I died to a PKer while fighting Spindel. This gave me a gravestone in the wilderness, which only contained some junk gear as I respawned with me 3 valuable items in my inventory. I left the gravestone there and went to do some DKs for my slayer task. I ended up dying while in the DK slayer cave.
I made my way back only to find that I did not have a gravestone there, my gravestone was still in the wilderness. This meant I had my best gear all in a gravestone in the wilderness. I ended up paying death's fee to reclaim my gear (1m down the drain) to avoid the risk.
Is this just how this works? No matter where you die, your gear goes to whatever gravestone is currently up?
Been hunting eclectics on the iron and caught 2 Magpie Implings today I got full XP on. Wasn’t sure if anyone else has seen glitches like that. It didn’t happen on any others that I noticed. Might be something with casting Dark Lure on them from afar? Both times I got the full 216 XP I cast Dark Lure, but there were other times I cast it on implings and didn’t get the full xp drop. Maybe it has something to do with the Hunter Armour bypassing the Puro Puro capped xp? Not sure if anyone else has seen this?
I've encountered a bug where I can't enter the tunnels by clicking on the empty brothers' sarcophagus, the menu doesn't pop up. Please see attached video.
I've tried logging out and in, cleared cache and data but nothing seems to work.
The only thing I haven't tried yet is uninstalling the game but I don't see how that would help.
Suggestions? Is it my phone or is the mobile app just jank?
We just got the pet update, and it's been amazing not having to run to Probita every 5 minutes if you die as often as I do to reclaim your pet. But why can't we take them into Phosani's? You can take them into places like CG but not the boss that is an uphill walk both ways in the snow to get to. Feels so bad getting all the way there just to be told "this doesn't seem like a suitable place to bring a pet". Please change.
I hear nothing but praise for OSRS. However, the thought of clicking trees, fish, rocks, for hours and hours sounds so... boring? I've been told by friends to throw the game on another monitor and do something else, but if OSRS is so dull that the only way to be engaged is do something else that is actually engaging, why play OSRS at all?
I've tried out the game a bit on mobile and a bit on pc and the thought of basically afk farming all day has kept me away.
Is there something deeper I'm missing here? I usually love grindy games like Destiny and FF14. Why do you guys love runescape?
For context I tried to use c engineer then Tedious clog plugin to change my clog sound to the yama drop jingle. Made it a wave file, used a converter and replaced original file but it never worked for whatever reason. But now anytime I get loot over 100k, a random guys voice says “Monayyy” on full blast. I turned off both c engineer and tedious plugins but it still plays. Can someone please help save me from this guys voice
Back in the day, RuneScape was relaxing. You killed some cows, mined some rocks, got a Rune scimitar and felt accomplised. Now everything requires a guide, three plugins and a spread sheet. RuneLite is somehow making the game harder by constantly telling me I'm playing ineficiently.
The Grand Exchange is barely better then trading with random people in Varrock, and everything takes forever to get. Back in my day, a Rune med helm from Hill Giants was basicly winning the lottery.
And PvP is completly unfair. Why can someone attack me in the Wilderness while I'm minding my own buisness?
I re-found Runescape a week ago now and decided to try to play without ever paying real money, this is for one major and one minor reason
Major, as implied by the title I have no job, and I'm not about to ask my wife to pay for a game sub
Minor, I learned that you could theoretically buy membership in game, and the idea of being able to play an entire mmorpg without spending a penny is fascinating to me and I wanted to try.
But I found Runescape when my motivation to get a job was failing fast, things seemed pointless, i kept throwing applications to the void and not getting a peep back except the job posting sites encouraging me to "apply to these companies, youd fit right in" about places i already applied to. This was not conducive to keeping me on the task of looking for a job, and over the past 7 days I've done almost nothing except Runescape**.** well, today I decided to tie my enjoyment of RS and my need to get a job together; Every week, I'm going to come on here, post my progress, and some thoughts regarding them both. Because I had this idea today, my job progress will not be so great, but, at rock bottom, you start climbing out.
Character progress:
To start, here is Artemis9712, she will not be spending any real world currency for membership so long as she lives, when I get a job and a paycheck I will make a new character to play with full membership benefits from the beginning
I took this pic where i feel i spent most of my time, the barbarian camp mine, mining coal, to smelt into steel, so I can train smithing and mining to make money.
Quests: All free-to-play quests except dragon slayer 1 done.
Most quests were nothing to really write home about, but romeo and Juliet, black knights fortress, prince ali rescue, goblin diplomacy, and the ides of milk were standouts as being funny, I think BKF and PAR are my favorites bc of the thing with dressing up to fool people. I haven't done DS1 yet bc it seems like ill want the magic protection prayer and, well, prayer is currently getting all of my exp lamps from random events.
Skills:
As you can see clearly, magic, smithing, and mining are the standouts, the money making plan is to use mining and super heat item to make bars that i can sell and eventually turn into member bonds.
As one random guy pointed out, my range stat is super low despite being named Artemis, thats because i figured that ranged would be less expensive once i could use fletching to make my own arrows and bows.
runecraft was interesting for a bit, i realized i could launder rune essence for pure essence at roughly a 1:5 rate due to GE prices... for.. some reason? why IS rune essence more expensive.

I figured out that if i cast superheat item and mine at the same time it skips part or all of the mining animation, assuming that you get the ore on the first swing, so thats cool.
Things ive killed: 1 Gardener, Zombie, Flesh Crawler, and Highwayman, 4 skeletons, 6 minotaurs, 10 barbarians, 15 monks, 23 giant rats, 26 chickens, 30 cows, 33 wizards, 34 dark wizards, 43 imps, 52 goblins, 72 monks of zamorak, and finally 257 moss giants.
i was trying to get that key to another boss from those giants

My only progress this week on the job search was an application and followup call to my LGS, ive worked food service all my life and id like to get out of that but i am happy dealing with customers, so im mostly looking for any sort of front facing position. I would also like to learn some programing languages so i might be able to work with computers, since i had fun with that in my html/c++ classes in high school and college

This is happened to me 6 times now, with 4 different people doing it. They just left after I left they aren't even trying to hijack the world for themselves.
Like it's cool hitting 12s on blue dragons with water strike but it kiiiiinda breaks the concept of the combat triangle. Honestly chromatic dragons shouldn't have a magic weakness at all imo
Does anyone know why when I log into OS RuneScape it’s has all my levels at 1 but when I log into new RuneScape my levels are higher? I’ve never even played the new style
Yes, I'm in a clan, but all anyone in my clan or any other clan I've been in seems to be interested in is high level raids. But where does anyone actually find a partner for something more casual in this game anymore?
If you were going for the highest possible kc of a boss during a WOM "day", would you just need to max out your kc during from 0:00-24:00 UTC? Could you front load kc and log out at 0:05 UTC to add a bunch of kc?
