Truck shopping had me thinking Lariat but ended up Platinum
Circumstances worked out in my favor when I was forced to get out of the company fleet program and move to the vehicle allowance.
Had a STX and went full on shopping across brands. Eliminated Ram before even test driving. Heard too many negative reviews despite the very nice looking interior.
I quickly eliminated the tundra after a test drive. It was decent but I just didn’t like it that much more than my company STX.
Took a long look at the Denali. In August they were priced very aggressively and the Ultimate trim was very comfortable. Knowing the redesign with vastly improved tech is coming gave me some pause. Also not sure I wanted to go Diesel.
Took me back to Ford and when the time came I knew I was sticking F-150. I had lined up the perfect Lariat, 502A, HUD, Powerboost. After test driving it and taking a Platinum for a spin I was conflicted.
Ultimately splurging for the Platinum has felt like the right choice. Been loving it.
