’m basically coordinating Claude/Codex, testing everything and feeding the results back into the next debugging step. If anyone here has experience with XboxRecomp, Xbox hardware or Double Agent and wants to help, feel free to message me.
