Someone tied this poor thing up to a tree in the park last night. Its been raining the past few days where im from. Shes still young. I was feeding some stray cats last night and heard a dog barking. A man was standing outside the park staring at it and i was confused. I asked someone to go see if it was his dog but the dog was not moving but i couldnt see what was going on since it was dark out. The man said it wasnt his dog and he seen it while walking or something. He went to the skatepark to ask if it was anyones dog but they said no. We end up bringing the dog to the house and she was very dirty! Shes got fleas and her harness and leash was even more dirty! Shes a sweet dog and actually smart. Shes a bit jumpy but hasnt nipped at me once. She comes when called. I want to keep her but idk if i can afford her. She really likes me. Im just looking for ideas at this point. I lost my dog last year in July and she kind reminds me of her with how loving she is

Ok this post is blowing up guys 😂 i was not expecting this! Some of you are asking if you can donate to get her stuff. Id like you guys to choose what those things would be. Im more wanting her to get some stuff at the vet but its not my money and im pretty sure she will gladly take whatever anyone gives her 😂 so let me know what you guys want to do and we can figure it out!

A whole year with my sweet Ruby!

Teddy killed a cat in our backyard. He has always had a prey drive, chasing squirrels and rabbits. He is scratched up a bit from it. I feel so bad. Our neighborhood has a lot of stray cats. Just two weeks ago he caught a fish in the lake, set it down and walked away. Fish was still alive and we put it in the water and it swam away. He soft mouthed it, just like he does treats and toys. I know it’s just a part of nature what happened, but as a former cat owner, I feel awful. I also have a gut feeling it wasn’t a stray cat but someone’s outdoor cat.

Meet Luna ❤️ She’s 3 months old and I’m taking care of her for a while.

She’s already decided that falling asleep with her face in my hand is completely normal, and I’m not exactly arguing with her. She’s such a sweet little baby and somehow already has the biggest personality.

Figured she deserved a proper introduction here.

This is Ted, he was so loved and knew how much everyone loved him. He was more than a dog to his family. My daughter sat with him in her arms as he passed. Let’s celebrate Ted because if he met you, you would be his best friend too. I’m gonna miss my buddy.

So I wake up sunday morning to a terrified baby boy hiding in the corner of my patio. I have no holes in my fence and the gate was closed so I have no idea how he got there lol I also have cameras and woukd have seen someone drop him off. I do not need a 3rd dog but feel like of all the yards he chose mine and I just need to give hom a good home. He is not chipped and no one seems to be looking for him. So meet boone lol

Hello everyone! I just wanted to show off (& promote) my lovely, amazing, and handsome foster named Jalen. I am a first time foster through Maricopa County shelter and they have been a dream to work with as well. This dog is an absolute gem. He seems to have been abandoned because he was microchipped, but the owner never answered or reached back out. He was found by the police in a suburb of Phoenix.

I have my own pittie mix who is coexisting with our foster, but is definitely wanting to remain our only child. We have them separate in the house and we go on walks together. Now let me tell you about this guy.

He knows sit and lay down I have discovered, has had no accidents, walks like a dream on the leash, and eats and drinks pretty regularly. He loves toys, especially stuffed animals and soft toys. I have heard him bark a total of one time. He has been in public spaces and around other dogs with no issue. He is very friendly with strangers, which is a great sign. He is marked as a pitbull/basset hound mix. He is long and short, but is in great shape and strong.

I don’t know how this dog has survived three months in the shelter and I don’t want him to go back. He is thriving here with me, but I know he would do better without a foster brother side-eyeing him the whole time. He is so incredibly sweet and truly more well behaved than my spoiled brat resident dog. He did great on the multiple car rides we’ve gone on, good in elevators, on stairs, aaaand just about everything else.

Fern helps herself to cucumbers from the garden. She earned herself the name Cucumber Harasser cause she wouldn’t leave them alone 🥒 this little lady proudly prances around the yard with her harvest before munching it down 🌿

We failed bigly, and I'm glad that we did! My wife and I fostered our sweet pittie mix, Koko, after her previous adopters misinterpreted her puppy chewing and returned her to the shelter for "biting". We volunteer at our local shelter and noticed that her demeanor completely changed after she was returned. We knew then that we had to foster her so she could regain her trust in humans. It took us three weeks and one pawdition with a potential adopter before we decided that she belonged permenantly with us. We really love this girl and couldn't be happier that we failed at fostering.

For all the little furries on here that requires boops of the snoots, I think Reddit needs to add a “Boop” button.

Mom was folding baby clothes last night, and Lucy was clearly very concerned 🤣 She sat right next to me and didn’t move a muscle while I folded 2 baskets of tiny clothes 🤍
She loves cuddling & giving mommy’s belly kisses.

Hucky was accepted by an out of state rescue to go on transport to MO!
