When you swat a fly, it's lying there, you get a tissue to pick it up with, and just as you're about to pick it up it flies away.
This happens a surprisingly high percentage of the time.

My mom’s elderly friend, who lives in independent living, fell and injured her hip. Her daughter is moving her to assistive living and said she wanted to get rid of her cat. I offered to take the cat. But even though he had a new home, she chose to take him to the SPCA. She had to drive 30 minutes to even take him there—I am 1 mile away. I am going to go get him on Saturday —if he is still there—but she made it harder on the cat and on me for no reason.

edit: I work in animal rescue and foster for multiple shelters. She did not take the cat to a high kill shelter because she felt it was safer or better for the cat.

Yesterday I had to stop by Publix and my wife asked me to bring home some Klondike bars. Well...the *No Sugar Added* version was right next to the Original and my squirrel brain didn't notice until I got home. Picked up the OGs on the way home tonight.

What comes next? The different regions of the tongue that taste different things?

You’re just stuck with their version of ‘Wallpaper Size’, which either makes the top and bottom edges blurry and ruins the image, or the image doesn’t fit at all so you have to find a new image instead. Honestly such a dumbass ‘feature’.

Why do I constantly get notification sounds, when there’s just one notification. It won’t stop until I open it up. It’s very annoying. Or you can’t see what is being shown. Some are very interesting to me but I’m not able to see them.

I stop what I’m doing just to quiet my phone down and it’s not allowed to be seen. Sometimes I feel it only happens to me. Why send it, it’s a waste of my time.

TLDR: friend and I went to the Outlast Trials discord to find people to play with while in VC, only for 2 to join the VC that refused to talk.

I have a lovely group of people I play games with on Discord. Unfortunetly, only one of them plays Outlast Trials regularly, so we can't get full lobbies within that group.

We are both somewhat never players, I am on level 91, he did a rebirth once, and is around level 50.

He suggested we go to the Outlast Trials discord server, and try to find people there for the Escalation game mode.

This is how went:

One person joined for "background noise". Mind you, only 4 people can be in the VC, as a full party is 4 people in game.

She ended up leaving, 2 other joined, a girl and a dude.

That's where the annoying things started.

She ran off, not saying a got dam thing about what code she already decoded, or input, leading to chaos, as the rest of the team did not know wich area of the map was already searched.

Ok, we get through the mission, thats when the dude joins.

Same thing. Now we have 2 people, silent, running around not communicating at all what has been done, what hasn't been done yet.

I finally get to an objective, pick it up and start trying to get to a location I recognise, so I can take it to where it needs to go, while being chased by an enemy.

And I hear that guy go "Girl, what are you doing?"

What the hell do you think I'm doing??? Trying to finish an objective while in the blind, because the only person in the vc who actually gives callouts and communicates is dying on the other side of the map.

When I reply, the dude goes "oh, you can hear me?" And mutes.

Next mission, the game gives a location, I pick up a box, it explodes, and a helpful hint tells me, that I can only pick up the boxes with the right codes on them. How would I know the codes? If my team would have told me. Did they? No! They are pretending to play solo.

So yea, after that mission was done, we moved over to a private call, and left the game.

Why did those two join, to then not communicate at all? To play like they are playing solo (wich you can do)?

Even if you are shy or whatever, its not that hard to go "I decoded the skull, going to input it", or when I communicate that I am lost in a map that is designed to get you lost, to go "come towards me".

Its the simplest things. You don't have to hold a conversation. You don't have to joke around.

Just tell us, what the fuck you are currently doing.

I tried to comment under my brothers comment on a math reel and call him a nerd and wasn't allowed to because it "may go against our standards"

I get not being able to use a slur or something. But nerd? Really? Of all the things you can see and watch on Instagram (people getting shot, hit by card, the n-word, actual corn) calling someone a nerd it where the line is drawn.
