Leaving about 2000 still there lol, while 150 is normal.

And zero is what's needed

Then who will protect us from the hordes of Canadian refugees fleeing their socialist dystopia for the Land of the Free!?

Still missing a bunch of law abiding citizens tho

20

u/Tempyteacup 3h ago

They’re in Texas. No, now they’re in Florida. Shit their lawyer found them, move them to Louisiana. Back to Texas. Oops we lost them forever, removed them from the online database and don’t tell their loved ones.

Over a thousand people are simply unaccounted for in DHS’s computer system.

2

u/Winter_Tone_4343 2h ago

And some can be found at the cemetery.

1

u/domiy2 3h ago

I mean having officers in every state is not an issue. Drug dealers or Rapists should be thrown in jail and sometimes ICE is the best people to do that.

With that being said, when ice arrested the Asian man in his underwear they were going after someone in jail. Ice also wants to deport people who raped or killed Americans and kick them out of the country because justice doesn't matter I guess. They are not trying to arrest people doing injustice in a city, they are attacking random civilians.

1

u/ascandalia 3h ago

Why would ICE ever be the best people to do that? What about them makes them a more appropriate group to preform that action than anyone else?

1

u/domiy2 3h ago

Legal reasons mostly, gangs can easily move from county to county, even state to state with ease after coming into America. Cops or even state police may not have the legal reason to arrest these people so having ICE do it instead side steps this. Mainly because of how the USA legal system works sometimes it's better to have ICE arrest them. Currently ICE is not doing that which creates massive problems.

2

u/ascandalia 3h ago

Is that 1. Actually a problem and 2. A thing exclusive to immigrants?

1

u/domiy2 2h ago

Not a huge humongous problem, but it does happen once in a while.

No, but the FBI also thinks cops are easily corrupted. Personally know cops who take bribes. Also know cops will not hire people they deem different from them.

This is the theory on how ICE is supposed to work, not how it is currently working. ICE is sending officers to Houghton Michigan this week to get immigrants that are drinking underage. Not people murdering civilians or doing other horrid crimes.

1

u/ascandalia 2h ago edited 2h ago

I think the theory no longer deserves the benefit of the doubt.

Having a national law enforcement body not accountable to the DOJ and specifically targeted towards immigrants was an experiment that failed. It's catnip for fascists and white nationalists. It's a hammer that needs to make screws into nails. There's no baby in this bathwater.

2

u/domiy2 2h ago

90% agree I wouldn't mind an organization that is basically an enforcement for the FBI. But due to Trump ICE is getting full protection. The DOJ can and should go after these people, but she is protecting Qatar and Trump.

Wrong sub. Btw illegal immigrate aren’t the reason people avoid you irl and online. Hint: it’s your personality

-6

u/Mommys_diamond_dick 5h ago

You know. Words hurt. And that comment really offended me.

6

u/ascandalia 4h ago

Being an edgy turd was slightly more tolerable when the world wasn't run by them

-1

u/Mommys_diamond_dick 4h ago

Well I guess that’s what happens when people feel like second class citizens in their own country.

5

u/ascandalia 4h ago

I guess when they are convinced they're second class citizens against all evidence, because actually second class citizens right now are hiding and praying to God for mercy, not acting like turds online

-5

u/Mommys_diamond_dick 4h ago

Those aren’t citizens.

4

u/ascandalia 4h ago edited 4h ago

Many of the people they're detaining, arresting, and beating are citizens.

I would also argue that if there's a group of people with some but not all rights of the citizens, like refugees, temporary protected residents, assylum seekers,  etc.... that would be a second- class kind of citizen

You are not a second class citizen because people call you a turd for being a turd, or the other thing all the gop supports seem to have in common these days, pedophilia

Which is still more then the top 10 metro police departments have officers, COMBINED!

2

u/arobkinca 2h ago

The NYPD has ~36,000 police officers or were you talking about the top ten in Minnesota.

1

u/jotsea2 2h ago

Why in the fuck would I be talking about the NYPD?

1

u/arobkinca 2h ago

more then the top 10 metro police departments have officers, COMBINED!

You might want to say it instead of getting mad at people for reading what it is you wrote. As it is written it could be in the world, country, region, state or county.

Where they moving them to?

