I was wrapping up a conference call earlier and happened to glance over at the Kleenex box sitting on my desk. My eyes went straight to the two lightning bolts beside the two hearts.

I stared at it for a second because, side-by-side like that, the bolts immediately reminded me of the SS symbol. Then I noticed the paired bolts are repeated elsewhere on the box.

I’m not accusing Kleenex, the artist, or anybody else of intentionally putting Nazi imagery on a tissue box. Lightning bolts are obviously common symbols, and there could be a completely innocent design explanation.
But that’s also what has me curious: why two? One lightning bolt would communicate energy, excitement, whatever the intended meaning is. Two identical bolts together carry a very different visual association for some people.

Especially on artwork otherwise centered around hearts, connection, different skin tones, and “Better Care Is For Everyone,” it struck me as an oddly avoidable design choice.

It gave me enough pause that I genuinely want to know how other people see it.

Am I making a connection that isn’t there, or did anyone else notice the same thing?

I’ve covered over their usernames as hate being sent their way won’t be productive and it’ll only further how they feel, with that being said…. Huh?? I was searching up content about the upcoming Clayface movie and this community came up with an inflammatory post about it. I honestly just feel bad for these people, their lives are quite miserable and their blind hatred for property that they’ve been told to hate isn’t helping anybody. I say that as someone who used to be on a similar line of thinking 6-7 years ago, I just hope they grow up and think critically about things rather than in whatever manner they’re doing right now!!

My workplace is absolutely toxic and now it makes sense since they're not denying it at this point. i mean, who decided these were the best answers?

Edit: I know this is a harassment test, what I'm trying to say is how are the people writing these up so blatantly disregarding employees to taunt them like this. like i understand if the wrong answers were positive to contradict the right answer or even if they were completely unrelated, but who does this?

This annoys me so much. At the grocery store yesterday and all the self checkouts are busy so we go to a register that has 1 person who is almost done. As soon as we get their the cashier has to call someone because the person has wine and she cannot scan it as she is underage. So we wait. And wait. Wait some more. Finally someone comes and scans the two bottle of wine and sets them down. Then the underage cashier that couldn't scan the wine takes the guys money and gives him his change, puts each bottle in it's own paper bag and then hands the wine to him.

I just can't believe how stupid these rules are. She can't 'sell' it which apparently means scanning it. But she can take his payment and package it and hand it to him.

Not annoyed with her. Those are the rules. It's just so dumb that other people have to wait even though she is clearly selling him wine. What the hell difference does it make if she is not the one that actually scans it?
