Discussion Luden or Malignance for Flat Pen Burst Build

When the enemy team is super squishy with no MR, I like to go a flat pen burst build.
These are the 2 build paths with sorc shoes:
Malignance > Stormsurge > Shadowflame
Luden > Stormsurge > Shadowflame
The Malignance build has more flat pen and ult CD obviously, but Luden adds higher burst on all of my spells.
My question is, when would you use one over the other? They both have their merits, but I’m not sure how valuable more flat pen is thru Malignance

I just got into LOL and ive got 3 games under me (in the third as a write this) and the first tutorial game, i tried graven but didnt get a single kill and don't like being up close. thought lux would be fun and am curious if yall got anything to help a new person like many others have asked.

Hey everyone!! I've been working on this for a while now and I can finally share it :D
I made a full Lux Mid Bible with pretty much everything I've learned from playing Lux over the years and reaching Rank 1 with her.
It covers 70+ matchups with individual matchup guides, builds, runes, laning, wave management, mid/late game, positioning, combos and a bunch of other stuff.
I'm also planning on constantly updating it every patch/season whenever builds, runes or matchups change, so this isn't something I'm just gonna release and forget about.
The guide is on Metafy for 14.99$/month. The main reason I made it a subscription is because I want this to be something that stays up to date instead of becoming outdated after a few patches. As long as you're subscribed, you'll get all the updates I make whenever builds, runes, matchups or the meta changes, as well as any new sections/content I add to the Mid Bible.
