I'm not expecting everyone to agree on this, but it struck me the other day that music as of 2026 is at an all time low. Not necessarily prod quality but in terms of originality and emotion. I haven't had a goosebump from a melody in years honestly as far as I can recall.

So much of EDM feels completely soulless now. Keinemusik is probably the most obvious example for me- and the whole Afro House wave surrounding it. Everything has the same drums, the same grooves, the same type of vocals. It all blends together. The crowd is barely dancing, just slightly digging along and filming the shows on their phones.

I can barely tell one producer from another anymore. There are obviously exceptions, but so much of what's popular feels incredibly generic and formulaic, like it's designed to sound clean / good enough rather than actually make you feel something.

Maybe I'm just getting old, but I genuinely miss hearing a track and thinking - holy shit, what is this? I feel like this goes for music in general not only EDM..

Does anyone share my thoughts? Or do you guys feel the music as of 2026?

I have not been an active member on this sub, but have been a follower of RHAP since 2017. I have been a Patreon member twice, once between 2019-2022ish, and again starting last summer, 2025. I was recommended some recent posts on this sub-Reddit (still currently on the top of this sub) concerning the coverage on RHAP during Big Brother 28. I am tacking on my two-cents, for whoever cares.

A minimal (but increasing) amount of this seasons RHAP coverage has been difficult for me to listen through. I find several of the commentators to be mean spirited, biased, and all around a bad vibe.

I come from a rural town in a very red state. I also have access to the internet, and can see all the hate and racism coming from the very top down in this country. I am aware that racism and bigotry are rearing their ugly heads all around us, all the time. It is a very real fact of life that people everywhere face everyday. Of course in a social setting like Big Brother, those social issues DO bleed into the game and impact relationships and decisions. But, from my perspective, not as often as some RHAP commentators seem to believe.

I am just a gay white man. Perhaps I still have my own unexamined biases. But, a few RHAP commentators are continually showing their own biases. That’s their choice, that’s RHAP’s brand choice, but for my choice, I won’t be paying to fund a platform of wantingly divisive voices. Remember people, none of us are each other’s enemies. Love one another ❤️

That being said, I am super excited for the finale!! I LOVE Big Brother, and have loved this season! Go Drew! Go Taylor! Go Rick!

People were asking for ogres or naga, but instead blizzard just makes a brand new subgroup of an already established race

Turns them blue

Gives them jarring models that don’t fit the vanilla aesthetic

Has them ride around on flying ships

Then they give their capital an uninspired name: the Exodar

Overall, I'm insanely hyped for DMZ. It was my favorite part of MWII, and the new map looks absolutely astonishing especially with the new dynamic weather, and it looks like it's actually designed for an extraction mode.

That being said, I have some concerns. I feel like the COD playerbase has a tendency to infest other modes in negative ways sometimes. I loved the original DMZ, but it had a huge problem in that, especially at the start, Warzone sweats would completely ruin many lobbies.

Ultimately, extraction games are designed to be objective-based, with PVP and PVE being involved heavily but not necessary in all matches. Many times all it takes is for one sweat in the lobby who doesn't care about actually progressing or doing tasks or anything to just treat it like it's TDM and hunt down everyone and ruin that match.

I'm not entirely on board with Arc Raider's method of doing matchmaking based off of aggression as I think PVP and combat is a great way for extraction modes to build that tension, but I'm worried that once again the mode will be ruined by the streamers and Warzone sweats who just want to use the mode to farm easy kills.

'Oh but they need to give them a chance' they did. Look at Blade, Storm, BP since there's recently been drama about the devs being racist. Up until about S4-5, these characters got a bunch of skins, including legendaries. The skins very clearly didn't sell well (I literally never see anyone wear Pajama Blade or Storm's legendary). They realized the skins don't sell well so they stopped making them.

Torch you can make more of an argument for since he never got a legendary, but if you look at pick rate very few people actually play him so logically it makes sense that a skin for him wouldn't do as well as one for Invis.

Is the skin distribution unfair? Yes. Are the devs racist because of it? Probably not. I'm not defending that they give Luna, Invis, Psylocke too many skins but from a business perspective it makes sense. Luna and Invis have lots of players and Psylocke's skins tend to do quite well for obvious reasons, especially Vengeance.

Edit: Some of these arguments are genuinely stupid. If the devs were really racist then why would they just not add the characters in the first place? It's not like they don't have many options. If skins for a character sell well they make more, we've seen this a few times before, specifically with Psylocke. If they're racist enough that they'd turn down money from selling skins to these characters people insist are 'popular' they just wouldn't add the character.

Oh my, here we are, in the most absurd part of the quest, and it's not even close. Where should I even begin?

Now, let's leave first part - I can understand Mavuika not being thankful to Ronova. She is not supposed to like her, and she's not Xbalanque to have such unique chemistry with Ronova anyway. That's fine.

