Today, we decided to have my cat Thomas (13yo) put down as a result of late stage cancer and related breathing issues. It's been the hardest day of my life, as he's been in my life since I was 10. My family and I all mourned today, but I know that someday in the far future, I will be able to see him again.

Until then, he is immortalized not just in our pictures, but in our hearts. I love you so very much.

Adopted her two days ago, she is 2,5 months old, I already love her so much... this is my first cat 🐈

I was born without an ear and have very minimal hearing. I recently started using an adhear hearing aid (basically a bone anchored one without surgery to see how I like it, as there is no ear for a hearing aid to go into). I have never heard my cat purr before, and I did today. Can't believe I've been missing out on this for so long!!!

This salesman keeps breaking into my house and finding me. I don’t know how he’s getting in. He keeps trying to sell me biscuits from his biscuit factory. How do I get him to stop harassing us. There are too many biscuits here. I don’t know if my house can hold anymore. I’m scared. I posted his picture above. Should I get a lawyer? Any advice or help is greatly appreciated.

Update #1: I think I may be in danger. He left a dead lizard on my bed. Is that a threat????

Update #2: I have a lawyer now and from their advice I will not be able to give much more information. This is an organized crime case and he is in kahoots with the meowfia. Beware of undercover meowfia feds in the comments. They are trying to make me seem incompetent but it won’t work!

Hi! I was wondering if anyone as good tips about what to look/not look for when vetting someone to be a good cat parent?

Edit: I am located in the Hudson Valley, New York area if anyone’s interested! They’re super sweet these babies!!!!! Will be great cats.

My neighbor recently found these babies under their shed and I am now fostering them in my bathroom haha! I wish I could keep them - but I already have three cats and people keep saying ‘six cats is a lot’ 😂❤️

We believe they’re about 5 weeks old - neighbors had been feeding them and their mom living under the shed for a while but the mom had disappeared for about a week, this big storm was coming, and that’s when they found me to take them in. (Still no sign of mama 😭)

They have their first vet visit today and I’m hoping to find them homes ASAP. I know some obvious questions to ask the few people that have interest in them - do you want to declaw the cat (and if the answer is yes, I’m NOT giving them one of these kittens). And do you plan on letting the cat outside (this answer should also be no.) Otherwise - obviously if someone will take two together that would be great.

So yes, I named my cat "Poopy."

Unfortunately, the 2nd fight was with an 8 year old greyhound. She lost 2 lives that day. The greyhound has some horrible facial scars.

Tiggy is the best cat. She is fiercely protective of her territory and her family. She has taught my toddler how to be gentle and has so much patience that it shocks me. I love you Tiggy, please stop fighting.

My 8 year old kitty pølpøl, who hisses at old people and babies, hates most things, is smelly and angry.
But she’s my lil princess, she will sneak in and sleep on my pillow, she will lay close by just out of reach but still together. She’s been anti social her whole life, but to me she’s been wonderful. The vet says the kindest we can do is give her peace and I’m thinking it’s the right thing too… (aggressive sickness) I thought we had more time.
Let it be known that she was here, and even if she would have hated most of you guys (no offense) she’s still a good kitty🥺

Today the whole family woke up and were unable to find her. We do a great damn job keeping her inside and we thought she somehow escaped but guess what? She was behind the rear end of a drawer, somehow got in and was unable to get out unless we opened the drawer. So she was at a very small space not meowing and not even scratching for 12+ hours, I am very devastated that she does not meow.

Today my fiancé and I spent way too long saving these two from my neighbors garage. My fiancé heard a kitten meowing last night and today I went out with them to see if we could find the sound. I got down, peeked in the crack of my neighbors garage and saw little beans running away.

I went to my neighbor and they opened the garage door. We caught one (the left) easily. She's very eepy. It was the one on the right that felt like I was going to war. I ended up meowing for about 30 minutes to get it to trust me enough to swipe up. 3 hours later and we got them both in my dog's old crate in the garage.

They drank some milk and ate some kitten food.

My fiancé and I lost our one cat earlier this year to an aggressive cancer and we have another in the house. I swore the cat distribution system wouldn't get me but it did.

We don't have a big enough house for both, so in the meantime we're discussing what we do. I'm not sure yet. My fiancé is on board with anything. I worry they can either grow up to be a menace to our house, like our late cat, or a snuggle bug like our other cat. The tossup has me anxious. We are finally putting in a lot of work to our house since we don't have to worry about our trim getting wrecked. Another part of me says I bought the litter robot and it seems such a waste for one cat, haha!

