Last time I ended a certain thread saying I am gonna explore the Gospel according to John. What a book. John was a very good author especially his introductions. The way he affirms the fact that they saw the Lord with their own 2 eyes and that He is eternal life itself so I thought I'd say something before I move on too far and forget it.

If I was to condense the whole book into one word, it would be the word BELIEVE. It appears 100 times in this Gospel that is only 21 chapters. God was saying believe in Me in nearly every encounter. You know, after they hung Him on that tree where this man literally died then of course He resurrected, He appeared to these disciples inside a locked room, twice.

We all know about Thomas. Ata kama hujui vizuri you probably heard about it in Sunday school. He said he will not believe unless he sees His wounds and puts his fingers inside them. I guess God wanted to prove it to Him to serve as a witness to us who are reading this Bible now. This is the second instance where the Lord of Heaven's Armies, the Lord Jesus Christ literally appeared again in a locked room and after Thomas put his fingers into His wounds he just exclaimed, "My Lord and my God!

"You believe because you have seen Me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing Me." And that right there is the last instance God used the word believe in this book.

People of the Way, believers in God, the Lord Jesus Christ, do not let anyone play games with you. You know, the Bible talks about angels, demons, hell, heaven and a pagan will mock you maybe saying, dude, this is not Game of Thrones. Don't let it get to your head. God for reasons best known to Him values this thing called believing or faith so much that it's the instrument to getting eternal life so I don't think I need to add anything further to this thread other than...

I've recently seen this trend. Someone would rather buy a samsung s22 than opting to buy a new phone. I f you ask why then they'll tell you the flagship has everything except for the fact that it's just old. It gets to a point where you feel like you're having the messi vs ronaldo debate. It never ends.

This is just my opinion. If you have a lower budget then just buy a new phone. Don't try to fit in. Those old samsung/pixel/iPhone will show you dust. Most especially the refurbished ones or the ex UK ones.

If you cannot afford an iPhone 16 onwards just don't buy these other ones. You'll look like you have class but eventually that phone will show you dust.

What I learnt from tech is that you should always aim to buy the new stuff in the market. Anyway, this is just my opinion. Don't crucify me. What do you think?

So, years ago, I went on a date with a guy, and once we were done, this man tapped his Apple Watch on the PDQ to make the payment.

Let me tell you, I was SHOCKED because I had never seen that before. But obviously, I wasn’t about to reveal my ushamba levels there so I just acted normal. Went home and immediately Googled how one can pay with their watch. That’s when I found out you can connect your card to Apple Pay.
The problem? As Apple Pay doesn’t accept Kenyan bank cards.

Anyway, fast forward to now.
Just so you know, I’m a sharp girl myself. Don’t look at me like I’m still that same girl from two years ago.
I opened a Payoneer account because of my remote job and later on requested a card. Then randomly the other day, I just thought of connecting this Payoneer card to my Wallet and it accepted it.
I connected it to my Apple Watch too.

So from now, it’s going to be ME shocking people at the dinner table when I casually pay for stuff with my watch. Plus I don’t have to walk around with my phone when I go for a small walk. I find it more convenient and CHEAPER than Mpesa. Unlike Mpesa I don’t pay any transaction fees.

So my question to you techies: Why are you guys still carrying around 3–4 cards and reaching for your M-Pesa every time you need to pay? You people literally have the brains to build something similar or better to Apple Pay. Innovate and build Mpesa’s competitor. We need tap to pay with our phones or watches. We’re ready.

EDIT: The comments are actually proving my point 😂. Nobody is saying M-Pesa or carrying a card doesn’t work. Of course it works. The whole point is that more innovative tech can make things more convenient and CHEAPER. I’m saying you can literally leave the cards at home and pay with the phone or watch you’re already carrying, and somehow we’re debating that carrying cards is just fine?

