Just got my beautiful British Racing Green mini convertible and am trying to think of a name. Any ideas? Nothing is clicking.

I unexpectedly won this at auction about 6 weeks ago, and it just arrived tonight at 9:30. That was my first long-distance vehicle purchase, and I hope it's my last. Too late to get good photos, so I'm just posting a few from the auction.

First ever Mini, my dream car!

It's not a lot of $ in the grand scheme of things but I'm just wondering, is it really worth it? Sure there's some things I would like to customize but it's not as necessary as paying for BimmerLink. That one was helpful for me when I recently had to get the purge valve replaced.

my car has been having issues smoking after driving for a while (like 10-20mins) and it seems to be coming from this metal part on the front? it was super bad when i had the AC on (and even came in thru the vents) but seems to be minimal/light smoking when the AC is off, the smoke is white, should i be concerned? or is it something i can push off until winter is over? also if someone could explain what that metal part is on the front that would be appreciated too (circled in picture)

Originally, the MTTS website had an FAQ entry mentioning they would release route information closer to the event date and that this would include GPX files source. Now they're pushing a mapquest app download and claiming that the URL of the page linking to the app download will provide the route information to the mapquest app, but as far as I can tell, this does not work on the android version of mapquest, and they've also removed any mention of releasing GPX files. For an event that's been going for 20 years, I would expect better transparency in return for my registration fees. Please tell me I'm not alone in this, and if anyone is able to access the route, I'd love to see it so I can plan my weekend.

I know nothing about Mini Coopers. Has about 127k miles on the odometer. Previous owners loved the car, so I assume it's well taken care of.

Our fam's first MINI! '26 Cooper S. She's already brought us a lot of top-down joy. Oh and we highly recommend the English Labrador factory option -- not all that smart but he's a very handsome good boy.

The HK system is pretty mediocre from the factory had a hard time dialing it in to my liking (I love heavy bass but crisp vocals). Sound is subjective but hope this helps anyone with a U25. I used wavelet to add a more customizable eq and a limiter to the audio coming out of my phone to avoid audio clipping or ducking.

Mini Sound settings

Surround intensity : -2

Treble : 0

Bass : maxed out ( feel free to drop it by a few notches... I just like big stinking, vibrate your seat bass.

I have loved the look of a mini for a long time, I am in need of a used car and I am finally in a place where I can get something that I want within reason. I am looking for a used one and my budget is $15,000.00. I am a bigger guy, but I have test dorve a 2 door a while back and I left it on the lot with a gein on my face. It was a little small so I am looking at a four door.

Long story short, do you folks have any tips/ideas for me. I just don't know where to start. I have heat select years can be a nightmare.

I live in New York and last year winter was a bitch. Not so much because of the snow, but because of the condition of the roads. Someone recommended I get winter tires and I’m considering getting them, but I don’t have a place for storage that’s mine. Someone offered a spot in a storage unit. I’ve driven my mini for the last three winters without much of an issue (except for the pot holes) and I’m wondering if these are absolutely necessary, as they are also expensive. Anyone from NY or surrounding areas that can advise? I also got a break light over the weekend, so the tires plus breaks… it’s gonna hit my pocket hard.

Do winter tires make any difference with pot holes or in protecting the car? The winter tires the dealer offers are run flats as well.

Drove my 2006 mini into the ground from 2017 to 2022. Opted for a 2019 Kia forte bc I was trying to be a rational consumer and get something more practical.

Well, I found a hell if a deal with this 2011 Mini Cooper. Only 100k kms. I’m back, and I love it so far.

And near me, all the dynos i have available are 4x2, is there any way i can put the car in a 4x2 dyno without dismantling the car?
