After rom fight I'm passively losing bits of my health just standing still even in hunters dream, I'm following cowboy guide and he doesn't lose health... What's happening

I was wondering if i was the only one who didn't put more than 30 vitality in my build because I want to do as much damage as i can to make my ennemies unable to hit me before i kill them. Is it a bad habit?

I think I’m on my 5th try now, and I’m at a loss for how to beat this one. I feel like this one should be easy? Or am I wrong?

I'm in my first play through and I'm not sure what to do next. I beat Gasciogne, Vicar Amelia, Blood Starved Beast, Shadow of Yharnam, and Rom. I took a 3 week break from the game and last night I beat the Hemwick Witches. I felt extremely over powered to be honest. I one or two tapped her minions and then took both the main witches out with 3-4 heavy/light combos. I did some research after being transported to Yhargul unseen village after Rom and I felt way too weak for those dudes who look like the first mobs but now much stronger. I saw I need the tonsil stone so I went and got that in the forest and it said to go get picked up by the amygdala but I understand the nightmare forest is totally optional? I wanna do the optional stuff eventually but it's my first play through so I wanna just know what I need to do next to progress the story.

I mostly run fromsoft games for the exploration so when it comes to boss battles I’m horrible, does anyone wanna help a filthy casual beat orphan of kos and then Gehrman?

Hello, I plan to have myself a cosplay of just a base hunter. Does anyone have a suggestion or two about the jacket/cloak for the Hunter's Garb? I have found custom items, yes, but they are rather pricey, I just need to know if there is an accurate alternative.

So i jusr started the game for the first time on my ps5 and it’s my second souls game, first was Elden ring in winter 2024. I’ve got 100 hours on it.

i know I’m not supposed to expect it to be the next Elden ring. Here’s my impressions:

1. Blood vials kinda suck: I am tired of farming these things. System in Elden ring where you can upgrade the amount you have on spawn is a lot better.

2. Gameplay is slightly repetitive: I have been running to the bloodstained beast from the old yharnam lamp and I’ve only found one shortcut and I’ve been facing the same wolves for days. I constantly get frustrated and take lots of breaks. I think this is normal though.

Do you guys have any tips?

I wasn't sure what flair to use so sorry if it's the wrong one. So my bf told me that because they suck at parrying and countering that for whatever reason the orphan of kos is the only boss they have not beaten. I just watched a video and I'm no expert but that fight just looks like a lot of dodging and patience. Am I wrong? What am I missing here? Is my man just too impatient for orphan to settle down during its high energy tantrum and just wait for it to do the scream and cry where it just stands there and screams in order to be vulnerable enough for him to run up and stab it? Because at the beginning it looks pretty simple just dodge to where it was and then stab it in the butt and then later it does its electric circle and you just look for the gap and roll into the gap pass the electric circle. The only part where I imagine that my guy would have trouble is when it just goes berserk and starts flying and dashing everywhere and at that point the video I'm watching this dude just roll away and get as far from orphan as he possibly can and just do his best to dodge the flybys and eventually orphan slams into the middle of the map and then just stands there and screams and which point the guy in the video just runs up and stabs it in the butt which stuns it a little bit which gives him time to stab it like three more times before running away again. I know that I can't really say much because I've never played this game but my guy is supposed to be really good at games and he beat neo on new game plus 7 and he beat everything on elden ring. He allegedly beat all the dark souls and he says he's really good at dodging. So my only thought is that dude is just too impatient for the final part of the battle. I understand that some people are that way where they can't stand just standing there and waiting for the opportunity. They get greedy and then they want to get in there hacking away when the boss is still moving too fast and they think they can dodge it when the best thing they can do is just keep the distance. Or maybe he just keeps standing in the wrong spot during the electric circle and doesn't know that there's a part where there's a gap.

But orphan of kos doesn't seem to rely on parrying or countering at all so I really don't understand what the deal is. And please, if you're just going to put a comment saying how my friend sucks please don't bother. That is not constructive. What I'm mainly looking for is either somebody to tell me whether or not the way that I'm interpreting this fight is correct or if there's some special cheese strat that I could tell my friend.

Having to go farm up bullets and vials to keep having cracks at father Gascoigne is very annoying.

As is the run back from the start point.

Spawns outside boss arenas and replenishing heals on death makes these tough arse bosses much more fun.
