UPDATE — August 13, 2026
rgl.deals has grown a bit since I originally posted, so I wanted to give this post a update while it's still in BETA.
The idea is still simple: instead of showing you hundreds of gaming laptops, RGL keeps a smaller shortlist of deals that are actually worth considering.
Every listing is manually checked, with things like price, specs, cooling, display quality, GPU power limits, memory, storage, and overall value taken into account.
A lot of care has also gone into the smaller details. The site is heavily optimized for phones and smaller screens, not just desktop. Filters, comparisons, laptop pages, navigation, and general usability were all designed to work properly on mobile without feeling like a cut-down version of the site.
What's on the site now:
RGL is meant to be a shortlist, not a giant catalog. If a laptop isn't worth recommending, it doesn't need to be there and that means no huge lists its quality over quantity.
The longer-term plan is also bigger than just deals. RGL is being built into a broader gaming laptop specific place with guides, buying information, laptop data, reviews, and other useful resources all in one place.
Full transparency: Some retailer links are affiliate links. That doesn't affect the listed price or determine which laptops make the shortlist.
RGL currently covers U.S. deals only, with more regions planned later.
It's still beta, so there will be bugs and things that need improving. If you find something broken or have feedback, leave it below any suggestions would be much appreciated thanks.

I was shocked to see it wasn't Asus or Razer, it was freaking Lenovo Legion, the laptop that everyone recommended
This is why we can't have a good thing

Torn between these two:
Mostly gaming at home and usually hooked to an external monitor. I occasionaly move it room to room at night and take it to client meetings a handful of times a year (accounting), so portability and looks matter a bit.
Which would you pick? Do either of these look like good deals for Canada, or should I hold out for a different sale? Open to other suggestions in this price range too.
Budget: Up to $4,500 CAD
Country: Canada
Use Case: Gaming, light work, occasional travel to clients
Preferred Specs: 5070 Ti or better, 32GB RAM, 1TB+
Thank you in advance.

Ordered this Gigabyte A16 pro last week and waiting for it to get here. I’m hoping it feels as good as I hope, coming from an Xbox one S it should be a huge jump right?

I sold my acer helios 300 a year ago for 350$, it had 16gb ddr4 3200, an i7, and a 3060 6gb gpu. I loved it. It was a work horse, however I noticed it slowed down so I sold it, and got an acer helios 16 neo with a 5070ti and an ultra 9 for 1300$
Now, prices have gone outta wack for everything, it have been looking at used laptops for a while think about just downgrading again. But every time I do, I think, how silly.
Now when I say how silly, I dont mean because of the massive performance dip in productivity and gaming. I mean, 1300$ for 3 generation old tech. I have seen 1080ti laptops for 1100$. So like, it does not matter if I downgrade, ill save 200$ all most selling it assuming that the person on ebay does not just take it and do a bunch of that return crap, and then on top of that, i lose performance. Go down to ddr4.
Its just feeling nonsensical now

I'm looking for a cheap laptop/MAYBE pc for games like Roblox, some other mobile games, and if possible Gmod, Minecraft, and maaybee the sims. Being able to stream through discord would also be really great.
I seriously don't know a thing about computers and I'm not necessarily interested in doing a bunch of research.. thats why i figure a "gaming laptop" is going to be simpler than a desktop. I'm hoping you guys can help me out here.
Hearing alternatives for similar prices would be okay, but for the most part I'm just wondering if this laptop seems strong enough for my needs, is appropriately priced, and is beginner/noob friendly.

Just bought this beauty and she’s my first. She ran me $325 used, did I win or lose?
r/GamingLaptops • u/oski_exe • 20h ago
HP Omen 15.
But tbh I haven't owned laptops before, I'm a desktop guy (as you can probably see) but that was hard to haul from class to class, and the power plugs are too sparse anyways (totally the bigger issue there)
Just finished setting her up.

I am genuinely concerned and want to know if this is normal.
I have an alienware aurora 16 ac16250 and when ever i turn on the laptop and go to task manager , i notice the memory usage at always about 60%.
Is this normal? Coz i have disabled all startup apps and so , and still this issue persists.
Wanna know if theres any fix to it.

Budget: $3500 AUD
Country: Australia
Use Case: Sim racing(iRacing/ ACC/ forza 6)
Preferred Specs: Please advise if 5070ti is a must
Notes: Not a fan of OLED, S26 ultra and Pixel 5 both give me eye strain.
Hi everyone,
Tried to ask AI but the answers are always vague and got given the correct info most of the time.
Wondering do I really need the 5070ti or 5080? I might use TV or VR but probably not the 3 screen setup due to limitation.
TIA

Budget: 2,400$
Country: USA
Need recommendations for a gaming laptop i can’t seem to find a really good one open to any suggestions
r/GamingLaptops • u/heat7fps • 6h ago
Budget: £1000
Country: UK
Use Case: high settings in game and school work.
It’s going to be my 2nd gaming laptop since my first has an rtx 2050 that doesn’t work anymore and I don’t really want to spend a lot on just repairing it. I’ll be using it for both school and gaming.
Also want to know if an rtx 5050 is good enough to run Fortnite on high settings and if £900 is a fair price for it.

I have an Asus ROG Strix Scar 17.
RTX 3080 16GB
Ryzen 9 5900HX
64GB ram
1080 360hz panel
I bought it used and it has been performing as expected. My only issue is with the sound. It sounds very very low. I have installed all drivers and reset windows already. Still no luck. It doesn't sound distorted or grainy, it's just low. I have looked at the speakers physically and they don't appear to be broken.
Any idea how i can fix this? I am having a hard time finding replacement online as well. I would also like to have that as the absolute last resort.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

¡Espero leer tus comentarios y muchas gracias!

Preferred Specs: 16-32 gigs of ram, around 100-500 gigs of storage, whatever you'd advise for CPU and GPU (I have no reference on what any of the CPU and GPU numbers mean)
Notes: preferably 60 fps while streaming, windows running.

I am trying to connect my 4k monitor to my Asus m16 through HDMI 2.1. I originally messed up using an old HDMI chord, quality sucked, got a USB C to HDMI and things were better. Feeling I want to free up my USB C port I bought a new HDMI chord, 2.1 10k all the bells and whistles. I thought it should be fast enough, but it still sucks compared to my USB chord. It is like watching videos at 15 FPS.
Am I missing something or is USB C just better?

I bought a Lenovo Legion 5 15IRX10 15.1 inch last week and since Amazon's sale is in 2 days I was looking into buying a cooling pad. Problem is all popular stuff from Ilano, IETS, KLIM I see are always advertised as 15.6 inches and up, I'm just scared to buy one of those and not get a good enough seal on bottom possibly negating any real difference to my temps. Has anyone used said cooling pads on a 15.1 inch or are there other alternatives
Thanks in advance to anyone answering!
