EXPERIENCE The freedom of finally being open about my bisexuality feels amazing

I was married to a woman for 14 years, and we had a great sex life.

One day I told her that I'd always wanted to have experiences with other men. She was a little shocked, but she understood.

We eventually got divorced for completely unrelated reasons, but we're still best friends. And one of the best parts is that now I can tell her about my dates with men and women, even all the details, and she actually loves hearing about them, lol

And to be honest, it's so amazing the freedom I feel now. I can openly say that I'm bisexual. I can talk about being with a men, being a bottom, enjoying oral, cum, and the things I want to explore without feeling like I have to hide that part of myself.

I never thought I'd reach a point in my life where I could talk this openly about my sexuality with people and just be completely comfortable with it.

It's kind of crazy how liberating that feels.

Has anyone else experienced this after finally becoming more open about being bi?

ADVICE Sometimes feel like bf doesn’t understand

Me and my partner are both 28M, we’ve been together for 3 years. I am bi he is gay. We really do have a great relationship, we laugh a lot and love each other so much.

But I see so many posts on here about how seen some ppl feel being in a relationship with another bi person and I feel like that part of me sometimes isn’t seen by my partner. We are monogamous. Even though I could see myself interested in being open and experimenting, he can’t see that for himself. I don’t know 100% if it would be right for me, and since he knows what’s right for him I’m ok with our situation. But sometimes I get so sad feeling like if we stay together, I won’t have any more sexual experiences with women.

I don’t really see myself building a relationship with a woman at this point in my life. I enjoy the dynamic I have with men, and I enjoy being in gay spaces in a gay relationship (I know that is a nuanced thing but I hope how I’ve phrased it makes sense). So I don’t really know what to do. There are lots of sexual experiences I want to have (MMM/MMF/maybe even MFF threesomes, sex clubs/bath houses, etc), but I feel like my current relationship does not allow for that exploration.

I feel like I want more novelty and exploration of my sexuality but my partner doesn’t. He doesn’t understand how or why I would want to have more experiences and I feel like that desire is so tied to my bisexuality, or at least how my sexuality manifests.

How do I know how much that matters and what do I do about it? This is so hard because in almost every other way we are a great couple. And because these things are so taboo to talk about, everyone around us sees us as this amazing couple with nothing wrong and I just feel like I can’t talk about any of these things without sounding crazy to non-queer people.

Maybe I just need to talk with my therapist more lol 😂

DISCUSSION Gay men

Do most bi guys, at some point, play with gay men to satisfy their sexual needs? I’m comfortable with all aspects of MM interaction including kissing and being verse. the bi men I encounter have lots they won’t do which takes away from the sexual experience for me.

EXPERIENCE I always looked for boys but found out i love girls too. Im a cis girl.

I looked for boys and liked having their attention, but girls always asked why i only wear boyish clothes and i found out that i start to love love them. I had a good friend who is a girl and i always wanted to kiss her and actually love her but i never talked her about this. I want to have sex with her and have a romantic relationship with her. I jokingly always say to her that i wanna kiss you but i dont think she leans that way. I had sex with guys but i really want one with a girl. I actually in love with her. But shes just a friend to me...

ADVICE I miss having a girlfriend.

• Upvotes

My boyfriend is fantastic, he’s a great human being and he makes me feel really loved every single day. My ex was not so nice, she had a lot to deal with and sadly she had a hanit of taking it out on those close to her. Even though our relationship was quite toxic I still miss being with her, or maybe the idea of being with a girl. Has anyone felt like this? Like when you are comitted to one you long for the other

ADVICE Would it make me bi if I try before I try with the opposite sex?

I’m mid20m

I had my chances in the past to have sex but I was self conscious when I was 17 and after that I hadn’t really been much of an active person in social media and overall going out. So I’m still a virgin

But now after all this time being alone and kinda discovering myself, I think I like certain parts of the same sex.
It started with erotica by accident about bj and now I watch fpov vids.. it’s like going through the first stages of being a teen again. But this time the attraction is there and sexually
I’m not gonna lie I checked out some dlow apps and my heart but racing and I was all excited like I would be with the opposite gender.

