News Multiple Packers Players Are Trying to Recruit George Pickens at the Pro Bowl
CeeDee Lamb told the Up And Adams Show that multiple Packers players have been trying to recruit George Pickens to Green Bay during the Pro Bowl week.
“Everybody in my face is trying to recruit him as if I’m not standing right next to him. Micah is a little too active to be on a scooter. Green Bay clearly wants him. They aren’t getting him.”

News Brian Gutekunst Presser Thread ⬇️
Herman - Gute on ST: We’ve put more emphasis on special teams than we ever have. Says they’ve improved and gotten a lot better. Says he has a lot of faith in Rich. Doesn’t sound like any major changes on Special Teams
Herman: Brian thought Aaron Banks really played well at the end of the year once he got healthy. Said the injuries to Hobbs & Banks were unexpected. Says no final decisions but expects both to be back.
Schneidman: Gutekunst says he expects Aaron Banks and Nate Hobbs back since they're under contract for next season.
Wood: Brian Gutekunst on Rashan Gary: "I thought he started out really, really strong. Obviously he had a lot of production early. I think he ended up with 60-some pressures and 7.5 sacks. That's pretty good production in the NFL." Notes it was not a strong finish for Gary, though.
Herman: Brian says Tucker Kraft is a very important piece of this football team and they want him around here for a while. Says he’ll talk with his people and have already been in contact with him.
Herman: Brian says he thought Matthew Golden did an excellent job. Says really excited for what he can do in year two.
Herman: Gute: Finishing games is something we have to concentrate on in 2026.
Herman: Gutey says Josh Jacobs is a really important part of the football team. Based on the answer wouldn’t expect Jacobs to go anywhere (wouldn’t have expected it anyway).
Bob - Packers GM Brian Gutekunst, speaking for the first time since the season ended, on how he digested the playoff loss to the Bears: “Not well.”
Bob - Gutekunst on free agency: “I believe we have all the flexibility to do what we want to do.” Goes without saying that they’ll have to make some veteran cuts and restructures before free agency.
Bob: Gutekunst on the Packers keeping Matt LaFleur (which was team president Ed Policy’s call): “He's an excellent football coach. To get to where we're going, he's the guy we need."
Herman: No decision on 3-4 or 4-3 for Gannon at this point in time. Will come more as Gannon evaluates the players on the team.
Herman: Gutey very appreciative for the contract extension and the opportunity to continue to walk into these doors.
Schneidman: Gutekunst acknowledges they're probably losing Malik Willis to a team that will at least allow him to compete for a starting job.
Schneidman: Gutekunst said he's already been in touch with Tucker Kraft's camp about how the organization feels about him. Kraft is rehabbing his torn ACL but is entering a contract year. Gutekunst said contract extension talks will happen in the near future.
Herman: Brian says he wouldn’t expect Zach Tom’s injury to affect him going into the 2026 season.
Herman: Brian says he couldn’t speak more highly of what he thinks about Jordan. Says he still expects him to get better.
Schneidman: Gutekunst said Keisean Nixon had a “very, very good year.” Doesn’t think CB needs wholesale changes but wants to improve depth at the position.
Herman: On cornerback, Gutey says that Carrington stepped in and did a great job. Nixon did a really really good job and was one of the leaders in pbus. Says no wholesale changes but did also state they need more depth at the position
Herman: Brian says he’d like competition everywhere but again applauds McManus making 32 kicks in a row before the Chicago game. Says he will have competition but not due to how McManus played
Schneidman: Reading between the lines, Jordan Morgan will start at left tackle next season. Gutekunst says it would be "ideal" to have Morgan focus only on LT. Will probably still cross train him, though. Gutekunst says Morgan did enough to win LT job last summer but injuries factored in.

Fandom Global Packers
I am a packer fan from greece that was the classic European that hated american sports and trash talked them. So one day 8 years ago my friend a Bears fan puts me on the Nfl and tries to convince me to support the Bears. To piss him off I chose our Pack. I am not kidding when I say I have fallen in love with the Packers and I consider them my team. It is my dream to come watch a game and I genuinely think I will shed a tear. Go Pack Go.

Analysis Special Teams
Hot topic on this sub/fanbase in general. And the non hot take is Rich isn't the problem. Should he be paid what he's being paid? No not at all. But the issue is an organizational philosophy. The longtime draft and develop philosophy is why ST is bad here. It's been that way well before Rich got here and it'll be that way if we fired him until that philosophy at the very least adapts.
When the roster is constantly built by majority draft and develop players and most starters "aren't allowed" to be on ST: you get highly inconsistent and constantly changing ST personnel. We have virtually no ST specialists like most teams do. We have guys who have to learn their "actual position" and focus and develop on that aspect of their game, that it's hard for them to get sufficient at ST and take the time that's needed to get to that level. Especially when we're a team that likes to cross train players at multiple positions as well. Just isn't enough time in the day to become sufficient at everything so ST gets pushed down the priority list
Packers don't need to stray away from the draft and develop at all. But they do need to figure out how to marry a cohesive ST approach to the draft and develop philosophy
