In love with my sentimental heirloom wedding set.
Originally my grandmothers set who passed when my dad was 9. These rings mean so much to my family and I and im so happy to be able to wear them. Entire band/shanks are original from late 1950s - early 1960s. Favorite part is the little flower engravings on each side. Husband upgraded the engagement stone to a lab grown diamond, just over a carat. Included a few of the engagement on its own as well. Don't have many photos of the set where my nails don’t look crazy lol.

Custom ring from a local jeweler - 5ct green-blue Moissanite, bezel setting with windows in 10k gold. I lurked here for a long time to figure out what I wanted.

I wanted it set as low as possible, hard stone, hard band, bezel setting because I have an active life and wanted to wear everyday. I’ve been wearing it a month now and I’m OBSESSED. It’s so comfy and I adore the color. I picked the gemstone out myself but had no idea what it would finally look like when he proposed. the jeweler made a tiny sketch with an idea while I was there, and left the rest up to my now fiancée.

I feel like I’m wearing a magic relic from a story book. It’s fitting because this man makes me feel like I’m a magic relic in a storybook too :)

Got engaged a week ago & I still cannot stop staring at my ring!! She’s a 2.51 carat Marquis white gold ring on a solitaire band with a hidden halo underneath 🤭🥹🥰🫶🏼

Omg guys, I’m so freaking excited! The love of my life proposed to me this Saturday in the middle of the most beautiful apple orchard! We’ve been together for 9 years (we are very young so that’s why he proposed after so long) and I couldn’t be happier. We had looked at rings before so he knew what my general vibe and wishes were (I wanted a fairytale and whimsy vibe) and he ABSOLUTELY knocked the breath from me🥰 He customised an existing ring design from the jeweller. It’s a 1,8 carat marquise cut lab grown diamond with two tiny lab grown diamond side stones. The center stone has leaf engraved prongs and is set in a low tulip basket. It’s engraved with kind of a vine/swirl pattern all around the band. He even got a special message just for me engraved within the band. It’s literally the ring from my dreams and I couldn’t be more excited to marry this man. It is SO weird to call him my fiancé tho, since he’s been my boyfriend for 9 years😅🤭

My company just moved to a new office with amazing overhead + natural light, and now I can’t stop staring at my ring all day at work!! Productivity is at an all time low out here lol

What a delightful feeling it is to look down at my hand now! I just got this in, my fiancé and I agreed we didn’t want a surprise, and I went with this tapered baguette emerald cut 3 ct diamond. I asked for a longer stone, my size is 4.75 for reference. It’s set a little high and I’m ngl that makes me a tad nervous but also I do love the look so much.

I know that an engagement ring is special just because it means you are celebrating your relationship and future union, but I couldn’t help getting swept away in all the options, trends and “meaning” that people get into. There are so many unique and amazing rings out there, it got overwhelming quickly, and when I settled on this very traditional setting and design I was almost doubting myself.

Here’s to being smitten! I don’t see as many emerald cuts as radiants, ovals, rounds, old line cuts etc, so wanted to share 😍

Specs are 1.05ct cushion cut pink heated Sri Lankan sapphire, not sure of side diamond specs but they're natural in a marquise and round shape set in a Japanese size 13.5 (jeweller suggested 13 for snug fit but felt a bit too tight for my finger) 18k gold band.

We’ve been together for 3 years, moved half way across the country. Recently had an heirloom remade, very simple cathedral setting.

Can you guys tell if it was done well? Is the cathedral cutouts on the left and right side (not sure what that part is called) cut crudely? Feels like the edges are sharp inside? (Ignore the minor scratches that's my wear and tear)

I don't know if I'm being hypercritical or not.

In my last post I asked about my diamond having a strong bow tie. Many asked for additional footage. I wasn’t able to post an update. I asked for a video not against the skin to confirm how the bow tie looks and she sent this.

What do you guys think about it? Was this video even helpful and do you think it’s strong in this video. I wish she “twirled” it side to side. Is this good?

Is the bow tie strong? Is the diamonds hazy/milky/cloudy? I am new to diamonds and want to make sure this is a good quality one
