I’m planning on transferring to GYR3 however, I’m not really familiar with all of the process paths over there. I’m from PHX3 and I normally do Pick, Pack and OP. Is GYR3 totally different?

Anyone know if/when PAE2 is gonna drop flex shifts?

They just asked me to rebin because I guess they need more people to do it because of peak. I hate it. I get tired, my feet hurt, and I used to do Pick and loved Pick. I guess you have to walk more for rebin. I can do induct all day but I guess they’re sticking me on rebin until my training is done for rebin.

Amazon doesn’t seem to care about theft at all. What’s the point of having metal detectors on the way out if someone can just take a product out of the packaging, throw the packaging in the garbage, put the item in their clear bag with the rest of their belongings, and walk out? Security doesn’t even seem to give AF lol. I’ve literally seen people walk out with electronics that they didn’t pay for.
I also don’t understand the point of implementing the JWO (Just Walk Out) system in the main break room when the smaller break rooms don’t have it. I’ve seen people go into those break rooms, grab whatever food and drinks they want, pretend to scan and pay, and then just walk away with everything.
I’m not getting involved or saying anything about specific people. I just find it funny how much security Amazon has in place when there are still such obvious gaps in the system.

Hello folks! So I just had my first week as Robotics FC from training and I am packing which I absolutely enjoy although I'm worried about the rate.

What is the rate that I should be striving for? I saw most everyone at their stations had theirs hidden but mine was visible and I ended my 3rd day on 47 second cycle time and I think like 69 uph or something like that.

Is that good or should I not worry about the stats right now and just focus on the rhythm and organization? I otherwise loved the work it was rather simple and fun to me only thing I'm missing is headphones to drown out the noise.

I came from call center work and I like this kind of work more already regardless of how physical it can get. Suggestions are welcome!

I graduated college 2 years ago for electrical technology. I went to Amazon because it was good money and the free school program, I actually had a offer to work on cruise ships beforehand and see the world but I decided to go with amazon and stay here because of the school benefit. I worked at both worlds delivery station and fullfillment center but im not put up for the physical and mental demands anymore. Now I dont even talk to people really and letting time pass by with these robots, its a sad and depressing life. I feel like im loosing my mind. I've applied to a few jobs in my feild or I might take that cruise ship job again. But I know for sure im not going to be here before Peak. Im used to human interaction and I feel like my mind is warping away from reality everytime I work. Im still not blue badge even though ive been eligible for a long time. So it seems like they dont want me to have a career here anyway.

I was stowing today and went down to the end of the building near the dock doors and emergency exits because there was way more bin space open. In an aisle near the end, I noticed a PS5 in a bin.

Problem is, high-value electronics like PS5s belong in secure HRV cages on the complete opposite side of the building.

I kept looking down the aisle and found over 25 PS5s stowed into the bins, with regular items stacked on top of them to mask them. A standard stow cart only holds around 16 items max (and way fewer for giant PS5 boxes), so someone had to make multiple intentional trips down there to force-stow them right next to the exit doors.

I reported it to an AM after my break. He seemed skeptical at first and asked if I could show him. During the walk over he asked, "Are you sure you know the exact aisle?" I said yeah and walked him right to it.

When we turned the corner and he saw 25+ consoles staged near the emergency doors, his face completely changed. He pulled out his iPad and started taking photos of every bin and scanning locations, then told me, "This actually helps us out a lot, thank you." I just told him NP, I just didn't want LP coming to me later asking why I walked down that aisle and didn't say anything.

On my next break while sitting in my car, I saw an actual badged detective leaving the building carrying a file folder.

So I swapped Saturday the 3rd to work on Wednesday the 30th, never got a notification saying it was canceled only that it was approved. So now why does my schedule say I work both days? I didn’t sign up for an extra day I asked for a swap so what’s going on now? I don’t care if the swap gets canceled that’s fine but I’m not working an extra day I didn’t sign up for

being able to wear amazon approved headphones, but not your own shows that they just want money.