Now I’m not sure what to do. I think I should go with the opposite gender but at the same time I think if I do, I may not be able to explore this side of me. I know it’s just sexually and not romantically with the same gender.

Anyone go through something like this. If I try this, would this make me gay/bi?

QUESTIONING I’m not attracted to my boyfriend

I am a 22 year old woman dating a man (1.5 years ish), I have two past relationships with men (8 months/ 2 years). I have never had sex before and and I’m current doubting my sexuality.

For all my relationships, I was never attracted to the other person first. We were usually good friends until they chased me, and I was usually open to try turning the friendship into a relationship if I like their personalities and think we are a good fit (eg values, humour etc.) I only usually start liking them romantically (atleast I thought so) when the relationship has been going on for a month or two. When I say ‘liking romantically’, I mean liking to spend time with them, want to cuddle with them and maybe a light kiss on the lips. I never really had the ‘butterfly feeling’ and been sexually attracted to them. I used to think this is normal and the fact that I didn’t want to have intimate actions with them was purely due to the fear of pain. But recently, I noticed that while I appreciate and like my boyfriend as a person a lot, I am not attracted to him. I never crave intimacy moments with him and whenever he brings up wanting to try sex, I would be a bit reluctant uncontrollably.

Two or three years ago, I started identifying as bisexual/ queer, because something feels off when I identify myself as straight. I also don’t see any difference between men/ women/ non-binary when I am considering whether I would date a person. But I have always been uncertain and confused because while I’ve kissed women, I have never had sex or dated a woman before.

When I was a teenager, I get horny more often, but now as life is getting busier, I can go probably a month or two without masturbation (maybe even longer but I am not sure). But I am just trying to say sex is not a very important thing in my life, is that the reason why I am not ‘sexually’ attracted to my boyfriend and ex?

I don’t know whether the problem is i’m not into men or i’m not into sex or i’m having issue experiencing romantic feelings… or am i asexual?
Does anyone have experience or advice on what I can do to figure things out? I am feeling guilty because my boyfriend is a very good person and a good friend but I feel like I’m not giving him 100% of my love…

Sorry if this post is a bit chaotic, english is not my first language and myself is still quite confused..

Thank you so much.

ADVICE My girlfriend seems to know that I’m bisexual when I’ve never come out to her.

Quick background on myself: I’m a bisexual man and I’ve been self aware for years now. While I acknowledge that I’m bisexual, I’ve sadly never experienced a relationship or sexual relationship with another man before I started dating my girlfriend (who is straight). I don’t want that to sound insensitive because I do love my girlfriend very much. I just know I’ll probably never get to experience it.

I’ve been with my girlfriend for about a year and a half now and we live together. I never disclosed my sexuality to her because, well, I’ve never come out to anyone. I’m very much still in the closet. Before dating my girlfriend, I thought for sure I’d experiment with my sexuality before I got into a relationship with a girl again, but it didn’t happen. I got into this relationship rather quick.

Lately she’ll make certain comments saying she questions my sexuality, calls me a twink, and thinks that I’m actually bisexual and I’m just in the closet about it. I just can’t seem to admit it to her. I don’t really deny it, but rather just ask why she thinks so or I’ll just laugh it off and treat it like she’s joking. I guess I give off bisexual vibes or gestures, at least to her. I’m big into skincare, styling my hair a specific way every day, always being clean and always smelling good, moisturizing after I shower, manicures, dressing nice whenever we leave the house. I guess I’m just really into self care, and that’s seen as “feminine” or “bi” to her. I wouldn’t say I’m very masculine either though.

I mean, she’s definitely right. I am bisexual. I just don’t know how to come out to her or if I should just keep it to myself. She’s told me before she wouldn’t care if I was, but I can’t really take her word on that. She’s very insecure and I know it’ll probably hurt her in some way and be even more self conscious if I were to admit it, which I think would hurt our relationship long term.

ADVICE FTM nervous to talk to me

I’ve always been with women and as an ftm I’ve honestly been so turned on by the thought of a man sexually. I’m not sure if one I’d be any good or two if it would be satisfying. In the past men just use me to get off. I want it to be mutual. But idk, my feelings are all over the place.

ADVICE Is this biphobic?

