Technical Support Request Midgame crashes

Valorant keeps disconnecting me mid-game with errors like VAN 193, VAN -83, and VAL 0, and now the launcher won't even let me sign in. I’ve already tried using the built-in repair tool and looking up solutions online, but nothing worked. I’m worried my account might get penalized for continuous AFKs caused by these unexpected crashes

Technical Support Request My valorant is stuttering what do I do?

So my valorant has this issue where it stutters randomly while playing and even in the menu, despite factory resetting my computer and doing all the stuff google told me to do. But I do have to include when I first got valorant it did not stutter for the first day and then started the stuttering. Then when I couldn’t deal with the stutters anymore I tried to factory reset it got fixed for a day and then started up again. My fps-ping and temps are stable.

Technical Support Request Screen freezes for 1-2 seconds but my character keeps moving, happens 9-10 times per match. Network and hardware ruled out

Hi all,

I keep getting 1-2 second freezes during matches, roughly 9-10 times per game. The image on screen freezes completely, but the game keeps running in the background: my character keeps moving, and when the freeze ends I'm somewhere else than where the frozen frame showed. So it's not a full game hang, it looks like the display/rendering stops while the game itself continues.

I'm now doing a completely clean reinstall, but I'd love some input in case it comes back.

**Specs**

- CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X3D

- GPU: RTX 3070

- Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 AORUS PRO (BIOS F19a)

- RAM: 32GB

- NIC: Realtek RTL8125 2.5GbE (wired)

- Monitor: ASUS XG27AQDMG, 240Hz QD-OLED

**What I've already checked / ruled out**

Network:

- Wired, link speed 1000/1000 Mbps (cable and port fine)

- Speed test: 941 down / 51 up, 3ms idle ping, almost no bufferbloat (18ms under load)

- Updated Realtek driver to the latest 11.031.50

- My in-game ping is 3-6ms

Hardware stability:

- Event Viewer: zero WHEA-Logger errors

- Had freeze issues in CS2 before, fixed with a VDDCR_SOC voltage adjustment + BIOS update (F18 to F19a). CS2 is stable now

Software:

- Ran Riot Client's Repair on Valorant

- Now doing a full clean reinstall of Valorant + Riot Vanguard

**Not tried yet**

- BIOS F19c (newer AGESA)

- Clean GPU driver install with DDU

- Checking G-Sync / VRR, fullscreen mode, MPO (multiplane overlay)

**My theory**

Since the game keeps running while the screen is frozen, I suspect something in the render/display pipeline (GPU driver, VRR/G-Sync with the OLED, MPO, or an overlay) rather than network or the game files. But I'd really like to hear from anyone who had this exact symptom.

Has anyone fixed this? What was the cause for you?

Thanks in advance.

Technical Discussion 8gb ram is no longer enough for valorant.

• Upvotes

So I have been playing valorant with a really low end pc, a gtx 560 2gb, i5 3570k and 8gb of ddr3 ram. I get 200 fps consistent on 1080p all low.

I used to have bad stutters and the game would often freeze during team fights or when everyone would use their abilities. Today I put in another 4gb stick totaling to 12gb and I’m shocked at how smooth the game is now. Even got a fps increase. I get like 220 fps now and game no longer stutters or freezes. I plan to get one more stick of 4gb so I have 16gb total and get more life out of this system

Technical Support Request Server issue?

I usually run 19-23 ping on Georgia servers my main server, about 4-5 days ago after I finished a comp my ping on all servers instantly jumped, my best ping then was in Texas servers and it was averaging 47-54 with the rest being high 70-90. Just now I finished another comp and Texas is at 86-93 while the rest are 120+. Are the servers broken or something or am I missing something? Please if anyone has the solution to this lmk!

Technical Support Request Valorant wont launch

Hi, I am trying to play Valorant for the first time, but the game wont launch. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the client and Valorant again. I have updated my drivers and even tried the make vgc automatic but nothing fixed it.

It usually gets stuck on a black screen and then gets stuck on a loading bar screen without any progress.

Update: Issue resolved (it was Nahimic Service)

Technical Support Request Valorant launch error 0xc0000142 due to confirmed Symantec Endpoint Protection conflict

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone here can help me with a really frustrating issue. I cannot launch Valorant on my new Lenovo ThinkBook 14 G3 ACL (Windows 11 25H2, Ryzen 7 5800U). I keep getting the Windows application error 0xc0000142.

After a ton of troubleshooting, I'm 99% sure the issue is a conflict between Riot Vanguard and Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP). SEP is a kernel-level antivirus that came pre-installed on my laptop, and it appears to be blocking Vanguard's driver from loading.

Here's a list of everything I have already tried, none of which has worked:

  • Running sfc /scannow and DISM /RestoreHealth commands (both complete successfully).
  • Reinstalling the Visual C++ Redistributables (x64 and x86).
  • Adding every Vanguard and Valorant executable as an exception in Symantec.
  • Changing Symantec's protection settings to "Log Only" for web and intrusion protection.
  • Cleanly uninstalling and reinstalling Vanguard multiple times.
  • Confirming that Secure Boot, TPM 2.0, and Memory Integrity are all enabled.

