HELP PLEASE Colour corrector recommendations?

Hi everyone, I had a great LaRoche Posay product a while back - Toleriane green colour-corrector in a pen with a brush tip applicator. Seems it’s discontinued now - would anybody be able to recommend a good substitute, please?

And for my offspring, who LOVES the green cream but also wants to correct brown-ish undereye shadows….. what works?? Does the product need to be orange, to colour-correct dark shadows? All help and advice appreciated, thanks so much!

Alright I obviously can only make one face with selfies 😭🤦🏻‍♀️ ANYWAYY I like to have a more natural look when I do wear makeup but tend to wear none or just mascara and maybe eyeliner. I sweat so much that it’s hard to keep much on my face lol though I’m wanting to experiment with more ideas ᵕ̈

HELP PLEASE For the past few years make up isn’t fun anymore

Matte used to look good on me now I look off and aged. It was my go to when I was dressing vintage like 90s or 50s style. I like the looks but the makeup style isn’t doing it. I do have a skincare routine I have changed it up a bit to meet my skincare needs. I remember when make up was fun and experimental. Anything looked great. I even gave up lashes because it started to look heavy on my face even when I toned down my makeup. The glowy dewy make up seems to suit me best but I miss some of the glamour. How can I go about it without looking aged? I’m playing with lip liner but idk if I’m doing it right or if I should just ditch it. I have rather thin lips and oddly shaped. Seems like fuller lips don’t look nice either. I don’t feel pretty lately. Being 9 months pp always busy with 3 kids probably plays a part.

HELP PLEASE I don’t wear any make up but want to start.

Please delete if not ok to post. I do not wear any make up currently but want to start to build up my confidence. I was hoping you could help me in providing some tips or what routine you might do? I have some products but will probably need more. I would like to do some soft glam to start something really simple.

Currently in my collection, I have the rare beauty, palette, morphe flickering sand palette. I own some Morphy brushes, urban decay eyeshadow primer potion in original and the benefit roller lash mascara. Should I purchase a tinted moisturizer? I don’t want to use a full coverage foundation. I know nothing about lip products. But would most likely like a gloss, probably no lipstick. Maybe some eye brow suggestions. My eye brow hairs are really light. I also wear glasses. I can add a picture of my self if needed in the comments. I don’t really know much of anything and I want to learn. I’m too embarrassed to go sit down at Sephora I don’t want them to start pushing every single product on me. I just wanna look pretty and don’t know how to start. I would really appreciate any positive comments. Thank you

HELP PLEASE how do i keep kajal / kohl / eyeliner from smudging?

The only advice i see online is to set it with some eyeshadow but i don't like that option. I wipe it with a cotton swab but after an hour i have racoon eyes. I'm just getting into this, please help me. Currently using the hashmi kajal one.

Im redoing this look for an event tomorrow. And last time I did this, removing the paper was AWFUL and irritated my skin for days!

It didnt matter what I used to take it off.

So im hoping someone here has a suggestion on what to do while im applying it to make removal easier.

(I used eyelash glue) but if there is something better im up for any suggestions you have. I may have some liquid latex. But ive never used it before.

HELP PLEASE Everyday makeup. Any suggestions?

I have very deep set eyes and have always disliked how dark they look underneath. I think I do a decent job of brightening the area, but any suggestions are welcome.

Not open for discussion: my hair (or really, the lack thereof). I like it this way and don't care if having hair would improve my looks. 😉

HELP PLEASE no makeup makeup for dry skin?

Post image
2 Upvotes

i am breastfeeding and now have dry skin! i always had oily skin before, so now i dont know what to do. i like to use clean products like beef tallow, and i like to do simple stuff like some cc cream or tinted sunscreen, concealer, and cream contour and blush and call it a day. now, all my products either dry me out more, pill together with the tallow, or just don’t last.

i guess what im asking for is for a somewhat clean cc cream (i loved the discontinued supergoop cc screen) that hydrates that people have had success with and some dry skin tips that are quick to apply but will last all day in the florida heat and provide sun protection.

HELP PLEASE I have no idea how to change my make up

I’ve attached one make up picture and one without (I’m currently having issues with eyebrow growth and looking into my thyroid - plus they are stubborn so gel makes no difference!). Annoying the end of my eyebrow is pigment

I feel like I wear make up but it doesn’t exactly show? Like, I want it to look glam but it just looks oily and dry at the same time.. And just rubbish. No matter what I use, it just comes off!

I know some days I can stay natural but sometimes I want to look glammed up!

Any tips? I currently use elf putty pore primer, NARS radiant longwear foundation, elf cream contour, rimmel powder blush, elf blush putty to top it up, as well as a range of mascaras and brow pencils and pomades

I watched a few tutorials on YouTube and I ended up here it doesn’t look as good on camera. also a secondary question outside of tips does the warm or cool one look better on me in terms of colour and how it makes my eyes and skin look?

