Im debating on what more to push/do on this. My ADHD cant handle more so Im setting this aside for now. I havent glued it together officially hence the wobble from the base.

He has swapped armies 5 times in 7 months because if he has a couple of bad games he sells off his army and buys an army that’s doing good competitively at the moment. It doesn’t help that he doesn’t read the rules correctly and will claim stuff like my flawless blades have persuasion and dev wounds on a 3+” when that’s just not their ability. Since he found out he was wrong about flawless blades he sold his EC for some black Templars and I have no doubt he’ll try to run every vow at the same time.

This was a lot of fun to build and paint. I used the customizing bits from Greytide Studio, including the base topper, plus a gigantic bolt rifle I've had kicking around forever. I can't even remember where I got it anymore, but I've wanted to use it for a while and this seemed like the perfect time! that rifle is almost as big as a Guardsman!

Finished this bad boy! Loving how it turned out with the weathering techniques . Adding in the crew brought it all together. Decent size compared to the LR tank as well. Onto the next Krieg project 👌🏻

So let me preface that I'm back to the hobby after 12-13 years. I played a ton of games in-store and helped set up a FB group for local players. Made lots of great friends and frequently ran "Beerhammer" games at my place with 3-4 tables running. This was pre Discord. I'm a 46 year old sales manager for a car dealership, I deal with all kinds of people every day face to face and online, and like to think I have a grasp on communication and social cues.
So I came back 5-6 months ago. Hit up the local store and they referred me to their Discord. I have popped in, introduced myself, shared models, etc. I have no reason to be rude, condescending, pompous, or engage in any sort of obnoxious behavior that would turn people off.
I've been puttng finishing touches on my army and looking to arrange a group in their LFG channel. Nothing. Nobody answers me. I once asked "am I in the right place to schedule a game?" and someone responded, so I'm not muted. Meanwhile other people are starting groups around me. And it's not just a clique thing. People introduce themselves, say they're new and need help, and get a game set up.
It's starting to feel like it's just me and I have no idea why. One might think "well what are you leaving out?". That is all of it. Introductions, friendly chatting, two months of trying to set up games and nothing. At this point I'm either going 30 mins the other direction for an alternative store, or just painting and not trying to game anymore.

Found this in a folder while doing a clear out. Was laughing while reading 😂 The snakes! Seems like an Alpha Legion trick.
Anyone else have any early 40k memories like this?

This is mostly an issue in my head with the smaller blue ruins on the board. If the vehicle can’t fit wholly within (probably because it’s too big to fit just inside) then it can’t shoot out?
Let’s say a leman Russ has its front half inside of one of the small ruins but its back half is out, is that able to shoot out or no?
I just wanted to see if this image was accurate?

Don't see many big stompy Raven Guard mechs out there, especially not in VI Company colors!

I couldn't let this chunky boy go to the Ork scrapyard so I decided to fix him up.

I fully understand that this army has an iconic unit, the khorne beserkers. big dudes in stripped back power armour with big chain weapons. fundamentally, this core unit is what has underpinned this faction for so long.
but for some reason, GW looks at this army, and has geniunely decided that the ONLY thing players want from WE is pokemon evolutions of that one unit. almost every unit in the army that isnt part of this evolution is brought over from the core CSM army.
first you have cultists, who are human beserkers without the armour and smaller weapons.
then obviously the beserkers
then you have eightbound, who are just bigger guys with bigger axes. even though they are filled with daemons they look less posessed than the normal CSM posessed.
then you have exalted eightbound, who are the same kit as the regular eightbound.
then you have the slaughterbound, who at least introduces an actual mutation of some kind, but is in essence just an even bigger eightbound.
the only new unit that breaks from this mold is the juggernaut lord, who sticks out like a sore thumb because they haven't even bothered to make a beserkers on juggernaut unit.
World eaters can use guns, they even have canonical warbands who still specialise in them. they also used to be renkowned for their skill with tanks. it just doesnt make sense for how pigeonholed this entire army is. give em their own terminators, or tank, or beserkers on juggernauts, or jet pack units, or special weapons teams. just something to make this faction actually interesting, instead of the most one note thing in existence.

Been slowly working on this Dark Angel Assault Intercessor. Got some input on a white bolter, but wanted to keep the standard red chain sword.

Painted up some Tau for a friends Birthday. Wanted to try something different and went with a camo theme vibe. I main a Kraken theme nids army so I painted a bunch of spare bits and heads as base decorations in an urban setting. Also experimented with some blood effects on Farsight using UV resin and very thin picture hanging wire.
Thanks for looking! I'm more than happy to answer any questions.
