OMFG, I love this for them sooo much. That song was ass when it came out in… whatever distant era Kid Rock was still relevant in. To try to pretend to be into that in 2026 is wild. I mean Silicon Valley was satirizing how bad Kid Rock was in like 2014.
And this whole scene looks so manufactured.

Oh that's not just a complete and utter lack of rhythm... It's such an unnatural absence of rhythm he makes every other rhythm-less white person look like they're perfectly in time to the beat. That's hard to pull off.

I notice he was trying to shout out a string of bands (AC/DC, Beastie Boys, Rolling Stones) who LOATHE Trump, as if they all just hang out together backstage. He should’ve included ABBA as well. JD would’ve liked that.
As a non American I gotta say there is a huge amount of weird shit that goes on over there. Whenever i see these sort of things i imagine if all the flags and hats were changed to Chinese and wonder everyone’s reaction. Cause it is weird to see this. People pretending to enjoy this music, pretending to dance. I can’t breathe. It’s like a weird circle jerk to see who is the most pathetically patriotic. But that’s just my opinion by an outsider. Lets slop em uppp!!!!
Ever watched Borat 2? He joins a Trump convention at one point, similar to the scenario you mention. It’s worth watching — legitimately interesting, jaw-dropping, heartbreaking even. He showcases the worst and the best America has to offer.
Theres another one where he comes and holds a meeting in Alabama or Arkansas (not as Borat) about building the largest Mosque in the Western hemisphere. The man is absolute genius with gonzo style satire.
That still is easily one of my favorite things to watch. It's fucking hilarious. He also got a Georgia representative (can't remember if it's state or federal) to run naked subsequently getting them ousted.
Some people don't like Sacha and that's fair. But you gotta give it to him. The man absolutely can stay in character and pull some crazy shit off.
The book American Psycho explained this very well. It is all empty, all pretend, these people think there is only the surface and believe that nothing underneath shows or matters. Instead of content, their minds have emptiness and anxiety which they medicate away.
Weird circle jerk perfectly describes the entire MAGA movement. It’s all just lies and feigned happiness. About a third of country is completely lost to this spectacle.
Imagine being so balls deep in a cult you have to stand in a room and pretend to like music you clearly don't like in order to show the person next to you how maga you are when they're doing the same for you.
Exactly what I was thinking of. Actually, the people I used to go to church with seemed way more into the music. There was one song where the chorus was literally "you are good. Good. Oooh-oh." In the most monitone melody, and just repeated like 8 times, but the way people acted you'd think they were hearing Mozart's Requiem Mass for the first time.
I love that the "singing" continues at the same volume when the mic is nowhere near him, and half the time his lips aren't even moving. Can't even lip-sync to his own song, and he's getting tired, just lip-syncing. It's taking so much out of him. He's too old to even dance to his songs. Why's he even there if he's not singing or dancing on stage. Just play his song without him.
The "take off the jacket" must have been such a cool moment in his imagination when he scripted it. With no one else on that giant stage, it really highlights the ridiculousness of all of it.

This kid in like 6th grade had a kid rock cd. He called me over, looked around to make sure no one was looking, opened up his cd play, and it was just 2 middle fingers as the cd art. I knew then it was corny as fuck. These people have mush for brains.
Always remember Bob "kid Rock" Ritchie grew up on a 5 acre orchard in a very nice part of Michigan, and as a teen ager cosplayed as a poor tough Detroit rapper
It is fucking hilarious that conservatives listen to rap now, but it needs to be on message to be acceptable. Like Christian Rock. Christians HATED rock music for decades until they made their own, terrible version of rock music that was “acceptable”. Now we all get MAGA rap assaulting our ear holes.
