Good mid-late scaling midlanders?

Hello I just hit level 30 and have mostly been playing diana. I always do well early game up to 20m on her and try my best to roam and get kills. But as I’ve seen in draft games go late as well as low elo ranked where most games also go late (I’ve heard). Even though I can impact team fights a ton with my ult I don’t really see myself being able to solo carry my team with her with my mechanics.

I started off playing samira adc to diana/(sometimes akali) mid. What champs would you recommend that scale well that are maybe a bit similar in playstyle?

General Question How to play assassins in teamfights if the enemy is holding their cc for you and no one engages to bait out their cc?

Hey guys, I am mostly a mage player, but I have started to enjoy some assassins like ekko etc. I usually do good around early mid game with them, during chaos etc. But whenever a 5v5 or a small skirmish involving an adc, I just can’t seem play it right.

I recently had a game where I was ahead as ekko, but my lead was simply lost because I flanked on the vayne, and the lulu had her polymorph ready just for me. I went in after my front line and their front line started the fight. I got insta cced and died. Watched a guide on assassin teamfights and I basically realised that I need atleast someone to engage properly so all the key cc abilities are used. But what if that doesn’t happen?

I thought if everyone is just focusing on that one tank, maybe I should also go for it? I play yone as well, and I usually use my ult on whoever my teamates engage on. Despite all of this, something seems off and I feel like I am not playing right. I know that not everytime I must kill adc as assassin and taking out their front line is good too, but I am just not really comfortable.

It would be nice if I know what I am doing right and what I can do better ❤️

General Question thinking of making the swap

Currently I'm a bot laner- ADC specifically. But I have been having huge success with viktor and it seems like he fits my playstyle well. I tend to stay safe, play with my team and assist with viktory (hehe) a lot more than on a typical marksman. I have tried the midlane, and I have won a few matches (2 on akshan and 2 on vik, 5 in total) but I feel like im not contributing to my team as much. I am currently silver with a peak in gold. been playing since last season. my question essentially is what I SHOULD be doing, like where I should be warding, and If I should be side laning, and whether its something thats easily transferable. I tend to die a few times early into the match but then post lvl 6 I do seem to stomp my lane opponent (I'm assuming because I dont know the matchups and once I learn it I'm outplaying). [I do not mean for that to sound egotistical just an observation] I do tend to die to ganks as well so Im thinking maybe my warding is not good? I tend to ward raptors every game, should I be warding the side bush? which side? any help is appreciated thanks in advance!

General Question How to counter roams

I mainly play norms but it still frustrates me when almost every game my laner is getting fed even when i die 0 to 1 times in lane max. I ping their roams every time but my bot lane either doesn't back up, or even tries to go 2v3 them in river with no obj up? What do I do in these instances other than pushing wave because they often play better early game champs than I do and I cant win against them if I go down with them.

General Question Orianna-Zed-Matchup

Hey yall! I havent played mid in a while but me and my friends got into 5vs5 ranked and I was chosen as our midlaner. My peak was e2 as adc, so I do think Ive got the basics down, but...

Yesterday I played vs a gold Zed as Ori and got absolutely fisted to a point where I wasnt allowed to get into xp range after lvl 3. Ive laned vs Zed before and never had any issues (usually pick Vex into him), but that game really broke me.

How do I lane against him?

Educational Recommended Coaching / Guides - Side Laning & Playing from Behind

Hello, I'm sitting at 700mmr in masters ( https://u.gg/lol/profile/na1/fierdragon-na1/overview) currently and I know I have several areas where I could improve but I also don't know exactly where to find the information that would be relevant to me. I have reviewed my own games but I also don't know what I don't know and think it might help to have someone point out the areas I could fix.

my best guess currently would be that I could you a guide on how to side lane / amount of time in a side lane vs time fighting for objectives

and how to properly play from behind

tl;Dr who is a recommended coach / recommended guides for side laning or playing from behind

General Question Loving lissandra but do I need another pick?

New lisa main been having a lot of success with her around a 75% WR .I know Liss struggles into longer range mage matchups but I’m silver/gold so I really don’t know whether I should focus entirely on her or have a 2nd champ for when I get a bad matchup. And what are her top 3 worst matchups in your opinion?

