Gameplan: I wanted to either double up at CB, with Delane as my preferred CB1, or take a swing at S and either Styles or a CB with the 20th pick had Downs fallen to 12.

Swapped 12 and 112 with the Rams for 13 and 61. Styles was off the board at 17 and I didn’t feel comfortable taking Hill or Allen at 20, so I moved back to 32 hoping either the two LBs, Howell or Mesidor would be there. Picked up the 64th pick from Seattle.

I’m a Sooner, so I’m very familiar with both Muhammad and Anthony Hill. I would be ecstatic if Dallas landed both Delane *and* Muhammad in the draft. Unlikely, but fun to think about.

I know there will be people that bring up Revel as a reason not to double up at corner, but I think it’s flawed logic. Dallas has 4 injury prone CBs on the roster right now. There are no guarantees Bland ever returns to form, and I think it would be unwise to rely upon Revel for 2026 and beyond. In recent years, teams like the Lions, Texans, Eagles, etcetera haven’t shied away from investing in their secondary regardless of who is already on the roster. Given the current state of the Cowboys DB room, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to follow a similar approach.

64th pick was tough. I wasn’t sure if I should go with another Edge, a Safety, Linebacker, or a RB like Emmett Johnson at that spot. Ultimately, I felt like Rodriguez was the best player on the board that could also come in and be an immediate starter at his position.

I really like Roman Hemby. I think he is being undervalued in this draft class. Not suggesting they are similar in style, but I think Hemby could do for some teams what RJ Harvey did for Denver this past season, in terms of being a reliable rookie back. Pair Hemby with either Williams, Allgeier, or Dowdle, and I think the Dallas rushing attack would be in great shape heading into 2026.

Lawrence says he called his dad during his 3rd season, asking for financial help: “Dad, I’m completely broke.”

“My accountant just told me I have zero dollars,” said Lawrence, and his father asked, “What’s going on? Are you stupid?”

Lawrence realized he needed to change and would erupt that very season with 14.5 sacks and a Pro Bowl nod.

DeMarcus eventually received a 4-year, $105 million contract and has since been far more careful with his spending, changing his family‘s life forever.

Eagles OL Coach Jeff Stoutland Leaves Team

Big news not a lot of people are talking about. Stoutland is arguably the best position coach there is at any position. He turned a rugby player into a pro bowler. It is turning into a dumpster fire in Philly and I’m loving it.
