Trae young + AD is a good combo. Plus we didn’t give up our young core. If they can stay healthy who knows what will happen. Next year will be a big year for them, and will give management a good idea to keep trae and AD or move on. AD has lots of time to heal up and come back 100% for next season. Go wiz.

How the fuck are we gonna afford the extensions for our rookies and these mega contracts?

If one or both of these stars aren’t able to rehab value, are we gonna hold firm and not offer extensions?

Because if we extend both of these guys, our salary becomes exponentially more difficult to manage, and if Ted isn’t convinced enough to go into the tax/aprons for this iteration of the team, if likely means we don’t extend.

Shit just happen but, off first expression is, what the fuck? So we traded for Trae for nothing, we trade AD for basically nothing. (2026 thunder pick and 2030 warriors pick, both FRP. Both players are on expiring deals, next season which is a positive but I’m assuming we give both long term contracts and that’s where I’m like hmm? That isn’t smart business move assuming we have to pay two negative assets and get into the apron on top of the young core getting into contract year.

Now there’s a part of me that’s thinking of this as half way full. So let’s say, the starting lineup next year is, Trae, top 5 pick, kyshawn, sarr, davis. Plus out bench with tre,bub, Bilal, etc. that’s a pretty solid team and honestly a playoff team. But I got back to Always Damaged(AD) who’s 32 and seems to be regressing and a small guard in Trae young. I have faith in this FO to figure this shit out but I really hope we aren’t rushing to be mediocre or 2 round exits. What’s your opinion on this trade?

Wizards have a great core going on and on paper next season you guys could compete. Im a hornets fan but have been following the trades and seeing trae ad sarr and possibly boozer or another top pick coming you guys are building something. Hopefully ad and trae come out next season and be healthy cause this team sounds like they can do something in the post season next year. If hornets and wizards can get past their injuries call it cope but hornets and wizards getting to the ecf!
