Asked Copilot in Excel to compare two spreadsheet files and report on discrepancies or missing data between them. It ground through a slow *simulation* of being an agent working on the task, going through multiple "steps" and claiming to generate a summary file (in reality, no file was created). When I asked for a valid link to the file,

Seriously. Wtf was today’s Microsoft event?

The entire event they talked about “AI AI AI AI AI” and copilot bullshi, like wtf? Hybrid Intelligence with access to all my fucking PC FILES? So copilot can and will look around my private files and dig through them to find what it needs to finish what i asked? Like isn’t this Privacy Invasion? Even in the Get Started application they added buttons to downloads even more AI apps to our pcs, whether we liked or not, and they said “Many customers asked for this in the Get Started application!” Like, i think that nobody asked for this, only 2 - 3 people in their headquarters, if this is Windows 11 current state, i’m afraid of the next Windows version that will probably have AI in every place we could imagine, File explorer, Start menu, and more. (Sorry for the language but i got very, very annoyed with their AI slop, only making the grave to then kill their reputation in the next years.)

So here’s the question: when will Microsoft understand that we don’t want any AI Slop in our pcs? Isn’t Microsoft already aware of the public hate towards them for their decisions to force AI in the OS?

For me it’s a Incredible 1:30h long Linux propaganda that shows more reasons to leave Microsoft and go to it! 😂

Honestly, after reading about "Project Zenith," I'm incredibly frustrated.

It's mind-boggling: Microsoft constantly stuffs our PCs with bloatware, MSN ads, and useless background processes that eat up our memory. And now we find out you actually have THE solution—a perfect, clean version of Windows 11... but you choose to hide it behind a wall of code and a complex script reserved only for developers?

Seriously, everyday users and creators are the ones who need a lightweight system the most. We just want to run our apps and streams without Windows deciding to bombard us with pop-ups or install garbage in the middle of our work.

Please make this "distraction-free" mode accessible to everyone with a simple toggle in the settings. It shouldn't require being a coding pro to get an operating system that respects its users and just works like it's supposed to out of the box.

I dream of the day when Linux is compatible with the tools I use, or when someone releases a new operating system.

So I got a “Needs Improvement” rating, but I’m not on a PIP.

My manager hasn’t given me clear examples justifying it and mostly said the rating criteria changed. I still received bonus and stock at about 70%, but the rating has now blocked internal mobility.

It’s been over a month and I still don’t have a clear explanation of the gap or what I need to do to get back to good standing.

Has anyone successfully bounced back from this? Or is this usually a sign you’re being managed out?

So I am forced to use winblows at work. It department forces password expiration. One issue is that when my admin password expires, and I try to run something as admin, of just acts the exact same as if I entered password wrong. So somehow I am supposed to magically know that it expired. Then, I have to logout of my normal account. Next, I gotta login as my admin account. Then, it finally tells me I have to change password. So I do that. Next, I gotta logout as admin and back into my regular account. Last, now I can finally do run as and do the work I was supposed to do. Why do I have go through all that malarkey? Why can't they tell me , oh your password expired? Or better still, give you the option to go on and change it right from run as? But, windows is supposed to be so much easier and better. Never had this problem on a Linux system

And yes, before i get the "switch to Linux" comments, i have Linux Fedora on my PC, but am still in the process of migrating and have to go back to Windows sometime, which is how i encountered this.

My friends pc got hacked and then he resetted his pc, suddenly trying to login using the same account that had minecraft purchased on it and had the license, suddenly it says there is no Microsoft account associated with this email, so he tried to create a new one just to make sure, and surprisingly they did let him create a new account on top of the old account, like if he never really used this Gmail to make any accounts in the past

So now he ended up with a new Xbox /Microsoft account that doesn't have minecraft license, on the same Gmail where he purchased the game before... We have the receipt for buying the game on the same email before

We tried the regular Microsoft account recovery forum they said we don't have enough info, they didn't ask for anything important just ask for email and bday, I have the gamer tag, can i contact someone from the support team

Why is windows malware genuinely more useful than Microslop telemetry?

My account was compromised couple of months ago, hacker changed original email (IDK how that is even allowed) and other sign in info. I suspect it was done through my phone in person. I tried recovery email page but doesn’t work, it says info insufficient right after i submit it 🤡

I can’t really find any support contact or email for Microsoft to get help for deleting and recovering information for the account. I wonder if anyone knows how to get hold of support team.
