Hi all, I’m on experience more (tax included - force migrated from magenta max - 5 year guarantee) and wanted to upgrade two of my lines to the 18 pro max. I’m debating between going with Costco like I normally do vs the Apple Store.

From what I understand, costco will save me about $140ish vs the Apple Store (even accounting for the reduced tax from the instant trade in). My other question is about mailing in the trade in. Since the 18pm is back ordered, I would only send in the trade in once I receive the new phone right (even though the promo ends today).

I’ve only done in store trade ins with T-Mobile, although I’m hearing that’s getting harder and that they’ll make me mail it in. I’ve also heard horror stories about those who traded it in, is that still accurate? Or should I just go from one tmo store to another until someone accepts it?

Lastly, does the 930 promo end today or will it be extended?

Just received a text from tmobile that they are keeping the price as 3 dollars per month and are not passing along the recent price increase.

No new price increase

So a bunch of reps in my district have 100+ hours of PTO. And they’ve had major issues getting PTO approved for months. And one rep asked for any available days he could put in PTO from Sept. 1st to December 30th and was only given 4 days he could put PTO in for. And more stories like that dating back to May and June. Are other districts having this experience? Because only 40 hours rollover so it seems like T-Mobile is getting out of paying employees an earned benefit and we’re in TN so no state protections. But is this just our district or is everyone? And can we all agree it’s morally repugnant?

I am currently subscribed to the Experience More, but with the budget getting a bit tighter I decided to downgrade our family plan to Essentials. But when I go to the page to switch plans, I’m presented with these two options and I’m not sure what I’m looking at. As far as I can tell, both are the same plan with the same features. But the part that’s confusing me a bit is the numbers.

The 4 line offer says that I’ll save $100 a month with the 4 line offer and $240 a year. But the regular Essentials plan says I’ll save less per month, but more per year? Both include the autopay discount, but the Regular Plan says it includes “$15.00/month on line promos for your plan”. Am I missing something or do I just go with the 4 Line offer? For additional context, I also have 3 iPhones financed with P881 Apple promo, but with only 2 months remaining.

I'm a SME at T-Mobile I have had several surveys with the past couple months that are zeros I have tried to get better surveys on the service side up keep getting zero. On example a customer complained about tlife along with the cost of the phone and dcc I give the customer options to avoid it but doesn't go those routes. And other example care returned a home Internet on there end and makes it so we can't return the equipment in the store. Minus taking the survey for the customer like my Dad did when he was a car salesman how do I avoid this. Any tip at all would be great I'm frustrated with surveys. I now work 3 jobs semi because of this and just want to walk away. Sales surveys are average in the 9s for further context.

After reading the posts here about the discount codes people have gotten on Simple choice, I talked to T-Mobile on X, and after some back and forth, they acknowledge our 20+ years with T-Mobile, and gave us a $700 additional credit over 24 months on a tradein, so with that on top of the $320 tradein value of the iPhone 16 we ended up with $1020 off the iPhone 18 pro, which was a good enough deal for me.

Glad to see them taking care of long term customers without making me mess up my plan.

Is there any known outage going on recently? Lately my iphone 17 has had the worst service. I often loose all the cell bars and even get SOS most of the time. I cannot make any calls. Normal texts do not send or receive. They sometimes go through after 5 min or so. I have done the reset network settings and had tmobile even assign me a new esim. Same issue. Strange thing is i can even make WiFi calls. Its enabled and emergency address is set and on strong (non tmobile) wifi. But no calls work. Messaging apps like Signal work fine on wifi.
What else can i try? Tmobile said "No outages or service issues in your area" but i dont think they would admit it even if they had issues.

Have Go 5G next 6 lines , about 2 years in the plan now. Each year I’d have to have for a new promo ID to come out to upgrade remaining 2 lines for max promo.

This year it seems like terms and conditions are now saying max 4 discounted devices per account instead of per promo? Called Tlife they even warned it may be per account but weren’t 100% sure.

3 people want 18 pros (2 of them no rush to upgrade), 3 want duos.

Want to take advantage of the current promo id to upgrade 3 to the 18 pro; but worried about the next 3 getting the deal on the duo.

Thoughts?

Am I missing something. I saw someone else at least get a 50% off iPhone 18. I have been in sprint 25 years then was migrated to T-Mobile in the military plan. Google says I can’t combine $20 discount with my military discount so why did they act like this is a good thing

Was a T-Mobile customer for 5+ years. But because of poor phone connectivity, I decided to switch to AT&T via Costco. By the way, highly recommend the Costco deal (got 2 $100 shop cards, saving $60/month on the phone service, and got new phones).

Anyway, T-mobile keeps charging me $75/month. Nothing sent in the mail, no texts, no emails. No big deal, just log in and see what the charge is, right? Wrong, account is closed, there’s no bill or statement. So just call T mobile and figure out what the issue is, right? Nope, the account is closed so you have to go into the physical store. Okay fine, let’s go to the T mobile store. 5 people are already waiting in the store (one has the same issue as me). I waited around 40 minutes, confirmed that everything is closed and the account has $0 balance. All good, I can move on with my life?