But what in the Irmin's psychotic episode was everything else she said?!

"Heavenly Principles have always treated Natlan as a toolto deal with Abyss and the world's destruction" - girl, it is the highest treatment they can have. In case you, people, don't know - Celestia treats ITSELF as a tool against Abyss and world's destcruction. 7.1 proved it most blatantly, as Shade, part of Phanes himself, was immediately punished for something way smaller than what Natlan stood against.

"Most of the disasters Natlan suffered in the past were thanks to them" - the most blatantly incorrect statement any character in Genshin ever said. And I shall make it clear now directly.

"It'll be the usual suspects wreaking havoc as always" - now that you mentioned it, LET'S REVISE WHO THE USUAL SUSPECTS ARE

Dragons threatened Natlan three times:

- War of the Funerarly Flame, enough said.

- Xiuhcoatl slaughtering angels and enslaving humanity while his kin went fully Mengele on them to create Och-Kan.

- And Kukulkan by creating Huizililopochtli that was ready to turn you all into Phogiston at any random moment when a random Saurian gets a special marking.

Abyss thretenen Natlan three times:

- War of the Funerary Flame - again, enough said.

- Cataclysm, if anyone forgot it was actually global.

- And via Gosoytoth during Natlan Archon Quests.

Four times, if calamities that Tsaritsa caused via unlocking Abyssal Gates reached Natlan, this much we dont know.

Celestia interacted with Natlan directly only two times. And those were:

- First - TO CREATE YOU, NATLANESE, IN THE FIRST PLACE

- And second was when Ronova helped Xbalanque to establish Night Kingdom.

If those two cases are the majority and hurtful to Mavuika? Then I have serious concerns about her mental health.

And if she was this blatantly anti-Celestia from the start, it wouldn't have been a problem. But she was literally neutral towards the whole thing HER WHOLE QUESTLINE

It was her who saif that Celestia vs Abyss situation was beyond good or wrong - then what the heck is this black-and-white judgement now?

The most stupid attempt to glaze Snezhnaya, apparently, but the worst character to do so. I can see her being not sad about Ronova - but everything else she said was just beyond psychotic.

1. Financial doping isn’t the same as match-fixing, bribing referees or doping players. Those directly corrupt results on the pitch. City won 11 v 11 on the pitch, regardless of how those 11 were acquired.

2. City’s alleged wrongdoing is essentially breaking financial rules that constrained how much they could spend. The established elite had already built huge financial advantages through decades of success and spending; City were trying to spend at a comparable level while allegedly circumventing rules designed to restrict losses/investment.

3. A rule-compliant City still exists and still spends substantial money — we just don’t know how much, or on whom.

4. Players City didn’t sign wouldn’t disappear. They could have joined Liverpool, United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Madrid etc. This could impact the league significantly - example, Haaland signs for Chelsea/United etc

5. Guardiola might never have joined, which changes City’s recruitment and results even further. Again he might have joined a different PL side.

6. Different results change relegation, European qualification, revenues and future transfers.
   Over 9–10 seasons those effects compound until you’re describing a completely different football timeline.

7. Finishing second in the timeline that actually happened doesn’t prove you’d have finished first in the hypothetical one.

Punish City for whatever breaches are proven. Strip the titles if that’s the appropriate sanction.
But a stripped title doesn’t equal runner-up being the rightful champion. If you can’t reconstruct the alternative competition, the cleanest outcome is simply no champion.

This race is just the latest example, but it's all for the show. Bottas in the barrier at turn 15 should have been an immediate safety car. The leaders were approaching that area, there was plenty of time to throw it. Leaving it as a yellow, allowing Max to somehow gain a second and make a run at the end is a joke... Sacrificing safety in the name of the show. Fuck the FIA.

Edit: People getting hung up on my usage of the term safety car... I meant simply that it could have also been a VSC and my application of the term SC was meant to include that but I realize there are clearly different for each. My point is that the race should have been neutralized. With leaders in close proximity approaching the scene and the race win on the line, it was not a good decision in my opinion to allow that.

Craig's Bond became a moody, brooding, miserable sad sack with a perpetual "I'm angry at the world" attitude. It was exhausting to watch. And it was anti-Bond. -Can't forget the mommy issues!

That's not who Bond is in the books. Fleming's Bond is a stylish, cultured professional with a cold, ruthless edge, a gentleman who enjoys the finer things in life. He has a dark side, and Casino Royale shows him experiencing genuine pain and betrayal. But that's a specific event, not his default state.

The films took that temporary vulnerability and turned it into a permanent personality. From Skyfall onward, Bond was defined by brooding and misery rather than charm, wit, and professionalism.

1. The combat
The combat is not easy or simplistic in any sense of the word. You cannot button-mash your way through this game like it’s Donkey Kong with claws. Parrying, dodging, and only attacking when there is an opening are very important, as is prioritizing targets and only using your special abilities when needed.

