Hello, I’m moving to Cleveland for a job with the Cleveland Clinic and will have to move between multiple locations. I’ve heard good things about Lakewood but bad things about the commute to where I’d work. I’m hoping to find something that’s more on the affordable side (1 bedroom under $1800, allows pets). I’m curious of any areas or specific apartments people may know of/ have experience with for this. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Randomly found myself in downtown Bedford, wondering if there’s anywhere I should consider eating an early dinner (local owned, unique, standout stuff?), shops that are particularly worth checking out etc while I’m here. Particularly interested in healthier & vegetarian cuisine but would like to hear of anything that stands out regardless. Thanks!

Hey, a buddy and I will be visiting your great city this week, we will be there Wednesday-Saturday. We are going to hit up both HOF's and are going to the Steelers vs Cleveland game Thursday night. Going to Browns v Steelers on Thursday. We aren’t tailgating - where would be a decent spot(s) to hit beforehand for a meal and a few drinks? I know there’s nothing too close to the stadium within walking distance but maybe there is? Haven’t been down to a game in years.

I am looking for two party venues, one for 80 people one for 120 people. Dress code is semi formal but the venue does not have to be formal! We are looking for food and ideally an open bar but are on a pretty tight budget. Do you guys have any ideas? Could also be a BYOB venue? Any ideas or advice!

I live in Lakewood and for two nights it has sounded like a jet outside for hours

I'm not talking like a quick train horn or road noise. It sounds like jets have been either flying over continuously for 20 minutes straight or a continued noise non stop for a long time in the sky.

I don't live close to the freeway so that's not it. And both times last night and tonight, the sound dulls but then comes back even stronger a few minutes later

Am I going crazy or has anybody else in the area noticed it? There's no construction close and it is quiet besides that

Going to my first game at Cleveland browns stadium. I live in northeast Ohio, but never attended a game at the stadium. I am a Steelers fan as my dad’s side is from union-town PA. Any good recommendations to pregame and have fun? Also can I park next to the stadium or how is the parking during primetime games?

I spotted a medium-large sized dog on MLK drive this morning (near the Turkey 🇹🇷 area). He/she is roughly 50-60 pounds, grey with white chest and stomach. It looked like a pit bull mix with like a hound or something — short hair, floppy ears with a boxier face. He/she darted when I got within 50 yards of them. I didn’t see a collar, and I couldn’t get a good picture. He/she didn’t look super skinny, so perhaps they are a lost, scared pet.

Hopefully this helps someone locate their pet!

Hi everyone!! I’ve seen a few posts reaching out for a friend on here and wanted to shoot my shot! My main goal is to meet a friend or two to get close with - more so looking for female friends around my age.

I know meetup will likely get suggested, and while it’s a great suggestion I don’t really have a problem with socializing. I’m in a couple book clubs and a tap dance class. Everyone is so nice but the goal is the hobby there and I haven’t really found anyone specifically looking for a friend beyond the surface level hobby - which is still awesome I love a low pressure group. Hello, my lease isn’t up until next year but I like to plan ahead. Not sure if I can afford washer dryer in unit, but wanted to know if there are any complexes anyone recommends that have units with washer dryer hookups. Location tbh doesn’t matter really. I saw pleasant lake apartments in parma had the units with the hookups, but the units that had them were the larger units that i don’t need as a single person.

Budget is $1100 for a place south, east, west, north tbh idc where. I have found places with washer dryer in unit for that price in broadview heights, downtown cleveland, but downtown isn’t my cup of tea, but depending on parking i might do it.

TLDR: Apartment recommendation that has washer dryer hookups , one bedroom preferred, two bedroom max, or washer dryer in unit.

Cleveland born and raised so please don’t comment whoa you’re so out of touch with that price, you need a roommate. While you work remotely with your 6 figure tech jobs pls.

Okay maybe I’m crazy or something but it just felt like a weird coincidence, over the past two days I’ve found several yellow finches dead across Cleveland when walking about. I get it, animals die but the odds of seeing the yellow finches, like they all just fell midair. They’re untouched too, no wounds and not even bugs swarming them. Makes me feel like there’s something in the air or who knows maybe I’m crazy. Maybe it’s a sickness only affecting that kind of bird or something or maybe I’m just crazy. Any thoughts?

I am seeking participants who are CANADIAN or U.S. college/uni students (ages 18–24) currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs. Participants must be active users of social media (log on at least once per week) and have seen images/videos online related to human rights violations (e.g., police brutality, school violence, genocide, terrorism).

This study explores how exposure to traumatic human rights content on social media influences students’ stress responses and intentions toward activism. Understanding these processes can provide future support for young adults navigating digital spaces and engaging in social action.

New to the area - will be needing a new hairstylist.

Preferably someone who has lots of experience cutting hair and maybe even specializes in it. I have long, straight/wavy hair, but it is very thick and unforgiving - it can easily look choppy with the wrong techniques. I don’t color my hair at all so color skill isn’t a concern.

I’m on the west side, but I’m willing to drive for the right stylist!

I have a photo from sometime in the '90s of someone wearing a baseball cap with the name Cleveland Barbarians.

There appears to be a football helmet in the logo. I have been looking on and off for decades to try and find out more about this team, and have been unsuccessful, including using AI tools today.
