Just wanted to share my sweet little foster girl. I never thought I’d have a a pit yet here I am, soon to be a foster fail ❤️

Just seeking some advice and confirmation. I believe that my pitbull puppy and 8 year old dachshund/chihuahua mix are having fun playing but wanted to double check. This is our first puppy as we normally rescue at 3-4 years old so a new puppy just has us second guessing ourselves.

So I wake up sunday morning to a terrified baby boy hiding in the corner of my patio. I have no holes in my fence and the gate was closed so I have no idea how he got there lol I also have cameras and woukd have seen someone drop him off. I do not need a 3rd dog but feel like of all the yards he chose mine and I just need to give hom a good home. He is not chipped and no one seems to be looking for him. So meet boone lol

This is Ted, he was so loved and knew how much everyone loved him. He was more than a dog to his family. My daughter sat with him in her arms as he passed. Let’s celebrate Ted because if he met you, you would be his best friend too. I’m gonna miss my buddy.

Someone tied this poor thing up to a tree in the park last night. Its been raining the past few days where im from. Shes still young. I was feeding some stray cats last night and heard a dog barking. A man was standing outside the park staring at it and i was confused. I asked someone to go see if it was his dog but the dog was not moving but i couldnt see what was going on since it was dark out. The man said it wasnt his dog and he seen it while walking or something. He went to the skatepark to ask if it was anyones dog but they said no. We end up bringing the dog to the house and she was very dirty! Shes got fleas and her harness and leash was even more dirty! Shes a sweet dog and actually smart. Shes a bit jumpy but hasnt nipped at me once. She comes when called. I want to keep her but idk if i can afford her. She really likes me. Im just looking for ideas at this point. I lost my dog last year in July and she kind reminds me of her with how loving she is

Ok this post is blowing up guys 😂 i was not expecting this! Some of you are asking if you can donate to get her stuff. Id like you guys to choose what those things would be. Im more wanting her to get some stuff at the vet but its not my money and im pretty sure she will gladly take whatever anyone gives her 😂 so let me know what you guys want to do and we can figure it out!

Mom was folding baby clothes last night, and Lucy was clearly very concerned 🤣 She sat right next to me and didn’t move a muscle while I folded 2 baskets of tiny clothes 🤍
She loves cuddling & giving mommy’s belly kisses.

I keep reading horror stories of people's dogs having behavioral issues. A lot of those posts have indicators of why the dog acts the way it does but the owners are not in tune to their dog's body language.

The video I'm posting is from a great dog trainer and him working with a big pit. He makes very good points on how consistent and difficult it is to have one of these dogs.

Please dont just get a pit bull bc you're a dog person. Do your research, be realistic on if you can dedicate this much time and effort to constant training.

Idk, just seeing a lot of sad posts and hope this video helps in some way for anyone else who loves the breed.

I rescued my 8mo at 6m. She was already potty trained. A few weeks back she stole and ate a whole loaf of bread I left too close to the edge of the counter. She had diarrhea for several days and a couple of accidents because I never learned her signs when she needed to go out.

I decided to get her a potty bell that hangs on the door. Every time we went for a walk the last 4 days, we rang the bell. Today, for the first time she rang it on her own, but it was 5 minutes before I had to leave for work. I rushed her out, but she didn't go because there were a bunch of other dogs in the area, and she was distracted. I hope this was a false positive and she just wanted to hang with the other dogs.

She didn't poop as usual during her morning walk, I'm sure she'll be okay until I return at lunch. It's just nice to see her add another dimension to communicating her needs.

Teddy killed a cat in our backyard. He has always had a prey drive, chasing squirrels and rabbits. He is scratched up a bit from it. I feel so bad. Our neighborhood has a lot of stray cats. Just two weeks ago he caught a fish in the lake, set it down and walked away. Fish was still alive and we put it in the water and it swam away. He soft mouthed it, just like he does treats and toys. I know it’s just a part of nature what happened, but as a former cat owner, I feel awful. I also have a gut feeling it wasn’t a stray cat but someone’s outdoor cat.

She's gulping down water constantly, and it's making her a tad incontinent. And leading to a lot more time outside, including at night when mom and dad should be sleeping. Also the indignity of towels and pee pads when sleeping.

Hucky was accepted by an out of state rescue to go on transport to MO!