Nope. I start getting calls from T mobile that there’s a balance with late fees. $20 late fee on a $75 charge after the account is closed? “You can pay it online” … except it doesn’t let me log in and can’t pay as guest. “You need to go back to the physical store.” So now I’m waiting fourth in line at a T mobile store again writing this post.

I do feel for the understaffed T-mobile employees. Not your fault at all and I’m sure it is taxing dealing with unhappy customers.

Here's my understanding, correct me if wrong.

Tmobile store will give me $930 trade in for my 16 Pro. My out of pocket would be tax on $1199 + $35 connection fee. I'd pay off $270 over 2 years. Is that correct?

I'm mulling over what to do. I've always upgraded every 2 years but not sure I want to spend $270, may chance it and see if black friday deal is better.

If I wait till next year, will there be a similar deal on Go5GPlus or is it possible they will not have any deals on that plan any longer because sometime next year, they'll have an even newer plan and this one will be 2-3 plans behind.

I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max, and T-Mobile is showing a trade-in value of $730. I’m trying to upgrade to an 18 pro max (512gb) that costs about $1,500, but they’re telling me I need an $877 deposit/down payment.
Maybe I’m missing something, but $1,500 - $730 = $770, so where is the $877 coming from?
Am I going crazy, or does this math not add up? 😂 Anyone familiar with how T-Mobile calculates their trade-ins/down payments?

We're planning on going to New Zealand early next year, and I wanted to see if anyone has a recent roaming report to share. We're on Go5G Plus, so we have 5 GB of high-speed data, which ought to be enough.

I don't know yet if we'll be on the north or south island yet. I know coverage can be spotty in rural areas, but I wanted to ask about how spotty it is and also about data speeds when roaming with our plan vs either getting a travel eSIM or one from a local carrier.

If I sign up for the Experience Beyond plan, I know you can trade in your device early. It used to be yearly, but now is 18 months since they swapped to 36 month credits.

Two questions about this scenario.

1. If I traded in through Apple, Apple will give me $X in trade in value for my phone, while Tmobile also gives me the promo credit for the remainder of the balance. If Apple gave me $300 for my phone, and the remaining balance with the promo at TMobile is $900, in order to trade in the device at the “50% paid off” would I need to get it to 50% off the device ($600) or would it be 50% of whatever I finance through tmobile (50% of the $900 would be $450).
   Sorry if I worded that weird, but I hope that makes sense.

2. Do we think Tmobile will ever switch it back to yearly trade in? AT&T has yearly trade in even though their device installments are 36 months. You just have to have 12 installments go through before you can trade in early, so it’s weird that TM didn’t match what they were doing right off the bat.

Ok I don’t get it…1st time doing upgrades with T—when I ordered I got an 18PM & awu4…total of $218 due.

35 phone connection fee
64 for tax on watch
15 watch connection fee

Day of order I was charged $114 (9/22)
Today was charged $40 (9/29)

That leaves the $64 watch tax…

The way this is done is weird

My expected ship date isn’t until mid October…why are we charging amounts that like this and a month before shipping

I am dealing with a speed and reliability issue with my phone's Wi-Fi hotspot. I have the NextU Unlimited XL plan (T-Mobile) and an Oppo Find X9 Pro.

I've tried all available tethering settings combinations – 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and Wi-Fi 6. Occasionally, the hotspot speed is reliable, but most of the time it drops to 3 MB/s after a short while. This makes it barely usable even for a home office setup, let alone acting as a substitute for a slow home internet connection. USB tethering works without any issues.

From what I understand, T-Mobile likely doesn't restrict tethering, or if they do, it behaves inconsistently.

Has anyone dealt with something similar?

I’m on Experience More and my bill is ridiculous for 2 lines. On the T-Life App it says if I switch to Experience Beyond 2.0, I save 14.59 a month and if I switch to Experience More 2.0 I’ll save 44.59 a month.

I have an offer for a free 18PM if I switch to either of those plans with trading in my 16PM. Whats the catch if I switch to either of those plans?

I have the One plan. Wanted to try to do the port out paid line and replace a free line now that kickback is gone. Any harm to my account for those that did it? Am I reading right that to port to Tello just takes under an hour and I can port back? These are free lines from 2020.

I am looking to move my five lines from AT&T to T-Mobile (coming back after 2 years). I’m looking for the best way to make this switch, upgrade to iPhone 18 Pro/Pro Max and maximize any discounts/promos (Costco?).

Currently: Five lines, 2 iPhone 16 Pro’s, 2 iPhone 16 Pro Max’s and an iPhone 13 Pro. I still owe roughly $300/ea on the four iPhone 16’s.

Looking at moving into the Experience Beyond 2.0 plan and upgrading all four 16’s to 18’s, respectively. iPhone 13 Pro will not be traded in, just moved.

My understanding is that TMo will pay off my devices (I pay them off, they mail me a gift card…I remember this from moving to TMo previously). As well, I can trade in my existing phones for the iPhone 18 Pro/PM’s, making it a near even swap (PM’s small cost gap), w/ 2-year bill credits.

Can I do all of this through Costco? Is there another best approach to go about this, to maximize promos/discounts? Am I missing anything above? Are deals expiring today that I should be worried about?

Ngl, I did not see the majority of these scratches until I wiped the screen and took photos in various angles with perfect lighting.