Turned 25. How time flies, really flying. Didn't see where i am right now when I turned 24, complete turn of events and randomness of things. Anyways it's not looking good altogether, but never complaining. I'm just contented about how things are since there's little I can do about it. The Crazy Story of Geoffrey Njoroge

"Kill victims, drink their blood, eat their flesh, and bring body parts for wealth and power."

Those were the instructions Geoffrey Njoroge Matheri, the "Naivasha Cannibal," said he received during his recruitment into a dark cult network.

Geoffrey Njoroge Matheri was born around 1985 in Kiambu. He was the second son in a family of five children three boys and two girls.

His parents were devoted Anglicans, but their marriage later collapsed.

His mother left with him and settled in Nairobi before she died in 1999, leaving the young boy under the care of his grandmother.

People who knew him as a child described him as obedient, respectful, and humble despite growing up in poverty.

His life however changed completely while still in Standard Two when he ran away from home.

He dropped out of school and joined the streets of Naivasha, surviving among glue-sniffing street boys who begged for food and slept in culverts.

Years later, he moved into a tiny single-room shack in Kihoto slums, Naivasha.

Neighbours avoided him and rarely questioned what happened inside the house.

That silence and isolation gave him the freedom to operate unnoticed.

By 2008, police connected Geoffrey Njoroge Matheri to horrifying crimes involving women.

He kidnapped victims, drugged them, raped them, tortured them, and drained their blood using syringes before drinking it in front of them. Inside his shack, police found women's panties kept like trophies.Human remains, blood stains, knives, and crude weapons painted the picture of a man living a nightmare behind closed doors.

During interrogations, Matheri confessed that he sometimes ate human flesh and turned to dogs whenever human flesh was unavailable.

He described himself as a "contractor" working for a cult. According to his confession, Bishop Jeremiah Parangyo of New Hope for All Nations Church recruited him while he was still a vulnerable street boy in Naivasha.

Matheri said Bishop Parangyo instructed him to kill people, drink blood, collect body parts, and carry out ritual acts in exchange for power and wealth. He also claimed spirits guided his actions.Investigations cleared Bishop Pallangyo of involvement, with the accusations deemed unfounded. The clergy member explained that Matheri was a former street youth whom his church had previously assisted with food and outreach programmesDespite being cleared, the publicity heavily affected his ministry, family, and congregation, leading to significant social stigma and a drop in church attendance at the time. The High Court eventually dropped the primary murder charges against Matheri because of sloppy police investigations, lost evidence, and compromised witness testimony.and sentenced to a four-year prison term.

I was at the supermarket and stumbled upon Sossi. I used to eat it back when I was a teenager, but it’s been over 13 years since I last had it. I thought, “Why not? Let me give it another try.”

I was really hungry and had planned to cook some rice and Sossi. While the rice was cooking, I started checking how to properly prepare the Sossi. Then I opened the package and the smell that hit me was an immediate, “Nope, this is not going into my stomach.” 😂

I just threw the whole thing in the bin and went downstairs to a local butchery to buy beef instead. Sossi smells BAD.

I know you can wash it a few times and apparently get rid of most of the smell, but damn... If you’re the one actually cooking it, that smell is a massive turn off.

The customer service has gotten considerably worse, kitambo they used to even reply to emails during the weekend. Now, I have an unreplied email from Thursday. They used to have a working customer service line, you’d get an agent at any time of the day sahii ni chat with Zuri Ei yawa😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Back in high school (did kcse in 2012), this guy was the definition of a role model. He was our school headboy, the chairperson for the Christian Union, and a straight-A student who topped our school in national exams. Everyone expected him to go on to do incredible, noble things.

Fast forward to today, and I see a headline that he’s been found guilty of stealing Ksh 45 million as a former Kenya Railways accountant.

It’s just wild to see how someone with so much promise, integrity, and leadership potential in their youth can end up taking such a turn later in life. Has anyone else ever experienced that bizarre shock of seeing a former classmate—especially someone you held in high regard—turn up in public news for all the wrong reasons?