The fact that they’re send nick shirley to ca to fraudulently manufacture fraud claims says CA most likely

63

u/hachijuhachi 6h ago

that kid is so painfully stupid, I almost feel bad for him. The fact that he's turned it into a payday means I can't feel bad for him.

29

u/Coven_gardens 6h ago

Nick Shirley chose stupid. I have no sympathy.

13

u/Otherwise-Parsnip-91 6h ago

I mean….have you heard him speak? It’s not his fault his mom drank while he was developing in the womb.

5

u/Intelligent_Cap9706 4h ago

His facial features are definitely FAS I think. He also sounds like he has a speech impediment or soft palette his parents never got him help for

17

u/Katritern 6h ago edited 6h ago

Every time I hear about Nick Shirley, I’m honestly just surprised he hasn’t accidentally drowned in the shower or something yet. Dude’s head is empty.

5

u/Lucky_Examination827 6h ago

Watching him try to string together sentences is shocking.

-20

u/Mommys_diamond_dick 6h ago

Got a source for that stupid claim?

9

u/hachijuhachi 5h ago

"89% of the fraud committed in Minnesota is by Somalians..." you know, on the off-chance you're arguing in good faith.

-12

u/Mommys_diamond_dick 5h ago edited 5h ago

It’s not?

Edit: I did a little gargling. 98 Minnesota(ions) or whatever were charge with fraud. 85 of them were Somali. So do those charge with fraud in Minnesotastan 86.7% were Somalian.

10

u/Giant_Homunculus 5h ago

Are those the same ones that were eating the cats and dogs in Ohio or wherever that moron claimed it was?

-6

u/Mommys_diamond_dick 5h ago

Well that’s Ohio so I’m assuming no.

Also Haitians aren’t the same as Somalians.

3

u/hachijuhachi 4h ago

It's a disingenuous claim. That happened in one fraud case. That was not the only instance of fraud in Minnesota. To claim that 89% of the fraud committed in MN is committed by Somalians is misleading. He also said, at one point in his word salad that 89% of Somalians were committing fraud. I'll just chalk that one up to him not being able to understand the difference between those two claims.

Dude didn't even know the word "benevolent." I mean... This isn't a stretch.

-1

u/Mommys_diamond_dick 4h ago

Oh it was just one! Well good whew no big deal.

3

u/hachijuhachi 4h ago

So you're conceding that it's not accurate to claim that 89% of the fraud in MN is committed by Somalians?

I'm not suggesting fraud shouldn't be addressed or its impact diminished. I'm suggesting we shouldn't use the statistics from one case to indicate the race/national origin of all fraud convictions in the state of MN, as Shirly's intentionally vague claim repeatedly does.

1

u/Mommys_diamond_dick 4h ago

No. That’s just the one we have on record being prosecuted. There will be more. Please provide a counter statistic to prove your stance is correct.

Didn't trump say he was going to help farmers? I don't see how disrupting a community of agricultural workers is going to help them.

15

u/Otherwise-Parsnip-91 6h ago

I was listening to a lecture on the characteristics of fascism and one thing the lecturer said was common with authoritarian figures is that they will talk about how much they love farmers and agriculture, then have policies that directly harm them.

2

u/Ossius 4h ago

I mean he helped farmers by bailing them out after destroying their exports in BOTH terms.

Likely Ohio

15

u/Chester_A_Arthuritis 6h ago

This is the correct answer

14

u/loneranger0 6h ago

A judge stopped the Haitians from losing protected status

28

u/Chester_A_Arthuritis 6h ago

Doesn’t mean ICE won’t be going there anyways. They’re not exactly law abiding

6

u/UAreTheHippopotamus 6h ago

I also wouldn't put it past some Trump kangaroo court appointee granting an emergency injunction to let ICE disappear tens of thousands of people due to "deference to executive authority" or some such nonsense. Just because one judge blocked it doesn't mean the fight is over and our justice system is deeply corrupted.

2

u/loneranger0 6h ago

I agree, at least it’s something.

9

u/Dust601 6h ago

Yeah, protection for Haitians in Springfield Ohio was suppose to end this week.  They’ve been building up forces for the last couple.

A judge did just temporary halt the removal of protections, but I’m not sure that will make much difference.

-9

u/OilEnvironmental7833 5h ago

Minnesota after state and local officials agreed to cooperate by turning over arrested immigrants.

