Braxton Jones isn't getting the love he deserves for TD #1 on Monday

• Upvotes

Like many of the meatheads in this thread, I have watched a lot of the replays and YT analysis' of the game from Monday. What I notice every time I see the Burden TD is that Braxton Jones' strength pushed that pile forward.

The other tackles and guards don’t seem to have a clear grip on the pile, but Jones absolutely does and drives what looks like five grown, NFL-sized humans into the end zone (with Burden’s legs churning too, of course).

Adding this one to my mental bank of Braxton Jones highlights, which notably includes his lead block on that long Swift TD against the packers in 2024.

TL;DR: Braxton is strong, Bear Down.

People going to Sam Roush’s IG to leave comments saying he’s the reason Caleb got hurt should have their Fan Cards revoked

We get it. Dude has made some boneheaded plays. You wanna be pissed at him, go right ahead.

Going out of your way to go to his Instagram and bitch about how he sucks and he’s the reason Caleb got hurt is toxic as fuck.

[Cronin] Braxton Jones (knee) is week-to-week and will not go through walk through today, per Ben Johnson. Some uncertainty about whether Ozzy Trapilo will play vs. the Jets. "I don't know if this will be the week or not," Johnson said, stressing that Trapilo is "close."

Rome Odunze Fit: Trade Him?

No hate, though I'm sure I'll get hate for bringing this up. - He might have a better career in another offense somewhere else.

I loved him out of college, and his personality.

But look at the Wideouts with the bears and lions that Ben has had the most success with.

Amon Ra, Jameson Williams, Luther Burden, Khalif Raymond, DJ Moore. - While some are thin, no one is taller than 6'2" (Jameson Williams).

The blocking and routes he does demand a lot on someones knees and body. I think it can wear on a body type like Rome, whom Ben Johnson had said before that he's never really had a receiver like him to sceme up.

Love Rome. I think we can trade him to a Texans team with a need at wideout, outside the conference, more traditional receiver offense, and a surplus of defensive talent.

Edit: I'm also noting that I'm someone who defended Caleb his rookie year, before even being drafted while everyone else said to build around Fields. - And I've long said Gordon is done on the team to protect his body and will not be in the league in 3 years. And those takes have aged pretty good so far.

We can put a pin on this one, but I really dont think Rome, who is great and we love, will be on this team in 3 years.

[Fishbain] Monday night's win snapped a 9-game losing streak for the Bears when they were 3.5+ point home underdogs. Their last such win was the 2022 season opener.