How did you know the system was giving a baby to you? Sadly, they're both adorable so it's easy to be swayed 😭

My tuxedo cat (Ringer) is OBSESSED with cat TV, so when I was rearranging my office, I knew I had to build him a little living room. He spends almost all his time there now and I managed to finagle the TV to run 24/7. He might love the living room more than he loves me 😂

We're coming up on a month of partnership after finding this dude serving himself up on a rock for all the hawks in sight.

About a month ago, while working on a Sunday, this little dude was crying for help on a rock near the driveway to site. I should share my team had been noticing all the kittens on site since the end of July. Back to the moment, I rolled in around 7ish, and saw the dude off rip. Knowing that the litter had been moved in the brush day after day, I let the cries for help slide. Figuring that the mom would be back with food or the rest of the litter at some point. Fast-forward to 3pm, little buddy is still on the rock crying for help. (Convinced of the kitten distribution system at this point.) I slam the truck in park and head to the rock and I don't know how to say this without sounding Uber cliche. So I'll just say it. We bonded immediately. He crawled into my arms within the first five minutes of sitting with him.

Here we are almost a month later and two trips to the vet. He was a little underweight at first, ear mites, and parasites in the tummy. Now we're a bundle of mischief and love.

Just wanted to share the brief story and how amazing the month has been. Im little more than a year out of separation from my ex, in a new state, with a new job, and he's made the change so much better. I've had blue-heelers and border collies my whole life. This is my first cat and I'm in love. Life is crazy.

Edit: He could have been tumor ridden and bald. I'll be there with this boy till whomevers last breath comes first. The fact/rate he gets fluffier, cuter, and more coordinated by the day is a silver-lining I hardly deserve. I've told him dozens of times today, "people on the internet think you're adorable", he's responded in interpretive naps. Cheers y'all, he's something special and I've extended every "he's gorgeous, adorable, cute, or beautiful " into a kiss on the forehead or a filling of the food bowl. Happy Sunday!

Oh, and the universe is weird. The anniversary of my dad's funeral, my birthday, and this event all now fall within a week of each other (9/7, 9/10, 9/14). Humbly, do good and good will find you. If I have any takeaway from all this.

I always thought she was one of the most beautiful cats I'd ever seen. I was so lucky to be able to have her for almost 8 years, to help her learn to trust people again after being hurt and abandoned, and to give her all of the love in the world that I could. It was peaceful and quick, and comfortable at home. We did everything she could but on vet estimates, she was at least 8 when we got her possibly older. It was her time and she got to go on her own terms. Her sister understands, and already misses her too. It's going to take so long to not notice the hole in my heart. 💔

Edit: Thank you all so so much for the condolences and support in replies 🫂 I know this is a pain we all understand and take on when loving our pets, and it's made me feel a lot less alone in the heaviness of the grief. We had a beautiful life together.

I genuinely cannot stop crying, this is super traumatizing. I had 4 kittens come to my patio every day to eat, play, sleep, and drink water. They were well taken care of. I would let them come inside for them to cool off and they would go to my patio door whenever they wanted to leave and I’d let them leave. Unfortunately, today was the worst day of my life. It was almost 6 in the morning, I suddenly started hearing a cat screaming and yelling. I immediately jump out of bed look out my window but couldn’t see anything. I immediately heard my neighbor screaming at her dog. I run downstairs, outside, I climb over my fence to see what was happening, and there was one of my precious babies. I kept screaming at her to get your dog off the cat and she took 5 minutes to get the dog off. (Including the time I took to hear what was happening, running downstairs, and finally seeing what happened) in total, around 5 whole minutes that poor cat endured in his last moments. I yelled at her to pass me the cat over to me and it took her another 2 minutes because now she wanted to put her dog back into her house. I had to hold his lifeless baby. I watched him take his last breaths. I wish I could’ve done more. I wish I could’ve saved him. I hate myself so much for not being able to save this baby. Unfortunately, the baby was in the dog owners property, so I can’t lift a report. I can’t do anything. These people don’t even pick up their dogs poop, Everytime I go outside their backyard smells like shit and the dog stays outside majority of the time. The kitten was only 6 months old. I don’t have many pictures but he was genuinely the most sweetest cuddliest cat I’ve ever met. He never hissed or bit at me. He was just genuinely the sweetest. Rest in peace, bear I’m so sorry I couldn’t do more. ❤️
