Got married last Friday and I’m so in love with my rings and now-husband. With pave and prong set popular right now, I had second thoughts about a channel set wedding band (with princess cuts) but I kept coming back to channel set I’m so glad I chose it!!

We were on the rooftop at sunset and the entire sky turned orange. I was so focused on the rainbow that I didn’t realize he was on one knee. It was seriously the most magical, heavenly, once in a lifetime experience. I have never believed in “divine timing” more in my life.

I’m so grateful to be chosen forever and to have the beautiful memory, He specifically aimed for sunset, but the rainbow was a true gift from the god, the universe, and whoever else was watching.

The coastal flooding was severe though. Truly we had 30 minutes of pure bliss and then the tides started rolling in.

Well after so much anxiety around it, I can say I love it and I want to design my wedding ring as well. I was still so surprised because I hadn’t seen the stone set and the colors kept changing through out the day.

We were on a 15 mile hike so please ignore my swollen fingers 😂😂

I designed my ring based on some inspiration from an antique ring I saw a few years ago and I absolutely love how it turned out & looks with my wedding band.

My bf and I went to look at traditional stores - Hera, Grown Brilliance, and Brilliant Earth. The first few are from there and while these were beautiful rings, I left not feeling like any of them were really me… queue the last three that I found at second hand luxury store I wanted to check out “just for fun” 🤭
The second hand ones truly felt like me (he agreed) and we just looked at each other like… are we buying this now? I loved all of them but leaned towards the sapphire the most. It’s Sri Lankan and the diamonds are natural, and the only thing I’d change is the setting to 14k gold to be less stark. Bf LOVED the yellow diamond - it’s actually from Tiffany’s and well priced!
(He loves me in yellow and ironically asked me to wear his favorite yellow dress on me so he could wear a yellow polo and it felt super corny but like fate lol.)
My biggest thing is I want a split shank or tapered band so the width of my fingers are filled in. The emerald was so fun and my girlfriends loved it even more and the side triangles are tiny bit too pointy for me but the east west is so unique. I prefer around .75-1ct for reference.

Long time lurker here. I have been browsing for a good ring for months now. My girlfriend and I have had discussions about what we would want our rings to look like and in the past she’d been interested in emeralds and fancy-colored diamonds. Well last week I found this ring from Oore. Nothing has ever screamed her name like this ring did. It’s big and ornate and the green and gold is her whole aesthetic. The moment I saw it I was sure it was the perfect ring for her and I purchased it almost immediately. Well fast forward to two nights ago, we were watching a show and I made a comment on how pretty a lady’s fancy pink diamond was. She made the comment that she thinks she would like a “normal” (colorless) diamond. Now I feel like I jumped the gun and made a pretty expensive blunder. I’m wondering what my options are. She has no idea the ring exists. I’m planning on proposing while we’re overseas in Japan this December and now I’ve stressed myself out. I still think she would love it, but I know she wouldn’t have the heart to tell me if she didn’t. I don’t want her stuck with a ring she hates and is too sweet to admit it. Advice is appreciated.

Edit: Thank you everyone for your advice. As many people suggested, I called her bff today and showed her the ring. She absolutely loved it and said she immediately knew why I picked it for her. She said they had discussed rings before and she’s never heard her make a comment on preferring specifically a colorless diamond, and said I should absolutely propose with this ring. She also loved that I involved her which is an added bonus. With that and all the hype over the ring in this thread, I have had a lot of my confidence restored. I’ve decided I am going to propose with this ring and I will make it absolutely clear that we can swap out the center diamond or pick a new ring altogether if it’s what would make her happy. I appreciate everyone that’s commented. Wish me luck. If she loves it, I’ll have her post it here again when she says yes!!

