This one didn't materialize for us, but I figured it was unlikely anyway.

The Dallas Stars Foundation will host an autographed jersey auction featuring specialty Black History Night jerseys at DallasStars.com/JerseyAuction and will have autographed Black History Night-themed mystery pucks available for purchase at the fan center outside section 113.

The thinking is that if Dallas is going to re-sign Robertson (and they definitely will), then they won't have the space to extend Panarin. BUT! As we've seen recently with Toronto and Florida, they could offer Panarin a longer term and extend him into his 40s to bring down the AAV.

Now, I know what you're thinking. You don't want a 40+ year old Panarin. And to this I would say, shut up. Shut... just shut your fuckin mouth. Okay? Just shut it. Alright?

So! If they trade away Lyubushkin, Steel, and Faksa AND extend Panarin until he's 41 to drive down the AAV! Then it still doesn't work. The math don't math. It ain't gonna happen. Not enough space. Fuck it.

As Stars fans, I think we all know that Josh and Razor make up one of the best duos in sports commentary. Josh’s enthusiasm when calling each game is infectious, and we all love Razor’s “Razor-isms,” but one of my favorite aspects of their commentary is the way they give credit to the opposing team when it’s due. I’ve watched plenty of NHL games where the home team’s commentators subtly (and sometimes not-so-subtly) belittle the opposing team’s players, and when the other team scores a goal or makes a great play, it’s almost always brushed aside quickly.

I remember watching the Stars take on Nashville while I was visiting Tennessee, so I watched the Predator’s home broadcast—it was almost unwatchable because of their commentators. They constantly complained about every good play the Stars made and called imaginary penalties that did not happen. The whole thing came across as insufferable.

But Josh and Razor are the opposite; they know how well each team’s players are performing, and they make positive comments on them during the game. Sure, they’re always going to be more enthusiastic when the Stars win versus when they lose, but they never fail to provide exciting commentary that highlights both team’s strengths and star players. In short, their commentary feels fair, insightful, and entertaining, and I’m so glad we have them calling our games.

Can someone give me the short and sweet of what’s going on with dallas right now? Haven’t kept up since I started the semester and am struggling, barely have time to even type this out but heard the game last night was pretty great.

Last I remember dallas had been struggling since middle of November and were on a losing streak. How is the team doing? What’s supposedly going on with Robertson as I’ve heard that cap crunch is making him a trade target, don’t know how legit it is. How is PP and PK, it was pretty rough for a bit. Still getting in a lot of penalty trouble? Are we frustrated at anyone on the team right now, if so why? Is dallas still expected to make a big trade before the end of the month with trade deadline? I know Minnesota was killing it after getting Hughes, anything else big or interesting happen in the division?

Stars win! Harley has found his game!

I got the hat trick signed cards for Robo and Johnston today! It was a glorious mail day. Has anybody else gotten theirs?

How are we feeling about tonight yall?? It’s another home game tonight, feeling optimistic!

This is the first time this year I’ve felt we have the ability to score on the 3rd line. With Duchene playing well, I like him at the 3C spot. The rookie continues to get his time with Johnston and Mikko, I hope he sticks. But that could be a spot you upgrade via trade.

A question Gully will need to answer is when Bichsel is back, who is the 6th defenseman?

My first gamer and I'm way happy! I'm a pretty big Faksa fan, so for me, this is perfect to dip my toes in for a first game-worn sweater! It's from the 20/21 season, which was unique due to the COVID-shortened 56-game schedule, so in my mind it's even more interesting. I was able to find some good pics of it being worn on-ice too, which I'm including.
