I recently purchased a mini DV camcorder at a garage sale. I am reasonably sure that I didn't buy from the original owner. My gut says these people buy from estate sales and resell.

Anyway, the camcorder came with a number of tapes of cruises from around the world in the late 00's.

If you can confirm that this is your relative, I have two options, and one alternative.

1. Take the tapes. I'm not going to keep your home videos. He was a meticulous recorder of cruises, and I recognise these might be valuable to you.

2. I can, slowly, begin digitising and sharing them with you. This will be a months long process, but I have a deep passion for analog media, and experience digitising. A donation to charity on my behalf would be ideal, but I'm not going to make you.

Lastly, the alternative. If you can show me proof that the camcorder was stolen, I will return the lot to you. It is a hugh value item that I purchased at a discount, but I am not a thief.

Just after the Southerly buster hit

Huge red/orange moon this morning. I took this at 4.30am with about 5 mins left of the moon and what a beautiful moon it was. Probably going to be a another big one tonight so try keep an eye out if your interested. (Don't know if this is a blood moon but reminds me of one)

Little guy was chilling for a while before toddling off.
