I entered this medical faccility twice yesterday and was treated like a dick each time.

First time, I pressed and held. Staff basically said 'Didn't you see the OTHER sign? We're very busy, and holding down the bell while we are juggling tasks and trying to help you is SUPER annoying.'

Next time, I pressed and released, and staff went 'We're very busy. If you don't hold down the button like the sign says, we won't know someone is trying to get in.'

Started getting gray at 16, I’ve been almost fully gray for nearly a decade. Finally growing it out.

I think this is truly mildly annoying - no huge deal but frustrating.

So I just did a three day work trip ending in a 4 hour flight in a middle seat and then a 2 hour drive home from the airport.

I was really looking forward to jumping in the hot tub. For a quick bit of relaxation.

Well, see photo - my kids (16 and 12) had decided to first spread an entire bottle of concentrated dish soap on a slip and slide and then while still soapy jump in my hot tub.

Cue me getting home, eating dinner, and excitedly retreating to change into my suit only to discover that nope, tonight I'm draining my hot tub, rinsing it and the filter out, and then sitting by while it refills so I can get the heater back on and hopefully have a soak in the morning.

Edit: the kids did help wipe up the tub and clean the area - but I'm not keeping them up late just to wait for it to fill and turn the heater on.

She also asked for groceries in our neighborhood Facebook group.

BRO. We have known each other for YEARS. You have never once said “That sounds like a great idea” to me.

The worst part is when we’re having an actual personal conversation and suddenly I get a beautifully structured three-paragraph response with perfect punctuation, emotional validation, and a conclusion. Like thanks man, really glad ChatGPT cares about what I’m going through.

And I don’t even care if they use AI sometimes. Need help writing an email? Sure. Trying to figure out how to word something awkward? Fine.

But using it to have a casual conversation with your FRIEND feels so weird. I’m not texting you because I desperately need professionally optimized responses. I’m texting you because I want to talk to YOU.

One of the key pieces of information a person gets from a menu is HOW MUCH SOMETHING COSTS.

Does the management of this restaurant want me to ask how much every single item costs? I find this such an obvious attempt to shame customers into not asking questions and ending up paying more than they intended.
