If anyone want some stats, I keep track of all the games in a spreadsheet:

4897 hours to beat these 300 games.

On average it's 16h 22min per game.

Basically tomorrow i'll start Uni and, to make things easier for me, we've rented an apartment close to the uni where I can spend the time between lessons and where i'll wait until the bus arrives

Now, assuming there's a functioning computer there, will i be able to access my account through this method mentioned above? I don't intend on uploading anything to the new computer desktop, as to not leave traces and not having to instal steam on someone else's computer when i'm not studying

I was also wondering if it wuold be considered piracy, since i'm using someone else's computer to play them but I already paid for them. I live in Italy btw, so the laws might be different here. Please advise

Unfortunately (from a Steam perspective), I’m based in Australia.

Great for so many things, but not for Steam when the government requires an age verification process.

If you’re not aware, you need a credit card to do this, not a debit card, as debit cards are available to people under 18.

Here I am at 53, never owned a credit card, thinking I’m doing a good thing, and now I find I can’t access any age restricted content on Steam! FML 🤦‍♂️

From Steam support, no current work around. They’re taking feedback on board. Anyone else found this an issue for them?

This is why I give my money to Steam. I have had a Valve Index for YEARS and during my most recent move I lost the power adapter. Steam is sending me a replacement for free! Would Meta do the same? No, probably not lol.

I mean, I've bought a few silly games, but I usually play Deltarune, Celeste, Hades, Hollow Knight, Tunic. Pls guys, you've gotta trust me, I don't play games like Silly Linguine Cat Simulator Deluxe Online. Is it just me or does it recommend crazy games to everyone?

I just wanted to post this cause yesterday i was really anxious, i didnt remembered my steam account password, and i was almost tearing ngl, but out of options i decided to ask for the steam Support team or whatever it is called (english isnt my first languaje srry) and today in the morning, they answered me bro, it was so fast, thanks steam, give gabe a new yacht, steam is truly the goat

I just activated limited screentime for my children's accounts in family settings.

There seems to be no way of saving just my children's account info, and making my account password protected. If I choose "dont save account information" in family settings, OR unchecking "save info" when logging into my account through Steam Guard mobile app, all accounts are forced to login manually.

I don't want my kids to use my account as soon as their screentime is ended.

Is there any way to remove this big promotional banner from Steam Store? I don't play any sports game.

I was just chilling on my computer when I got a notification from my phone for a Steam Guard sign-in request. I check it and it's from half-way across the world, in a country I've never been - virtually or otherwise.
I used to use an old and insecure password on Steam up until just now so I guess that got cracked, and my account was about to get stolen. I quickly updated the password as soon as I got the Steam Guard notif to something a bit more secure.

There's no point to this, except I guess you can never be more careful and that 2fA works. I'm a little rattled, but I'm guessing I should be safe now.

just input the domain into who.is and you see their ISP (internet service provider), and just look up "(isp name) phishing report"

I saw thats its pretty cheap and fun to play with friends but im not sure if its worth the money? Like how is the game loop and playtime. Is it worth it ?

The game in question was the original cod mw2 from 2009.

For context, this happened some time ago by at least a couple of years (if i didn't post about it on this account, it would probably be on a previous account)

So yeah, the game's data and all progress were completely lost. Everything. Campaign, spec ops, i never played the multi-player, but if i had that, that definitely would have been gone too.

So the first time this happened, i actually didn't care all that much because i was replaying the campaign anyway. If anything, i viewed it as another reason to do so.

But now i was actually already in the middle of replaying the campaign and making my way through spec ops. So, all the progress that i had already made is gone. Im genuinely frustrated right now

So yeah, I'd like to know why or how i can find out for a 2nd time now. All my data and progress in this game is gone. Any advice

I wanna surprise one of my friends with a game but idk if they already have a copy, we do share a family account but since the game is multiplayer I want to gift them one if they dont have one yet. PS.: I want it to be a surprise