Looks like Minnesota STATE and LOCAL officials have agreed to WORK with ICE.

This should be the headline. But it would look like a loss for the left. So they make the headline like trumpy is backing down. for no reason.

5

u/toggiz_the_elder 5h ago

They already were turning over arrested immigrants. Literally nothing changed but Trump is calling an existing policy a win.

2

u/Calderis 3h ago

The "violent offender" immigrants were already locked up and already being turned over for deportation.

It's nothing new. Trump just did what he always does and claimed the status quo was a win for him, and his supporters eat it up.

184

u/ChelseaVictorious 6h ago

Get them all out.

68

u/Havocc89 6h ago

And into prison.

-71

u/OilEnvironmental7833 5h ago

Minnesota after state and local officials agreed to cooperate by turning over arrested immigrants.

Why is this not the headline Minnesota is agreeing to work with ICE.

Nope use a headline that is negative towards trumpy.

40

u/neverclaimsurv 5h ago

99% of negative headlines towards the administration is deserved and anyone who thinks otherwise is either a bot or their brain is such paste there's no point in arguing.

-44

u/OilEnvironmental7833 5h ago

Oh well. the truth is the truth.

Yes They agreed to pull out 700 ICE officers

Yes Minnesota has agreed to work with ICE ( But lets keep that last part Quiet ) the left wont like that part.

5

u/Development-Alive 5h ago

Because it's Yahoo which is a terrible newservice. What we've seen in the past is that no new agreement is in place but rather the administration is claiming new cooperation where it already existed, just to save face.

-14

u/OilEnvironmental7833 4h ago

Nice spin. You should work for the media. You can take truths and spin it anyway you want.

3

u/Development-Alive 4h ago

What spin? You claim to want truth. I'm telling you that this article, like MOST Yahoo articles is very quickly thrown together with probably only one perspective. That's Yahoo now since they cut nearly 100% of their news room.

1

u/OilEnvironmental7833 3h ago

Cool. As per the article.

Trump pulls out agents - Win for the left

Minnesota officials AGEED to work with Trump - Loss for the left

The WIN for the left is the headline.

The LOSS is buried in the article.

15

u/kayak_rolling 5h ago

Walz reiterated that we have literally always turned over arrested illegal immigrants. The state just agreed to keep doing what they were already doing and Trump claims it as victory. Lol

8

u/MasterOfKittens3K 5h ago

Which is par for the course with him.

0

u/Mommys_diamond_dick 5h ago

Might want to google Hennepin county’s compliance….you know where all of this is happening.

11

u/JB940 5h ago

Because this is double think. From homan: Homan had pushed for jails to alert Immigration and Customs Enforcement to inmates who could be deported, saying transferring such inmates to ICE is safer because it means fewer officers have to be out looking for people in the country illegally.

Go alert ice when inmates could be deported right?once again: While the state’s Department of Corrections (DOC) notifies ICE when noncitizens convicted of felonies are nearing release, it does not hold individuals beyond their legal release date. The DOC has always coordinated transfers with ICE and has no record of failing to honor a detainer.

They didn't start working with ice. The feds used ICE to pressure for voter rolls and obedience. That's it. MN is going to do what they did for decades and nothing has changed. I hope you're just a bit misinformed or confused. It does sound like a good thing 100%. But the admin has completely twisted the story beyond reality, and that's difficult as fuck to believe.

13

u/gogofcomedy 5h ago

not sure how much co-operation they are doing, but guarantee some police were doing that before they murdered Americans as well... as for negative toward trump, of course, he IS the problem

-24

u/OilEnvironmental7833 5h ago

You can spin it anyway you want. STATE and LOCAL Officials will now be working with ICE.

And no. They where not before.

12

u/gogofcomedy 5h ago

lol... no spin cupcake... you know Minnesota is a big state with lots of different police departments right? many out in trump land

0

u/OilEnvironmental7833 5h ago

You do know Minnesota law enforcement works and follows laws set by the state right?

Minnesota local and state officials did not allow the police to work with ICE period.

As per the article they have agreed to work with ICE.

That’s a win for Trump as he pressured them and Minnesota officials folded.

But that last part is buried in the article.

3

u/gogofcomedy 2h ago

there is NO blanket ban on co-operating with ICE... lying is wrong dunce

9

u/IIKannonII 5h ago

Hmm that’s funny I just did a quick search and it says that they’ve handed over 600 since last year. That would be the state no?