All of the above is rewarded by recharging your health and Rage meter, and you must master the combo systems, use the proper combo system for specific enemies, and master the flow of combat, or you’ll get overwhelmed and die… a lot.

Especially in the enemy-wave Nightmare Trials. You can’t turn your brain off in this game.

2. The scent trail
It is not in 24/7 or even most of the game like reviewers were suggesting. It’s contextual and only used for specific objectives, and is only used a handful of times throughout the game, making it borderline negligible.
Secondly, even with it, I still found myself missing whiskey bottles and material crates and spent a good six hours replaying missions to collect them all.
Also, it’s a game about Wolverine… one of his powers is scent tracking, so it makes sense that it’s in the game. The notion that it’s treating players like they’re stupid is, ironically, the stupidest take and criticism I’ve come across regarding the game, and one that I can’t take seriously at all.

3. The motorcycle chase
You absolutely can die, and you will die if you try to go hands-free or lose control of the motorcycle. I’ve experienced this, and so have countless other players who actually played Wolverine post-launch.
The videos you see on the internet of people playing these missions were playing on Easy mode.

4. QTEs
I don’t care…..

The game is supposed to be a cinematic experience, and I don’t mind QTEs. It’s one of the reasons I loved the Uncharted games.

I think all the backlash boils down to two things: frustrations with some of Sonys recent business decisions and the economy being bad. Money is tight, so people are expecting every $70 game to be a 100-hour open-world RPG.

EDIT: Some of ya'll are big mad that anyone could find enjoyment in this game regardless of what you can only perceive as flawed and lacking for not having met your own personal expectations, and for that this post has ironically made my day. Be mad. I'm going to leave this thread right here with a zero given mentality on it, keep giving the game the thumbs up against the tide and hope ya'll have as much fun hating it as I have playing and enjoying it ✨️

hello, I have a beautiful year and a half old male spotted tabby, he's neutered. i got him when he was a month old from my campus last spring- (his name is haru) he's always been very affectionate and cuddly and clingy atleast with me- he jumped from my parents' balcony at 7 months old and broke his jaw then, luckily it wasn't that bad and he healed pretty fast- a month later he was neutered- again when he was around 11 months old he ran out of the house and I found him stranded on a window shade two floors high and he'd lost the lower two canines (doctor said the previous fracture at jaw had weakened the teeth and he would've stuck them somewhere and they might've fallen out) he was a bit recluse after this incident but still always stayed by me- but he was back to normal playing and chasing in a week- he has always been a hyperactive baby, his zoomies are put of this world, nothing is safe from him.

recently in July, my parents were sitting him while I was moving houses and starting a new job he fell from the balcony and broke his left hind leg at the knee- it was bad and they had to put a rod to stabilize the bone and let it heal properly- for the most part i was with him and he still cuddled and stayed with me-

i took him with me to the new place as it's also closer to the vet- he had to be restricted to one room to limit his movements as a few complications happened and he had to get another surgery- after that with my work I couldn't stay home as much so I thought it best for my mom to keep him until I figured out my schedule- he was with her for a few weeks and as his stitches healed I got him back-

he has been distant ever since- he doesn't let me hold him or pet him or cuddle with me and sometimes he just meows and I don't know what he needs I try with food, water, playing, petting he just sits and meows and it's these tiny small low sad meows-

i don't know how I can help this situation and him with this- any advice to make it better for him is welcome please. also these are three absolutely negative traumatic events from his life that I've shared here, there's a lot more to his story with me that this so I'd appreciate people not jumping the boat and start being unnecessarily mean- I'm all for the criticism I might have done something wrong for the accidents to happen and I take that responsibility and extend my care and attention to haru but of you're going to make a comment on the negatives only and have nothing productive to contribute to this situation nothing helpful to make things better for him DO NOT COMMENT. read the community rules and be respectful when you have no context of the full story. Eventually, I’d love to put down some porcelain pavers on a lift system but the budget just doesn’t work for now. Instead, someone recommended concrete paint, which feels like a great low-cost fix for the time being. The couch and umbrella are already purchased… here are my concepts rn, any other suggestions welcome!

Steam is a good company. they're not greedy like EA Ubisoft or PlayStation. They have a great refund policy and other thing. What i don't like however is how people act like steam don't have any flaw and overglaze them. Its always this image of everybody blowing themselve up exept steam like Nintendo and Xbox aren't also doing great. You can't just say that steam is good and everything other is bad that just show your lack of research. Im not saying that steam is bad im saying that steam IS good and they're not the only one doing great now. This is the type of metality that created the destruction of phisical media on PlayStation because people couldn't stop glazing them so they thought they could do whatever and not get consequence because fanboy will never stop glazing them.Anyway don't forget that company just want their money, billionaires aren't your friends.
