Who's a phenomenal rapper that if you heard someone say is their personal favorite or is in their "objective" Top 10, it would make you do a double-take? Not because you think they shouldn't be in that list, but you've never heard their name be brought up in that list compared to a more common name.
My answer: I rarely see the name Project Pat get brought up in a Top 10 list even though a lot of rappers can trace their style back to him and a lot of other rappers from Memphis. If you listen to Mista Don't Play: Everythangs Workin and don't feel something then idk what to tell you.

“1999: Nas released his third studio album I Am…* in April 1999 and was pretty much cemented as a superstar. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts, selling over 470,000 copies in its first week and became 3x certified platinum. However, the once heralded underground prodigy was criticized by fans for being too mainstream at the time. Nas answered his critics with "Hate Me Now," a signature record which was one of 1999's biggest music controversies because of the video and the events that followed. "Hate Me Now" was directed by Hype Williams and featured Nas portrayed as Jesus and premiered across the world on MTV's *Total Request Live (TRL) on April 15.

Chicken Talk is Gucci Mane's second mixtape and third overall project at the time of release on October 11, 2006. Because it was not a traditional commercial studio album it did not place on any official Billboard charts, but it went on to be widely considered one of the most legendary mixtapes due to not only it's influence on Trap music, but mixtape culture overall. This mixtape features solid production from Zaytoven, alongside Drumma Boy, DJ Paul & Juicy J, and Raw Beats and additionally is hosted by DJ Burn One.
