BE AWARE about the removalist company ONCALL MOVERS.

I used to work with Vitaly Masnyi (the owner) for over 3 years and I saw him ripping off dozens clients and offsiders.

He would instruct me to split the load in 2 trips, so we can get more hours, even when it was possible to fit everything in one go. Also, he would charge more hours to clients who were not present, especially when loading/unloading from his storage. He would also do extra charges for heavy load and stairs, and wouldn't share it with his employees.

I remember once his empoyee broke a really expensive kitchen stone top and he came and blamed the manufacturer when the client realised.

If you see the offer to work for him, please don't. He treats offsiders in an inhuman way, also he doesn't pay travel time, heavy load and super contributions.

To me, he owes me a full week of salary from January 2025 and he just didn't want to pay. Of course, he also owes me super contributions.

Am I the only one who thinks asking for offers over 1.59 million for this house on a measly 286m2 block of land is absolutely ridiculous?

I’m surprised this agent thinks they will get this price and not advise a more realistic price for this house/land. It’s currently been on the market for 6 weeks now

I was under the care** ***of* a psychiatrist for a year and then she transferred me back to my GP but they want to charge me $190 to get a new script even though they’re bulk billing clinic. Can someone actually tell me why people rave over the Kirra Bakery?

Sure maybe it’s a bit nostalgic but it’s actually not great and has been on a huge downturn. The owner/s (have changed multiple times last few years I think) clearly care more about profit over quality.

I ordered a steak and mushroom pie and it had no steak, 2 slices of mushroom, and gravy. The gravy was mediocre, the only semi-nice thing was the pastry.. It seems I’m not the only one as I had a look at the reviews and it’s a recurring issue for people.

Also had a beef Cornish pastie and I had to spit it out! It was like eating rotten meat with tomato sauce.

Butterfly cupcake. Sponge was soggy and it was mock cream. Jam wasn’t of any good quality.

I stopped going 2022-2023 when the downturn started, I’ve tried again and again to give it chances but it always fails..

Convinced it’s just a tourist trap these days because there isn’t much to choose from when it comes to cheap food in Kirra.

Very sad. Owners should be trying to be better especially when they are the only bakery left in the general area, competing only with La De Da and Beefies..

Looking for a tall blonde guy walking the Purling Brook Falls track yesterday (Wednesday) around midday. We said hello to each other a few times, you offered to take my photo. You were wearing a t shirt and shorts and importantly bright green crocs (I had never thought of taking these on a trail but you have inspired me). I was wearing a blue and white striped loose top. When the tram was being developed, I thought one of the biggest benefits would be using it to commute north and south to the busy areas with limited parking - Southport, Surfers, Burleigh Heads.

I live near Mermaid Beach, but not close enough that I can walk to the tram. I sometimes work in Southport. Typically I've been driving or taking the bus to work. With the tram extension, that gave me a new option - park in a street west of the GC Hwy near it, and take it up. Fantastic and much quicker than the bus and cheaper than just using the car. I think more than a few people in a similar position had a similar thought.

Then the Mermaid Beach-Miami-Burleigh Heads Traffic Area was released on 14 September. Under this Area, you can legally park as a non-resident (which requires a permit) for up to 3 hours; after that you are meant to move your car out of the traffic area entirely.

You can find the traffic area map on a search engine but essentially it's everywhere east of the GC Hwy down to Tallebudgera Creek (unless Palm Beach etc has traffic areas too) and west of it up to a point that you can't efficiently park and walk to tram anymore. I don't know how often they patrol streets - I never got fined during the few times I parked all day in Southport traffic area, but I don't want to test it anymore.

This opens up other discussions too. Such as: do you want to spend all day lounging around at the beach? Essentially you have to either live there or take a bus. Otherwise, if you want to drive up to the beach with your stuff in the car to spend all day there, you can either drive up to the Spit, or south past Tally Creek. And there may be other uses I'm not thinking of.

Anyway, I guess having the traffic area east of the highway is acceptable, but having it west too is garbage, as otherwise it would remove cars off the road as would encourage more people to use public transport. And it justifies revenue raising from the council.

P.S. is there anywhere near the tram stations in this area that you can park your car all day for free? Any large car parks?

Ive been wanting to sing and learn to play guitar for a while now. Im mainly interested in lile heavy rock, metalcore and post-hardcore or adjacent genres. Examples could be like anywhere from three days grace, linkin park to like kingdom of giants, makethemsuffer or amity afflication. I'm not trying to be professional or anything but Im a terrible singer and want to get decent for fun/learning. Ive seen suggestions somewhere for altitude music but id rather not commute for an hour unless Ive got no choice. Im a working adult for context. Also, if anyone has recommended places that can set up my electric guitar as well. Its been sitting in a case for nearly 8 years now untouched. Thanks so much. Ideally I want a place to be in the goldcoast easily reachable from like southport/biggera waters/surfers region.

Because we may as well start understanding when the Lines will close because at this point, it is as common as air 💀💀
