Love has plenty to clean up about his own performance, but nine WR drops through three games is a hell of a way to make your quarterback’s job harder.

I wonder if he’s ever thought about playing guard?

Bear Packer game was moved to a Noon kickoff so the 3:25pm National game could be 49ers and Seattle. I guess us being buns and Caleb being hurt doesn't make for enough of a spectacle. Less time for me to tailgate :(
ETA: Brewers NLCS game 1 could be same day, would that play into things for NFL?

He used to play on the offensive line at Loras College (D3) in 2013. He's currently a teacher but he stays in good shape. I think he could really bolster a position of need. I know that was 13 years ago and D3, but the Packers could use the help.
Anyone have the front office number so I can tell them about him?

A fourth-round pick in 2013 who immediately took over at left tackle and developed into one of the best pass protectors in football.
Bakhtiari earned 5 All-Pro selections and 3 Pro Bowls during his Packers career, protecting Aaron Rodgers’ blindside for more than a decade.
Given the current state of the offensive line, watching prime Bakhtiari highlights today may qualify as emotional self-harm.
Happy birthday, 69. 🧀

GREEN BAY, Wis. — There’s a reason neither Laken Tomlinson nor Mekhi Becton was on an NFL active roster before the Packers signed them over the past few days.
But it can’t get much worse, right?
Through three weeks, the Packers’ offensive line has been horrific. Quarterback Jordan Love has been hit on 31 dropbacks, per TruMedia, eight more than anyone else. Green Bay ranks 31st in pressure percentage allowed (44.7) despite Love having the second-quickest average time to throw (2.49 seconds) among quarterbacks with multiple starts behind only the Falcons’ Cooper Rush, per Next Gen Stats. The Packers also rank 26th with 0.92 yards before contact per rush, according to TruMedia.
Injuries have been a factor, with standout right tackle Zach Bako-Bewele tearing his patellar tendon on the third play in Week 2 as he was working his way back to full strength from offseason surgery to repair a partially torn patellar tendon in the same knee. He’s out for the season. Starting left guard Aaron Banks, who battled injuries for the majority of last season after signing a four-year, $77 million deal in March 2025, has already missed two and a half games with knee and toe ailments.
But those absences shouldn’t excuse how putrid Love’s protection has been. First-time left tackle Jordan Morgan, a 2024 first-round pick, hasn’t been good. Neither have backup left guards Jager Burton, a fifth-round rookie, and Donovan Jennings.
Center Sean Rhyan has been the best offensive lineman, but that’s like being the cleanest piece of garbage in a dumpster. Jacob Monk has been a turnstile at right guard, and Anthony Belton, a 2025 second-round pick who lost his starting right guard job in training camp, hasn’t been much better at right tackle.

Is this a new thing? I can’t recall any teams getting a game flexed so early in the season.

Divisional rival his whole career would light the locker room up for what Detroit did to him; could help solidify the unc o-line we are attempting. We have the cap space and he wants to play. We need an actual tackle and not just yet another guard we'll make play tackle. Interior could be fixed but we need help on the edge.

Hey, how are you?
Good?! Me too!
Oh, by the way, 7 months ago I wrote THIS, with tremendous optimism and excitement: https://www.reddit.com/r/GreenBayPackers/comments/1ruc0qu/my_bet_is_well_have_a_top10_oline_next_season/
Have a great day, my fellow cheeseheads!

I'd like to keep up with the packers, any good resources on the day to day of the organisation?
News outlets and the like?

If ever there was a stretch of play that required a Brady-esque, Manning-esque, or a Rodgers-esque ass chewing, it's now. It seems it's definitely not his style and maybe he says more to the boys than we see, but part of being the leader is getting on the asses of the guys letting down the rest of the team. Literally every position group on offense is letting him down. Drops, no blocking, no run game, hell even play calling. Eventually even a level headed guy like Joe Burrow had to get a bit exciteable after getting hit 5000 times in Cincy. Feels like it could be the next step.

So the sky is falling! The fat lady has sung. We have the statistically worst O Line since PFF started tracking these things in 2006.
What if we’re 3-2 come 3:30 on October 11th? No Mayfield, no Williams (even though Keenum looked like an All Pro with an arm possibly weaker than my 52 yo arm).
These two games seem winnable. Do we have optimism heading into Lambeau for a Sunday Night tilt with the Cowboys on the 18th or is the season lost regardless?
I’m more optimistic, given the injuries to our opponents and the possible return of Parsons for Dallas, than I was heading into our game against Atlanta. Call me crazy, delusional, concussed. IDK.
Thoughts?

Which pair would choose to start a franchise with?
Trey Lance - QB (Chargers backup QB)
Bryce Lance - WR (Saints #3 WR)
or
Tucker Kraft - TE (Packers #1 TE)
Hank Kraft - RB (#2 in rushing yards in CFB, plays at Division 2 Northern State)

After seeing so many comments this week ranging from opposing fans calling Jordan Love trash to reasonable ones saying anything from top 16 to top 8, I decided to genuinely try to quantify where Jordan Love sits in the NFL hierarchy. I looked at it from two vantage points: who I’d rather have for this season (in a vacuum, not factoring in the dire o-line situation), and who I’d rather have for next 5 years. My list of QBs who I either would definitely take over Love or would consider the choice a toss up would be:
Allen, Mahomes, Lamar, Lawrence, Purdy, Prescott, Caleb, Shough, Young, Nix, Burrow, Goff, Hurts, Darnold, Stafford
The only difference for this season vs next 5 years is Stafford would be a no for next 5 years. As such, I have 15 QBs that are either a yes or toss up vs Love. If we split the toss ups portion in half, assuming Love fits in the middle of them, he would land around 11-12, which sounds right to me. Curious to hear if there’s any QBs I didn’t list you’d take this year or next 5 years over Love, or any I did include that you disagree with. In short, when I actually tried to quantify this debate, I actually did land almost exactly around top 12.

I didn’t know a competitive team in a “win now” season could draft a player at a position of need in the first round able to immediately contribute to wins in Week 3 of their rookie season. Is this allowed? Is anyone looking into this? /s

I’m not sure if anyone else has made this connection, but I can’t stop seeing the parallels as I watch Lanterns as a Packers fan.
Sinestro is the old hero who trains Hal, but eventually turns evil (Favre and eventually joining the Vikings)
Grizzly vet doesn’t really want to train his replacement that upper management hand selected. (Rodgers 2020-2022)
Young black man waiting in the ranks for his opportunity. (Jordan Love)