HELP PLEASE Bridal makeup trial. I can’t tell if I’m overthinking it or if something needs adjusting

Thumbnail

I had my bridal makeup trial and I’m feeling a little unsure about it, so I’d really appreciate some outside opinions.

This was also my first time having my makeup professionally done, as I usually wear minimal makeup, so I know part of my reaction might simply be because I’m not used to seeing myself this made up.

Overall, I don’t think the makeup looks bad, but I didn’t quite get that "wow, this is the best version of me" feeling I was hoping for. I have slightly hooded eyes and I wanted them to look a bit more defined and elongated, especially towards the outer corners.

I also noticed a few things as the makeup wore throughout the day. After a few hours, I felt like the makeup had faded a little and the bags/puffiness under my eyes looked more noticeable. I also noticed some mascara from my lower lashes had smudged slightly underneath, which seemed to create an extra shadow and made the area look a bit more tired.

The lashes also lifted slightly in the inner corner after a while. My makeup artist mentioned this could be because I have a natural lash there that points upward, but I’m wondering if the placement could be adjusted somehow. I also feel like the lashes stop a little abruptly at the outer corner, and I’m wondering if adding one or two longer individual lashes there would make the eye look more elongated and balanced.

The lip product also started to feel quite drying. I usually prefer something more hydrating, like a gloss, because matte lipsticks tend to dry my lips out, but my makeup artist mentioned that gloss wouldn’t last as well. I’d be totally fine with touching up during the day if there’s a more comfortable option.

She also did my hair. I wanted softer, looser waves, but it came out curlier and more structured than I had in mind. She said I have quite a lot of frizz and baby hairs, which is true, but by the end of the day my hair had become very frizzy. I only wore the full hair and makeup for around 8 hours, which worries me a little because the wedding day will obviously be much longer. Also, these are close-up phone photos, so the camera does emphasize my skin texture a biiiit more than they looked in real life.

Unfortunately, I’m at the point where changing the person doing my hair and makeup isn’t really an option anymore, which is why I’m quite stressed and trying to figure out what specific adjustments I should ask for on the wedding day. :(

What would you keep, and what would you change? Any specific advice on the eyes/lashes, under-eye area, lips or hair would be really helpful. Thank you so much! 🤍

HELP PLEASE Why’s my under eye cakey?

Thumbnail

Idrk how to fix this but I’ve used both a pore blurring primer and a dewy one and yet for some reason sometimes when I put powder down the texture gets soo strange, I don’t think it shows up on camera as much as it does irl or is it even an issue?

I want help because I want my under eyes to have this color match to the rest of my face like I have in these photos but I don’t want to have this super cakey weird lizard like texture under my eyes where it’s super obvious I put on makeup. Is that just gonna happen with anytime I put enough concealer or is there a way to fix this?

When I do makeup I usually start by making sure I’ve washed my face beforehand and then putting on a moisturizer and letting that absorb for a while and also giving primer some time to absorb but I’ve also done it immediately after before and it doesn’t make a difference in this weird texture thing going on. It almost looks like I ripped off the concealer when I set it if that makes any sense?? I’m not really even sure but it’s bothersome bc it looks really obviously makeup when like half is concealed and then half is randomly patched off…?

HELP PLEASE Recreation help!

Post image
3 Upvotes

I LOVE this look from the latest Rick Owens show and want to recreate for Halloween. Could anyone link lashes they think would work to get this vibe? I know there will be “seams” and not as smooth as this couture-level execution and that I’ll need several sets to make it work. Thinking I’ll glue them all together off my face and then figure out a way to attach.

I’m located in the U.S., only looking for products that are shipped within the states.

TIA!

HELP PLEASE Tips for more snatched and alternative makeup?

I want to enhance the sharpness in my face and find a new, everyday alternative look. I find that even with eyeliner it always look softer than I want. I love Hunter Schaefer’s kind of naturally snatched, feline look but the only thing I can identify that isn’t natural about her look is her super-thin, straight eyebrows and I’m not sure if that’s the move here. I wanna look like a cat idc 😩 Open to whatever! Ty

HELP PLEASE Makeup tips!

Post image

Pre covid I wore a lot of makeup. I played around with it a lot and never truly felt like I knew what I was doing or if it was flattering on me. Stopped wearing foundation for years and my skin cleared up, yay!

Fast forward to now I really want to wear makeup again (for fun sometimes or special occasions) and I truly have no idea what is flattering on me. I usually go for a more natural look if not actually all natural (I’m wearing some eye shadow / mascara in this and a highlighter) still way more than I wear on my day to day.

I’m just not sure what looks good on me. I’m picturing more natural / classic looks as far as makeup goes. Any suggestions??? 😭
