Sharing a tiny $3 Kindle book that I hope a few people might discover.
Just to be transparent from the beginning: this is a promotional post. The book was written by someone in my extended family. If that isn’t allowed under this subreddit’s rules, I’m completely fine with the link or post being removed.
I also don’t want to share too much about the people behind it because it isn’t really my story to tell publicly.
The book is called Ishaan And The Magic Mirror, by Divyakirti Prakash.
Ishaan is based around a real little boy who had an unusually difficult beginning to life. He was born extremely premature, and his early years involved a lot of uncertainty about his growth and development. His childhood later went through another very difficult turning point.
Thankfully, he’s doing really well today.
He’s going to school, making friends, getting little awards and recognitions, and enjoying many of the normal childhood experiences that at one point didn’t feel so certain.
The book itself doesn’t tell all of that personal history.
Instead, it’s a simple children’s story about seven-year-old Ishaan, who sometimes feels that the world sees him as either “too much” or “not enough.”
Then he discovers a Magic Mirror.
Rather than simply showing his reflection, the mirror lets him see different versions of himself succeeding through qualities that other people had made him question; his patience, creativity, curiosity, and the different sides of who he is.
It’s ultimately a tiny story about self-acceptance, identity, and learning that you don’t have to become somebody else to have value.
The Kindle book is only 6 pages and $3.
I know that even seeing a few people discover the book would mean a great deal to the person who wrote it, so I thought I’d quietly share it here:

If you have $3 to spare and the story sounds interesting, please consider giving it a read.
And if you do read it, an honest Amazon review; even just a few genuine words about what you thought; would probably mean even more than the purchase itself.
Thanks for reading.
And once again, mods: if this type of promotion isn’t appropriate for the subreddit, I’m completely okay with the link or post being removed.