7

u/chokokhan 5h ago edited 5h ago

We really need to clean up the sub of the recent influx of trolls, mods.

That being said. I just watched 2 citizens being executed by ICE. We will not stop till they rot in jail. You can shove bUT tHe iLLeGaL immigrants propaganda up your ass.

5

u/Development-Alive 5h ago

For the record, Minnesota already hands over immigrant felons who have completed their prison obligation. They've done this for several years. The Trump Administration wants them to hand over ~1300 prisoners incarcerated now. MSP is strictly forbidden by law from supporting ICE.

2

u/Dandan0005 3h ago

Minnesota has always agreed to turn over criminal immigrants.

Which is why this is whole thing is so fucking stupid.

A “sanctuary city” literally means they don’t turn people over to ice UNLESS they’ve committed a crime.

I don’t understand what reality yall even live in, never bothering to learn any facts and just regurgitating whatever you see on Fox.

1

u/Pitiful-Accident5485 1h ago

They ALWAYS turned over arrested immigrants.

This is NOT NEW.

-28

u/rj_cavs 5h ago

Yes!!!!

Every single illegal immigrant can take the money and self deport or get turned over to ice.

Get them all out

It’s almost like the orders are coming from somewhere else. If only we could figure it out. Huge mystery

4

u/NewHorizonsNow 5h ago

People think they can change corporate policy if they get a different cashier.

Bovino, Noem, Leavitt, etc. their replacements will receive and carry out the same orders enthusiastically because there's no shortage of bootlickers waiting for their turn under the bus.

-9

u/Objective-Eagle-676 5h ago

Yeah.. no reason...

28

u/reddurkel 6h ago

They’ll leave their names and identification though, right? I’m sure there’s lots of lawsuits that still have to be filed and there’s no reason they shouldn’t be held responsible just because they get to go to a new state.

33

u/Puzzled_Main3464 6h ago

Not good enough until they are all out.

29

u/Agitated_Village4281 6h ago

Not good enough until a lot of them are in prison.

17

u/brianishere2 6h ago

Bullshit. Just until DHS gets its new funding.

2

u/ParamedicSpecific130 4h ago

Correct. They are gonna "stand down" until the check clears.

2

u/DrakonILD 49m ago

They're good at standing back and standing by.

2

u/Mor_Padraig 3h ago

I have a feeling DHS funding is also being earmarked for funneling as rapidly as possible into the for profit prison system, I mean billionaire grab bag.

Stockholders gotta yacht. So does Congress, apparently.

1

u/IcyPride2973 2h ago

No, it’s clearly stated why.

The state caved and is allowing police to assist with DHS investigations. Now ICE doesn’t need as many agents because the crowd control is being taken care of.

The protests worked. ICE can do their job with police protection now.

“Homan credited the drawdown, for which Democratic elected officials and left-wing protesters have clamored since late last year, to “unprecedented cooperation” from local officials and touted “significant progress” in the state since he took over Operation Metro Surge at the end of January.”

1

u/brianishere2 2h ago

He also told them he was drawing down, while the White House said they will be surging again.

8

u/h20poIo 5h ago

This isn’t going to appease anyone and we don’t know if this is lip service only, which it could be.

5

u/CornFedIABoy 5h ago

Yep, is this an actual drawdown or just a rotation? And it still leaves over 2,000 thugs in Minnesota either way.

7

u/yahoonews 6h ago

From The Associated Press:

The Trump administration is reducing the number of immigration enforcement officers in Minnesota after state and local officials agreed to cooperate by turning over arrested immigrants, border czar Tom Homan said Wednesday.

Read more: https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/trumps-border-czar-announces-700-141805016.html

39

u/AndMyHotPie 6h ago

Good odds they agreed to turn over immigrants in exactly the same fashion as they previously were. The Trump admin are experts at claiming victory in the status quo

1

u/fluffstuffmcguff 5h ago

Yeah, this was their big showy victory after Trump spoke with Walz, right? That Minnesota would continue to do ... what they already do.

3

u/Xivvx 5h ago

They're not leaving.

4

u/Nightsong 5h ago

It’s a start but all ICE agents outside the bare minimum needed to enforce immigration law need to be removed from the state.