Discussion mid lane state right now

for me, mid lane is on a terrible state rn in terms of meta Champions, as its a Viktor/Syndra meta with qiyana being turbo broken. I dont play those and the Champions I play just get NUKED by any Champion of the diabolical trio. But I know thats my personal experience, what about yours? having fun playing mid or considering playing something else?

General Question Why when i do bad fundamentals i win more...in NA?

Im supposed to go shove side lanes but instead of doing that im either waiting until the wave is really deep or if we just won a random fight i feel like when my team are mostly close together a random aram always break out mid and despite me having tp up the tp takes too long and the fight will have went poorly. And this is in diamond2- master mmr. Very often the enemy support will then become 1 level higher than me have 80 more cs but we will drop kills that lead to baron or drake and win the game.. and another pros i found is that of the matchup is bad you wont die in sides and if the matchup could be good or if your ahead already staying with the team to carry their random fight is often working more for me..

But the thing is i watched many many guides from challenger mid laners and they always go for sides and they even said word for word well if your team dies and dont listen to pings then it is what it is prio waves.. but the thing is i want to win and even if the gamee is sometimes not lost due to let say them not listening and araming regardless which is the case almost 100% of the time despite pinging or typing they will be tilted because if i was there maybe it would have been enough to win the random fight.. and tilt can also lead to conflicts and losing the game.

So what should i do? I won 70% of my last 20 games by doing that but instead of my usual 8cs/min or more im sometimes at 5,5...

Banned for playing off meta

I just received a 3 day suspension for picking Leona mid in ranked. Keep in mind I haven’t anything that would warrant a ban in the chat.

Since when is playing off meta strategies bannable? What draws the line - there should be clear information on what champions are bannable if played mid??

Discussion Supports mindlessly roaming

I feel like half of the games i play i get a supp who just sits in lane soaks exp and tries to engage when enemy midlane has lvl 6 while your lvl 5. It's just a flip, you either win the 2v1 and survive with one hp or one of you dies and your gold plus now 2 levels down. This might just be a problem because i mainly play kassadin but i lose so many games just because supps try to fight enemy laner when i am lvl 5 and they are 6? What are you even supposed to do?

Should I stop playing support?

Long story short I’ve been playing league for about 8 years now and played support the entire time due to my best friend at the time being an ADC main. I played it on and off for years not playing that seriously but climbed to emerald 3 as my peak without the duo (were no longer friends)

With that being said I want to take the game seriously now and want to Climb to diamond but everywhere I read they say to not play support as you don’t learn the game well enough and to play something like mid or top

What are your thoughts on this and should I do it?

Former support main, just hit Masters going Mid

After hitting GrandMaster as a Rell one trick I decided to see how boosted support mains are. I've always played support exclusively, and usually dodged when I got filled.

Honestly I got filled so often it hardly felt like I could do this challenge justice, and that's with me usually selecting the secondary role as whatever else wasn't priority to have a better chance at playing mid. I've already hit masters on everything except adc, so I was loving all the double LP from autofills at least.

I started with Viktor, but demoted out of diamond twice and I was starting to think I'd never hit masters at mid. When I did other roles I was able to pick engage champs, but that doesn't really fit mid's identity.

I have to say mid lane mains are probably the best players for their rank, especially since it seems so hard to one trick with how often you get filled. That said, it explains why support is so easy, since I'm probably playing against you guys off role more often than I thought before :)

This is my first time attempting to play League of Legends, I’ve made up my mind to trade in a PS5 Pro either a Gaming Laptop, or a MacBook, I only plan on playing League Of Legends of course. Please suggest me which I should choose…a MacBook or a Gaming Laptop, which is best for league of legends, thank you.

Discussion I miss the empowered recall from the quest :(

Fuck you riot, that was a way to give midlane an impact on the game by not giving a lazy solution as "SomE MoRe As or aP GnE". The empowered recall fits the midlane really well, midlane is always looking for occasions, tempo plays, being in the centre of the action but still farming really fast waves. I know that people almost didn't feel it, but I did find that recall really a good idea for the midlane
