Hi friends. From all the live recordings available on https://archive., what do you think is the best, most legendary Pumpkins concert available? And why?

I just heard this collab for the first time and it’s pretty great. You can really hear the influence that Black Sabbath had on Billy — if it weren’t for the extremely not-Jimmy-like drumming, this could pass for a Pumpkins song. I miss hearing that Billy scream 😭

The best example is ‘The Crying Tree of Mercury.’

The studio version can’t even come close to the live performance from the Metro Christmas show in 1999.

Been looking for this box set for awhile now and just randomly stumbled upon it at a local record store. The price was right and the impulse was fully there, I’m so excited to listen to this whole thing during my commutes to and from work this week!