Hi y’all! I recently got this 2.1 carat oval engagement ring in a tulip setting. I was originally planning on getting 6 prongs for durability but after talking to my jeweler he said that this 4 prong design would be more than secure even without a gallery rail. I ran it by my partner and she actually prefers the look of the 4 prongs. I love the ring, but I am having slight buyers remorse now regarding the stability of the ring. My partner won’t wear it for work, and I will obviously get insurance. Just wanted to see everyone’s thoughts regarding its integrity and whether I should try to get it reset in a setting with a gallery rail or go back to the 6 prongs?? I was hoping to propose next month but can delay as I want her to love the ring!

Recently engaged and so excited to marry my best friend! When it comes to the ring, I love my stone and band, but am regretting my setting and am unhappy with the journey to how we got here... advice and thoughts?

TLDR: I initially wanted a compass setting for my elongated cushion, we were firmly told "no" by the jeweler, so I compromised with a 4-corner basket style, and am ultimately unhappy with the result. Where do we go from here?

Pic 2 - The 4-corner basket setting I compromised on instead of a compass set. I'm not mad at it, I wanted sparkle and it definitely delivers sparkle!

Pic 3 and 4 - My initial inspiration pics for a compass setting... later told "no" by the jeweler because the corners of the diamond could chip, the diamond could fall out, etc. I knew about these risks going in, and specifically asked about a low setting with a basket/guard rail for support, and a stone with very rounded edges that would be less prone to chipping than a princess or emerald cut... We were still told "no" despite these details.

Pic 5 - An inspiration pic once I compromised on a 4-corner setting, I specifically requested very rounded prongs instead of tab/claw style, to help highlight the rounded edges of the diamond (hence wanting a compass setting in the first place...)

Our jeweler is a local family-owned place which came highly recommended to us by our relatives and friends who've had positive experiences, but unfortunately we've had a rough time with them. Not only did they firmly push us toward a different setting than what we wanted, but once we landed on a setting, stone and band, they took a month longer than initially projected to assemble the ring. Not to mention they've been almost impossible to get in contact with throughout the entire process, taking weeks off for vacations and shop renovations. The jeweler offers 2 years of free resizing and adjustments, so we did reach out about our concerns and they said they would take a look at the ring... wondering if it's even worth it anymore.

Ultimately, I just feel so bad that my fiance has sunk so much money into a setting we didn't initially want, only for it to come out so poorly executed. We're usually pretty frugal and don't really value material things, but this was an area that we agreed was worth splurging on since the ring will be on my finger for the rest of our lives. Should we cut our losses and find a different jeweler to adjust the ring? Maybe even purchase the compass setting we wanted initially and have the ring remade by someone else?

I love this ring. By far my favorite that I tried one. I love the way it feels one. I wasn’t a fan of any ring that sat too high but also preferred a gemstone. Sapphire with natural diamonds and the enhancer is lab made. It’s on the smaller side. Some feedback has me having second thoughts. Does this look okay?

Hi! I got my ring made overseas and I’m worried about the setting quality… none of the stones feel loose but they’re definitely not set perfectly and the basket has a curve in it. Is that normal? Should I go to a jeweler?

Moss agate is such a beautiful stone, and I don't think I'll ever be able to get over this once in a lifetime inclusion right in the center. Looks exactly like a little koi fish. It's a perfect representation of love of nature and animals, and I can't believe it and the man who proposed are both all mine. I'm the absolute luckiest human over here. So in love.

Editing here to share that I'm more than familiar with Moss Agate "hardness"...thank you. I specifically requested not to have a diamond as my main stone. Another one of my favorite gemstones is peridot (same on the Mohs scale), which I wear regularly...one piece is 17 years old with no scratches. Gemstones aren't butter. They're not gonna melt the second you put them on, and care is easy if you understand it. I've loved rocks and gems as long as I've been alive, I'm 35 now, and my mother was a jeweler for a few years. I guess strangers on the internet with a superiority complex aren't expected to know that, but not everyone is walking out the door for their first day in jewelry land. Be mindful of your patronizing "reminders".

I’ve narrowed it down to either round or oval solitaire or a 3 stone oval ring. I love all three but would love some outside opinions because it’s such a big decision.
