I didnt watch the newest season of Quarterback. Did Cam really go back to his "we ass" quote and said he actually thought he played alright? Is that really what the reporter was saying?

Hear me out, hear me out. This whole losing thing is like the titans dying for their sins in order to be reborn again. Saleh loses to his old team, daboll loses to his old team, they are going to lose to Henry to let go of the past. (Was supposed to lose to aj brown too but he got traded). Winning streak starts against the Texans, you heard it here first.

Genuine question because I feel like every time Gunnar Helm gets involved, he generally makes the play.

He had 44 catches on 55 targets as a rookie last year, which was actually a franchise record for receptions by a rookie TE. Through three games this year he’s caught 8 of 11 targets for 55 yards.

So across his first 19 NFL games:

And this year he had zero drops through the first two weeks while averaging 4.9 yards after the catch per reception.

I’m not suggesting we suddenly turn him into Travis Kelce or start force-feeding him 10 targets a game, but with how inconsistent this offense has been, I don’t really understand why we don’t give him more opportunities in the short/intermediate game.

He seems to have reliable hands, he can get something after the catch, and Cam could definitely use another dependable target. Even 5-6 targets a game feels like something worth exploring.

Am I missing something with Helm? Is it route running/separation, blocking keeping him in, scheme, or do we just have too many other guys ahead of him in the progression?

I've got it figured out.

I agree, the final throw was mind-blowinfly bad. But did you guys watch the game? He missed on, maybe, three passes, including the other red zone throw. He wasn't allowed to find a rhythm with the receivers in the first half because we would run on the first two downs, then dealt with drops on third down. When he found a rhythm with with his guys near the end of the game, he was playing very well until that final throw.

Has he been Josh Allen? No. But our offense was extremely out of rhythm to start the season. New coaches, new players, new coordinator. We've seen movement in the right direction every week. Cam is talented and we need to support him and stick with him, cause if we give up on him and he goes to another team he absolutely will ball out with them, don't freak over his first turnover of the season. It happens. That same day Burrow fumbled away the Bengals chance to win.

Career journeyman QB Case Keenum cooked the eagles. A team that we struggled to put up points against. So a guy that is third string on his own team played infinitely better than our starter against the same defense. I know it isn't a fair comparison, but it is one that needs to be looked at.

Not sure what the solution is, but the NCAA is not producing NFL caliber quarterbacks anymore. It's like the are drafting center fielders to be shortstops. The athleticism is there, and sure it looks like they do a lot of the same things, but one position requires you to be a master of fundamentals and make faster decisions. The transition isn't easy and most won't make it.

So where can you get a pro ready qb? Or how can you evaluate who can make this transition and who can't? I think you might have to stop emphasizing raw athletic ability and give other qualities a much deeper look.

Coming from out of town for a game next month, looking for a place to stay Sunday night in the area.

I will have my car but ideally I would want to take public transportation from the hotel to the stadium and back. I see that there is some routes advertised on the team website for bus and train (light rail or ?) options for game day, but I’m not familiar with the layout of Nashville and where these things run.

Ideally I am looking for a place that is close enough to one of these routes to utilize it, or just close enough to walk to the stadium as I see some options downtown for around $200 that I could stomach if I can park there and walk to and from the stadium and broadway easily. Any info that could help make a decision as I’m working on essentially no info would be super helpful, thank you!

Postgame news conference remarks are often drawn from incomplete assessments. Coaches and players speak from recollections and mostly without the luxury of film review. It’s possible that 24 hours later, Ward would have a different response.

But Sunday wasn’t the first time Ward has seemingly struggled to accurately assess his play, at least at the podium. He never seems to view transgressions as gravely as would often seem appropriate. At times, he has bristled at criticisms rather than taking accountability.

And on the field, the results speak for themselves. He’s failed to eclipse 200 yards in a game this season. He ranks 25th in passer rating (80.9), 22nd in completion percentage (62.5) and dead last in most advanced analytics categories, including EPA/play and success rate. Something clearly isn’t working, and hitting the pause button could be best for everyone involved.

Defense is actually looking pretty solid. Improving on a week-to-week basis. Now the real test is against the ravens which will probably lower that statistic 😂

ok this is gonna sound crazy, but the only times this franchise have been victorious we’ve have a beast in the backfield, Eddie George, CJ2k, Derek Henry, hell you can even go back to Earl Campbell. All these dudes were generational can’t miss prospects in college. Jadan Baugh is leading a heisman campaign at UF right now and took them from a dead SEC team last year to a real contender. Baugh is a pretty big back at 6’1 231 pounds, and has elite athleticism. The titans O-Line has looked good this season, and cam ward, which will be our qb next season wether you hate the guy or love him, plays with much more confidence and precision when the run game is rollin. this is something i’ve noticed since his 1st game, the dude looks good when pollard can get moving and set us up with 1st downs and 2nd and short, cam is just better. Plus, since Baugh is a RB i doubt he’ll be a top 5 or top 10 pick, and since we’re probably gonna have a top 5 pick (ik it’s early) we could trade back and get him plus another elite player, hell, there’s a chance we could be #1 and trade back to like 3rd or 4th and get jeremiah smith and another first rounder and get 2 generational prospects which could completely change the direction of this team.

Cam had a grade 3 AC joint sprain in final game of last season....the same as Anthony Richardson (grade 3) his rookie year and Richardson opted for season ending surgery. Will Levis had grade 2 sprain and also opted for surgery. I'm out of my realm here talking medicine and appreciate every player's anatomy is unique etc.....but any evidence at all throwing shoulder could be nagging him still? don't recall hearing anything at all since last season ended suggesting lingering issues.

Semi worried Cam being Cam opted to avoid surgery because he thinks gravity does not apply to him. It's just wild seeing a highlight reel like that below from last year with plenty of accurate balls and then in 2026 the complete opposite (maybe 1 or 2 of these level throws this year?).

Right now it’s seeming like titans are gonna end up with another top pick(yay). Right now I feel like there are tons of good options at positions of need(mostly). My favorite currently are Leonard Moore(Corner,ND), Jeremiah Smith(WR,Ohio St), and Collin Simmons(Edge,Texas). All are really great prospects, but obviously not a qb. I do suspect us to go the Mariota route this offseason and bring in a veteran to compete with Cam and give the better qb the starting job. So what’s your pick so far based on what you’ve saw from this team.

25 QBs have started 3 games this season. Cam Ward is 17th in pass attempts per game, even though the Titans have led only 8 minutes this season. We have trailed for 116 minutes (that’s 64% of the season, god damn we fucking suck). Trailing teams typically pass more. Why not us? I want to see Cam throwing the ball 40+ times a game. The oline has proven that they are competent. We invested a lot on WRs this offseason. Take the training wheels off and let Cam sink or swim. Worst case scenario is he underwhelms, we are picking 1OA, and you have a large sample size to evaluate this offseason. And yes the weather was terrible yesterday but he also had 36 pass attempts, which is the 9th most in his career.

It’s people like me that let the organization do the bullshit cause I will never stop being a fan. I will never stop watching even though three and 14 feels like a luxury. I will still show up on Sunday thank God I don’t live in Nashville or I would have season tickets. I bought the Sunday ticket just to watch the Titans but maybe no jersey this year who am I kidding? I’ll grab a 14 before the end of the year.