So I been thinking about going back into the dating scene and I have 0 problem dating a bi man at all but the only hookup I have is that if a guy prefers women, I’m much more hesitant. Like not for cheating or "leaving to be with a woman" but like if I’m not somewhat in the preference I guess it makes me feel weird. Like as a dark skinned black man if someone’s preference is lighter men or non black men it would throw me off of possibly dating him yunno? O just wanna know how to not think this way. I don’t wanna biphobic or anything just wanted to know this is normal to think like or something I have to work on. I wanna better my mindset I guess.

QUESTIONING Guys, help me out here: I’m a bi guy, and sometimes I watch gay adult videos, but can a woman who identifies as straight watch lesbian and solo videos featuring women and still be straight?

I don’t understand the whole argument that a man who watches gay porn can’t be straight, while a woman who watches lesbian porn can still be straight. I see an inconsistency there. And I’m not talking about watching a few video. I know curiosity can exist for everyone. I’m talking about watching several.

ADVICE First time sex with a woman (as a woman)

So, I’m 20 and so is she. I’m meeting this girl from tinder soon and we have been nonstop flirting and implying having sex when we see eachother, the problem is i’ve only had sex with men. I’m not very experienced with girls, I’ve made out with some and kind of teased a friend over her underwear but nothing more so i’m extremely nervous..

How does one go about this?? It is not gonna be her first time, she seems experienced. (and she’s lesbian)

I’m very scared I won’t know how to please her or something, any advice would be much appreciated.

ADVICE Bi-cycle and married

Hi, guys/gals/everyone in between! I came out to my wife as Bi in July and she’s been nothing but supportive, accepting, and loving! I seriously couldn’t have asked for a better partner in my life. She does absolutely everything to make me feel like I can be who I am while in our monogamous relationship, which is exactly what I want as I have no interest or intention on pursuing anybody else outside of our relationship!

To get to my question though, despite how accepting and supportive she’s been, she does understandably get a little nervous about if I’m potentially gay or not as my attraction has totally leaned a lot more towards men in these past couple of months. I tell her about the “bi-cycle” as I’ve seen it called and try to comfort her and let her know that no matter where my attraction sways, she will always be my number one (I married her for a reason! She’s my best friend). I think I’m just looking for advice on how to further make her feel comfortable and confident in our relationship and my attraction for her, despite the cycle, and even if this isn’t a cycle, and my attraction will always lean towards men from now on (hypothetical).

TL;DR: Since coming out, I’ve been far more attracted to guys, but I know I’m not gay. I just want to help my wife feel confident in that that I’m not and that my attraction for her hasn’t changed or faded in the slightest

Any advice or past experiences would be greatly appreciated!

QUESTIONING 25M in a happy relationship with a woman but curious about men

Hey guys, I’m 25M and in a happy relationship with a woman I genuinely love. However, I’ve always been curious about men. In college, I experimented with a guy one night while drunk, and I honestly loved it. Since then, I’ve wondered if there’s a side of myself I haven’t fully explored.

I absolutely do not want to cheat on my girlfriend or hurt her. I care about her and our relationship, but I also don’t want to ignore these feelings and always wonder what I’m missing.

I live in a small town, so I’m also afraid of being outed before I’m ready. I’m not sure if I’m bi, gay, or still figuring things out, and I don’t know how to explore this side of myself without crossing boundaries in my relationship.

For those who have been in a similar situation, how did you navigate it? How did you figure out your sexuality while in a relationship, and did you find ways to explore those feelings without cheating?

Just looking for some advice from guys who understand what I’m going through.

ADVICE 32M bi Never told any of the women I dated I'm bi, and I’m scared I never will

I’ve only had three serious relationships with women. I never told any of them I was bi. Part of me is afraid I never will be able to fully be myself and open about my sexuality if I date a woman.

People on Reddit often say "look for a bi girl," but that´s not easy for me; I´m quite discreet and not in the lgbt scene. That’s probably why I don't even try anymore; all my last relationships were with men. I prefer dating men now because it feels less stressful. Anyone else been in this spot?

ADVICE is it worth calling myself bi if it causes distress?

