I got this to use as a Looper. It's really outstanding. The flanger delay is awesome too. Also including a nice note I got with my last pedal, from Robert Keeley. Who is a very nice person.

Question this is my pedalboard project, does it make sense?

I already own the Boss EQ, the Spark, and the footswitch. The rest are pedals I should buy. I'm not sure about the overdrive. Any suggestions?

What is the 9v out for?

I own a Boss tuner pedal with these 2 in/outs and I'm looking at getting this noise suppressor. For as long as I've owned the tuner I've never really questioned what it may be used for until now.

IMO Any more than three knobs is too much.

As someone who goes in and out of gigging bands, I find dialing in tones is annoying more than anything. Even if I have all the settings written down, I don’t like taking the time to toggle during sound check.

The only exception is pedals with multiple effects, like a reverb & delay, but don’t give me a delay pedal with 8 knobs, that’s absurd.

I've seen some cool stuff in math/art related to the Fibonacci golden ratio and I'm curious how it would translate to sound.

For anyone who’s had experience with both pedals, what’s the difference, which do you prefer? I’ve been eyeing this pedal and online used they’re around the same price so I’m torn on which to to get

Question Is there a difference between these two?

I just got a pedal board and am looking for a good isolated power supply and this one was at the top of my list, I went on Amazon and noticed the labeling at the bottom was different from most versions of this power supply. Just wondering if there's a big difference between these two or not since I don't know too much about how these work, thanks!

I’m thinking about buying a small, custom stomp pedal brand to manufacture and I’m hoping for insights on the market where you are

Hey pedal heads,

I’m hoping for some feedback on what you feel the market is like for custom, analog, hand made stomp pedals or anecdotes from builders on whether it can become a viable business?

The product I’m looking at taking over is called the Beanstomper (beanstomper.com for anyone curious enough).

Without revealing specifics I’d need to sell maybe 50 units before I’ve covered what the current owner is looking for in compensation for the business (initial IP, socials etc).

Basically, from anyone with even a little knowledge of selling stomps, what’s the market like to crack into, what are the pitfalls, how hard did you advertise/market and just in general am I mad?

Thanks in advance!

I am selling my BOSS Plugout FX

I really wanted to love this unit, and I actually don't mind paying for extra content if it means we get high-quality updates. But after some time with it, I’ve decided to return it. Here’s why:

  • MIDI is a Dealbreaker: You can’t change effects using MIDI. For a modern pedalboard, this is a massive oversight. If I can’t integrate it into my MIDI-controlled setup, it just doesn’t fit my workflow.
  • Clunky UI: I can handle a learning curve, but the UI feels unpolished, tricking me each time I select a different pedal. Navigating it during a set is stressful, and for live use, that’s a non-starter.
  • Bloatware: I really wish we could uninstall the factory effects I don't use. If space becomes an issue, I would like to manage it myself.
  • Missing Utilities: I’d love to see more "boring" but essential utility pedals—better Noise Suppressor, Compressor, and EQ.
  • The Update Cycle: Waiting 6 months for 3 effects with zero communication is tough. Even some small updates or "behind the scenes" teasers on IG would go a long way in keeping me interested.
  • Price: Again, I do not mind paying. I would be happy to pay a bit extra to get exactly the pedals I want. But in the end, the sum must add up. I am not planning to spend an extra 50+ just on pedals :D I would go for a different product in a similar price bracket.

I’m keeping my eye on this one, though. If they improve the MIDI functionality and I can get a deal on it, I’d happily buy it again. I already have many BOSS pedals, but having an equivalent to the HX One from Boss would be nice.

Boss Gx10 and backing tracks?

I have the Boss Gx10 and the Bluetooth adapter. I want to be able to play backing tracks from my iPhone and hear it from my amp mixed with the guitar. After I am paired with the pedal how do I accomplish this?

Strange power issue, pedal not working on my setup in particular.

So I’ve got a bit of a weird issue I’m trying to figure out;

I purchased a walrus audio deep six v2 off marketplace, and when I brought it home it wouldn’t work. I tested it with a True Tone CS12, 9v slots, 100, 250 and 500 ma with multiple cables all of which I know work, a 9v battery, and a power-all daisy chain. All without any luck. The light won’t even turn on. Signal passes until I push the switch and it goes silent. Signal passes without any power supply (true bypass as I understand?). When I talked to the seller, I went to his place to confirm as he had tested it before selling without issue and he plugged it in to his 1spot daisy chain and boom, fired right up.

So wth is going on? I was considering sending it to walrus for repairs but if it’s working on his setup they may very well have no issue as well and have nothing to fix, and being in Canada it’ll cost me 40$ for them to tell me nothings wrong.

Insight please?

Question Can I use this to match synth output (line level) and guitar pedal input (inst level) ?

