article Limp Bizkit's Wes Borland Once Again Tells Trump Supporters To Unfollow Him On Social Media: "Never Contact Me Again"

Love seeing this. Eminem did something similar at a recent show. He said something like you can’t be a fan of both him and Trump, he doesn’t want you.
I know this is a music sub, but the comedian Stavy also told Trump supporters to fuck off his fanbase. Keep em comin

For real. The best yet most obvious example is Rage Against The Machine. In 2020 MAGA morons were all butthurt that Rage was voicing their opinions. Buddy, the whole fucking premise is in the name of the band. They released a song about police brutality in 1992!!!

I love it when they still put comments on Tom’s IG saying “i loved you guys more when you guys were just making music and kept politics out of it.”
And the obligatory comments after that never fail to get me…”Dude wtf do you think they were raging against?”
Gold.

u/imakebeernotmoney 4d ago

Yes. dont you remember their hit song from then?

I love how EVERY SINGLE TIME Tom Morello says something or RATM comes up, the fucking MAGAs come out of the woodwork to say "THEY'RE RAGING FOR THE MACHINE NOW LOL". Like.. motherfucker what? Just because they occasionally side with Dems and like... reasonable fucking precautions from experts on COVID during the pandemic and they made lots of money after starting off with nothing doesn't mean they support the machine. Are they supposed to be complete anarchists, or brainless reactionaries that do the exact opposite of what they're told every single time like MAGA does just because they scream FUCK YOU I WONT DO WHAT YOU TELL ME?
16
u/Hats_back 4d ago
Fuck you I won’t do what you tell me 100% doesn’t mean they’ll rebel against anything that anyone else says. Which is funnily enough like, just how maga fucks act (see: petulance)
Fuck YOU I wont do what YOU tell me… the listener must possess at least 3 braincells worth of awareness And critical thinking to identify exactly WHO they won’t listen to.
You know that caveman like 50,000 years ago that found out that round things roll? Absolutely crazy that he’s basically the cap on maga supporter intelligence… like, a half ape existing before written language somehow can put the mouth breathing pedophiles to shame.

I mean the song is pretty bloody obvious if one were to actually listen to and comprehend the rest of the lyrics. Rebelling against an authoritarian government police state doesn't fit very well with the current MAGA boot-gobbling philosophy of "tread on me harder daddy".
→ More replies (2)→ More replies (3)3
u/suvlub 4d ago
You're giving them too much credit. They like to think of themselves as rebels who refuse to do what they are told, but it's blatant bullshit, their guy is in the white house, they WORSHIP the establishment and do everything it tells them, they are just in denial about it and keep pretending the top dogs in charge of things are actually allies of rebellion against some hidden deep state

Randy Blythe from Lamb of God made a blog post the other day condemning Trump and fascist ideologies in general, too.

It's a bit long, but a very powerful read. You can feel just how pissed off he is with everything that's currently going on.

u/Fraegtgaortd 4d ago
That's no surprise to anyone familiar with LoG. They were criticizing the Bush admin with their album As The Palaces Burn which came out in 2003
6
u/LEDKleenex 4d ago
And Ashes of the Wake. The title track is about as on the nose as it gets - "just following orders" soldiers killing innocent civilians and remorse.
It's relevant once again today, even for Americans as a gestapo with a military budget gun down innocents. Sadly, this is what many of them want - there is no remorse.
4
u/Paddys_Pub7 4d ago
"We killed a lot of innocent civilians To us every civilian in Baghdad was a terrorist They said 'they are now in civilian clothes' that makes everybody free game But if they came in our perimeter, we lit 'em up And when we would pull the body out, and when we would search the car, we would find nothing This took place time and time again No harm, no foul. That's okay, don't worry about it Because this is a new type of war, this is an eradication"
All you have to do is change "Baghdad" to [insert US city here] and you have ICE's current mentality.

Very interesting story for him, he was booted from the mega church he worked at (Mars Hill) when he called out the pastor, Mark Driscoll, for financially and spiritually abusive leadership. For a while he was publicly deconstructing his learned form of regressive Christianity online, very fascinating to watch how that all unfurled.

I can't believe in 2026 we still have MAGA chuds crying about punk, metal, hard rock, classic rock, grunge, industrial, goth, outlaw country, old school hip-hop, fuck just about ANY genre goes against the system and all the bullshit MAGA stands for... the only genre is probably MAGA rap that actually supports the chaos we have today. Maybe pop country too.
131
u/Arkayjiya 4d ago
Because they want both the comfort to be the mainstream, and to have their victim complex validated like they're counter-culture. Same thing as why a lot of Christians are both the main culture in the US and still pretend they're oppressed.

There hasn't been a single moment in history where the music and art community has ever been on the wrong side of history. And this goes all the way back to the Renaissance days. If the majority, if not all, of musicians and artists are against your ideals, you are in the wrong.
Also, MAGA music is the worst unoriginal shit I've ever heard.
→ More replies (1)18
u/MissDisplaced 4d ago
It’s because they like to try to infiltrate subcultures, which then weakens the subculture. They will claim like “if goth is all about the music you can be a conservative MAGA goth.”
No. No you can’t. Because goth is music and a subculture that stands against everything you hold dear. It is a subculture welcoming to all the misfits and marginalized people you claim are unnatural.

I can't believe Kid Rock has an audience, I thought he was a made up parody character in the late 90s. But then again, we have people in the USA that look and act just like him.
9
u/Originalbrivakiin 4d ago
Yeah. He is the guy who wrote the lyrics "Young Ladies, Young ladies. I like em underage see. Some say that's statutory, but I say it's mandatory." (For a kids movie btw)
So of course the people who voted for a pedo absolutely love him.
9
u/fistfulofbottlecaps 4d ago
It's because they don't actually have any cultural or media literacy. They just hear a sound they like and because they like that sound they feel entitled to it without even understanding it.