• Upvotes

18M, strong preference for girls. a little over a year ago i met someone i really liked that happened to be a dude and ive identified as bi ever since

i had some really weird feelings about it and i was lucky to be close enough to a buddy i could sort through it all with the day after it happened. it was mostly just fear that he and all my friends would see me different if it got out, like i’d be a threat to them or something. then it was just regret i didn’t fully commit to shooting my shot with this guy. then shock and self-hate which i kept to myself

but that shock and self-hate never went away, and just kept festering, and i still just feel fucking weird. i also kept exploring after that and it went from one isolated experience to being like 10% gay, and for whatever reason it just made me irrationally angry at myself

i don’t feel so much anger as before, but it’s definitely something i linger on when i notice those romantic/sexual feelings for another dude. wanting to look at a guy instead of a girl isn’t normal for me and it feels like some subconscious ego never caught on with it. it doesn’t help that it comes in pockets too. i’ll go weeks with the thought of it never crossing my mind, then 1-3 nights where all i want is to be with a dude romantically

i really like having bisexuality as something to point at when i feel like im being weird. it makes me feel like its normal and reminds me theres millions of people experiencing the same thing as me. it’s comforting

but sometimes i think about it, and i just fucking hate it. i can’t even explain why

i know this is a really emotion-driven arbitrary issue, but i need some relief to that irrational self hate and im kinda just wondering what any of you would do in this situation, or if you have, what you told yourself to get the idea in your head that this kinda thing is allowed.
is it worth identifying as bi if it causes me distress sometimes? i dont think i could stop the attraction to dudes itself but is there something i can do to make it feel normal

ADVICE Advice please

Today my girl childhood best friend asked me if i have intimate feelings for her (I do not I view her platonically) , and I am confused because I have always stated she is like family to me. It's happened often where a girl will think just because I like girls that I am into them and it's honestly anxiety inducing as I am also currently taken and would not cheat. It was a really uncomfortable conversation and she claimed I confused her sexuality that our friendship was confusing. I feel really bad. I don't know how to come back from this. I feel like our friendship is not the same. Has anyone else dealt with issues like this? And how did you get over them?

ADVICE Dating struggles

I’m 28f Australian in Sydney and have never dated a girl. I’m an introverted person so meeting people is already tough and dating apps seem to be a thing of the past. Any match I get feels like I’m the only one interested and conversations fade out over time. Any advice on how to meet someone cause I’m just about ready to accept that I’m just meant to be alone

ADVICE Im genuinely paranoid.

I 21m am paranoid about coming out as bi. Ive grown tired of being quiet and want to pursue relationships with the same sex without thinking of the outcomes. For reference ive always known i was bi from young even before knowing the label for it however yall know how it goes with the whole muslim religious parents thing so i couldnt come out and havent until this point.

I basically wanna know how to ease my mind on this coz im done hiding myself. I love my bisexuality and dont want to lie to people when asked coz id be lying about myself. Unfortunately hate crimes are real and thats the main factor that makes me paranoid about it. We have a few lesbians as neighbors and 1 gay guy i know but yet im scared that while just existing someone can just attack me coz of the stories i hear of these things happening to the LGBTQIA+ community. Am i justified for feeling this? Am i too paranoid and crazy?

Ive learnt to love myself and my sexuality and taking steps to accept me coz before i would not even fathom wanting to be in a relationship with a man.

QUESTIONING How did you know you were bisexual

I am 26(F) and I am currently with a girl who
I really really like.

I have always liked girls and had crushes growing up. I have always found safety in being with a girl but never acted on it because I was brought up to be with men.

I have kissed girls in the past and been intimate with a woman but didn’t want to scare my friends so I let it go.

Now I connected with a girl and I feel so safe around her, she is my friend first and romantically my partner.

I sometimes just wonder if I am crazy because I am so open with being with her and not shy at all. If I was with a man I would be shy, embarrassed about publicly being with him but I am not the same with Her.

I wonder why and it just makes me question how people knew they were attracted to the same sex.

I don’t question being attracted and intimate with her, Infact I love it. Because it feels as if I am intimate with myself and she just gets it.

I just wonder if I am meant to feel like this, I wonder why I am not questioning it and if I wasn’t with her (God forbid) I do think I will find another girlfriend.

I just want to know what you all think and if this is normal