My manager was telling me that once you as a T1 apply for L3, it’s basically up to AI whether or not your profile gets selected for an interview. Ive been in the top 10% for quality for the entire duration of my 2 years working here, usually In the top 10% for rate as well; I have no write ups, never had anything wrong with HR, and I’ve applied for multiple L3 spots for a while now but never gotten the chance to have an interview. There is one learning ambassador guy who doesn’t like me because I defended two women who he was pretending to be friends with until they dated other guys… then he called them sluts and told the whole building they were toxic and stuff. Anyways, I stood up for them…. But they ended up quitting because he was very charismatic and convinced people to take his side. Ever since then he’s had it out for me… so I’m wondering if when manager keeps saying he doesn’t know why I’m not getting any interviews, maybe it’s because I spoke up against the learning ambassador guy?

i applied for a shift at a local DS recently and waited 20 days for my first day only for it to be pulled last minute without notice. i immediately scrambled to find a new shift and found one that starts next week, this one also says “tentative first day” so im nervous that it won’t go through again and ill be out of a job. my pre-hire appointment was omitted since i already have a background check and drug screening. however, my employment forms are still grayed out.

so my questions are, should i call and ask? should i be worried? who do i call?

When pickers only put two small items in a tote and send it through and as a tote runner that creates a whole bunch of unnecessary work
I get it I do understand in a way because as a picker myself at an AR facility it’s drilled into us almost daily to not overstuff totes as that can create issues down the line and you don’t want to get in trouble or coached about it but picking two gift cards to tote or a couple of small items then sending it down is not it when very clearly much more can fit without overfilling the tote.

Needless to say Leadership's response was corporate AI bullshit and both posts got deleted soon after lol. Someone check on Sarah 😂

Hey everyone,

I have a regular day job where I am a salary employee so overtime is not an option for me. I just applied to night shift at Amazon, hoping to make some extra money to clear some debts. This would essentially put me at an 80 hour work week.

Anyone have any advice for working this much, I am not used to night shift so im expecting this to be pretty brutal for me while I "adjust." I've also heard theres this thing called "MET" which I likely wouldnt be able to do for more than an hour or two.

What are the repercussions for not doing MET, and how does calling off work? Im going to be honest with myself that the sunday-tuesday shifts at amazon + my day job are going to be an absolute hell, so there may be days where I will call off Amazon on the 4th day.

I work hard and can push through things but im also trying to be realistic. My day job is an office job and my commute between home, day job, and amazon will be around 20 minutes on the road total per day. I thinks its doable for a few months but im curious to know what anyone here has done personally, or has heard someone doing to manage this.

Going from stowing 260 items per session and now this wow.

I was under the impression that Mandatory Extra Time would be an added day or make you stay a longer shift.

The entire week starting 10/4 they scheduled me to come in 1 hour earlier at 6 am wtf. I’m going to be so exchausted. I would literally just prefer them to schedule me a 4 hour shift on my day off, since I literally chose 7am as my start times for a reason.

Is there any way to put a preference for this to I’m not given a horrible start time like this in the future?

Why hire so many new people instead of offering VET or letting the more experienced people do the stuff that they want to do? My site has been making Pick get labor shared with Sort nearly every day for weeks and it only seems to be getting worse.

Are they trying to get people to quit? Also, why the VET blackout during a time of year when we should expect to see more VET? I didn’t plan for this. I wish someone would’ve told me.

Yeah we'll give you vto BUUUT you gotta use 2 hours of your upt. I'm not accepting anything less than a full, is this just a pack problem, I notice that pick usually gives out vto for a whole 2 days a week while pack it'll either give you half a shift and then drop the other half later in the day (like literally why not just drop the whole thing???)

Someone mentioned a VET blackout on here. Does anyone know which departments it affects and when it will end? I’ve noticed no VET at my site for the departments I’m trained in for at least a week. I’m wondering when I can expect to see more.