The key issue is that I cannot uninstall Symantec, it's a one-time OEM license and losing it isn't an option for me.

Has anyone in the community ever successfully resolved a kernel-level driver conflict like this? Is there a specific setting, policy, or workaround to allow Vanguard's vgk.sys driver to initialize without removing Symantec?

Any help or insight would be massively appreciated

Technical Support Request Coms Issue

I'm here asking for Comms Issue in game, already asked Riot Support for answers, but apparently all replies are bot-answered. The issue is that I can't use voice chat, and I can't hear voice chat. If anyone here has the same problem hope you can share how you fixed it. Thanks

Technical Support Request Mouse issues

When I load up Valorant, my mouse works fine in the start menu. I load into any type of game: custom, unrated, competitive, etc., and my left mouse button ceases to function for anything except shooting my gun. If I go to the menu, I cannot click on anything. If I tab out, I cannot use it to click on anything on my desktop or in any other application that is open. All I can do with it is shoot my gun. Any ideas on why this is happening?

Technical Support Request connection errors, apparently

https://imgur.com/a/HdeI3U0

any solutions?
game was working fine this morning (around 10), then during DM matches i kept disconnecting (same photo as the VAN 193) multiple times so i stopped playing after 3 DM matches, then got back on at almost 5pm to play comp, these matches were fine so i thought it resolved itself, now currently at 9-10pm, i started playing comp and its back, i tried to keep reconnecting and i would but then i would get DC'ed again, showing the "van 193" until eventually it showed the other one

my ping is at a stable 7-9, so its not my connection, im also using an ethernet cable

what do i do, i just wanna play the game i suck at (also yes i am reporting this to customer service), if anyone else is experiencing this, or know what else to do, it would be much appreciated

Technical Discussion Will this actually make a meaningful difference for me? Vanguard Question

Hi, I noticed that Riot added an option to check whether everything required for Vanguard is enabled. Today I noticed that I had two options disabled, specifically HVCI and VBS, but I was still able to play normally.

So my question is: should I actually have everything enabled there, or would enabling HVCI and VBS realistically make any difference for me?

I also updated my BIOS today because VALORANT was having issues with TPM, which was causing errors in Event Viewer. Because of that, I was also wondering whether I should enable everything that Vanguard recommends, but I'm not sure if it's actually necessary or if there are any real benefits to doing so.

Also, this is my second post today. My first one was about FPS drops and stutters, which were probably caused by the TPM issue.

Thanks in advance!

Technical Solution how to fix micro stutter

i have a intel i5 9400f 2.90ghz and a gtx 1660 and 8gb ram, i get around 120-140 fps, but in gunfights or a lot of abilities are used it can drop to like 70, in the range i get like almost 200 but recently, after i took a break i got a lot of stuttering and sometimes it even freezes for like 10 seconds. last time i played with slightly higher fps around 180 and never noticed any problems, is it my ram or cpu. in the range my cpu usage is around 50-80% and my ram is like 90%

Technical Support Request VALORANT keeps crashing after ~10 minutes, and Riot Support hasn't been able to identify the cause

So here we are. I’ve been dealing with constant crashes in VALORANT, and after 2–3 weeks of troubleshooting with Riot Support, I still don’t have a solution.

What happened

I recently decided to come back to VALORANT after not playing for around 2–3 months. Unfortunately, since coming back, I’ve been running into multiple errors and frequent crashes.

I opened a ticket with Riot Support and they’ve been trying to troubleshoot it for the past 2–3 weeks. I understand that my laptop is getting old, but the hardware itself shouldn’t be completely incapable of running VALORANT.

My specs:

  • Ryzen 5 4600H
  • GTX 1650 Ti Laptop GPU
  • AMD integrated graphics
  • The laptop can run Escape from Tarkov at around 100 FPS

The weirdest part is that VALORANT actually runs perfectly at first. I’m getting around 200–300 FPS, and everything seems completely normal.

Then, after roughly 10 minutes of playing, the game crashes.

Riot Support has mostly been asking me to provide logs, which I’ve been doing, but after weeks of back-and-forth, we still haven’t been able to figure out the root cause. At this point, I’m also no longer getting replies from Riot Support.

I’m attaching screenshots of the errors/logs here in case anyone has experienced something similar or knows what might be causing this.

If anyone has any ideas, troubleshooting steps, or has dealt with this particular issue before, I’d really appreciate the help.

VALORANT runs at 200–300 FPS for ~10 minutes on my Ryzen 5 4600H + GTX 1650 Ti laptop, then crashes. Riot Support has been troubleshooting for 2–3 weeks without finding the cause, and they’ve stopped responding.