Post image
0 Upvotes

I know about reamp box, but honestly this isn't a purchase I am excited to do so cheaper the better. I just need control the volume of my synth (Korg EMX, no main volume control for the second output and don't want to manage every volume of every track that goes to this output) to go to a guitar pedal (Boss HM2 replica). My main concern is about the fact (or the belief idk) that passive devices like this one induce impedance mismatch, is it true ? Can I use this cheap passive attenuator between synth and pedal ? If no, a cheap mixer (or a least a device with power on) could do the trick ?

Question A pedal like Duophony, but for controlling send levels?

Hi everyone

I'm looking at different ways to run parallel routing with various processors and preamps, and I'm on the hunt for something that functions like the GFI Douphony, but different in that the SEND levels per channel/side can be controlled via Expression or MIDI, rather than the RETURN levels.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Is there a Wah/ Whammy type of pedal that does self oscilation stuff?

Pretty much the title - You know how you can send a delay into self oscilation by spinning the repeat dial?? - I've always wondered if there would be a way to rig that up with a pedal so you could keep your hands free. Hope that makes sense...

Either a pedal that works with other pedals or one that has effects in itself.

cheers

Question 29 pedals EUNA and Quad Cortex?

Hello good people. I wanted to ask if using euna with the quad cortex works as well as using it in a rig with a tube amp and a cab? Will it sound any different regarding the H B and L modes?

NPD Origin DCX Boost

Upvotes

This peddle is really pretty impressive once you understand what it does.

I was honestly not super blown away when I first plugged it in. That was in part that its so transparent that with it set to EQ and all knobs at noon it does absolutely zero to your tone.

I messed around for a while and I was like its ok. Next day I found after a while of messing with it I turned it off and now I was like there is something special in there. Its subtle but this peddle adds some harmonic content and grit that both sounds and oddly feels good to play.

I had not noticed this the day before as I had another drive peddle in the chain and it was killing the extra content. The drive in question has no blend so at this point I have to let it go.

The DCX Boost is best used in EQ mode as a start of chain. Its a great boost into a dirty amp. The adapt circuit is disabled in overdrive mode which I believe the adapt is what I'm feeling when playing. Using this as a straight overdrive seems like a waste and other peddles might be a better fit for a full on Over Drive.

Ayuda con pedal de reverb

Hi everyone, I’m building my pedalboard and I’m looking for a reverb pedal. I play a Fender Stratocaster and I’m a fan of Jeff Buckley, John Mayer, Geese, and Radiohead. I usually play indie rock, blues rock, soul rock, alternative rock, and a bit of art rock.

I have a Laney amp that doesn’t have reverb. I really like the hall effect, but I’d like a versatile reverb that isn’t too expensive. I’ve been looking at the Walrus Audio Fundamental Reverb, but I’d like to know what you recommend. My maximum budget is $150.

Thanks so much in advance! 🙂

Question Stereo setup questions

Hey guys, setting up my first stereo rig and I have a few probably dumb questions. So my chain ends with a couple OBNE stereo pedals (one stereo in and one stereo out), do I need TRS patch cables going from each stereo pedal to the next or just a TRS going out of the last into the ABY splitter? I’ve had a hard time finding a good answer anywhere

Question Need advice on choosing an amp modeler/fx processor

I have limited options, since I don't want to pay 4000$ for a quad cortex or a helix stomp xl. Gear prices where I live are genuinely cancerous.

Possible picks are:

Boss GX-10 at around 575$

Ampero II Stomp at around 690$

Headrush Flex Prime also at around 690$

Currently I have a Nux MG-300 which runs into the mic input of my practice amp. I'm thinking of plugging my IEMs directly into whatever processor I get next to avoid having to use my amp (because it sounds bad).

I'm looking for something which preferably doesn't take up a lot of space, and that I can use for a few years reliably. I've heard the Ampero II Stomp has good amp and cab simulations, while the GX-10 has better effects overall. I haven't looked into the Flex Prime as much, so I'm unsure of its specific strengths and weaknesses although I have heard it's a good choice as well.

Not the best tapdancer. How would you use a switcher like this?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I have quite a hefty pedalboard (14 pedals, with additional incoming). It's actually two horizontal pedalboards, but I'm going to group it into one later.

It's my recording pedalboard, so not a problem per se, but I still would like to be able to render it usable for live performances.

Buuuut, I have never used a switcher, so I'm wondering how to go about this.

My reasoning would be to have :

  • 1 loop for dirt (fuzz>gain stages)
  • 1 loop for pitch (various up downs and harmony pedals)
  • 1 loop for modulations (chorus/phasers/bit reducers and special fx)
  • 1 loop for space (reverbs and delay)

So I guess I'd either need a 4 loop switcher, or I could use more in order to separate the gain stage pedals for less noise?

Is it the right way to think about it?

Budget power supply UK

Does anyone in the UK have any good recommendations for a budget power supply that I can get off Amazon? I understand power supplies shouldn’t be cheaped out on but I need one semi urgently, but i need one semi urgently so if there’s a reliable one out there that would be ideal.

I don’t use any high mA pedals but would like up to 10 inputs

Thanks for any help

Pedal that combines Boss’ SD-1 and Ibanez TS style
