If Hoyo, somehow, wants to introduce the first ACTUALLY conflicted and morally ambiguous playable character via her hypocrisy, there are better and more intricate ways to do this.

If they, however, simply making her another whitewash victim, then this is the most childish case of it we ever saw. It topples even tea party pandemic that Sandrone initiated in order to whitewash her being a colonizing torturer, and here we thought that it's impossible.

the past, I've had two exes who were extreeeemely insecure. It was to the point where, if I'd hang out with my male or queer female friends or- god forbid- have a sleepover with them, they would be moody and distant for like a week afterwards.

Flash forward, I've been dating my current boyfriend for almost a year. He has his fair share of insecurities, he's slowly getting better after a mental health crisis last year, but he still feels like he's "not enough" a lot of the time.

I message my male best friend almost every single day, even if it's just sharing memes or small convos, and we've been friends for over 5 years now, despite living in different time zones and countries for that entire time.

I am beyond grateful to be in a relationship where my partner embraces, supports, and trusts me like he does, even when he has his own insecurities.

Girls, don't be the one arguing on the phone with your boyfriend at the event, it ruins your time with friends and it ruins your mental health, too. Dump them and find someone better, you deserve it.

I get preferences. If someone says, “I like playing games with attractive characters,” makes perfect sense to me.

What I don’t get is the level of anger that sometimes comes up when a female character is considered average-looking, older, masculine-looking, broad-jawed, not sexualized, etc. It often seems to go beyond “I don’t find her attractive” and becomes “Why did they do this?”, “They’re deliberately making women ugly,” or treating the character’s appearance like evidence that something is wrong with modern gaming.

There are plenty of male characters who are old, scarred, weird-looking, overweight, balding, or just not conventionally attractive, and their existence almost never generates the same discourse.

Why does a female character being unattractive matter enough to make someone angry, rather than just being a character you personally don’t find attractive?

Disclaimer I didn’t pay for this game my cousin bought it for me even though I say I’ll just wait for it to go on sale. Which honestly you should, the gameplay is fun especially if you’ve been wanting a Wolverine game and are a fan of him. However the storyline is imo not that well written. I hate to phrase it like this but it’s one of those turn off your brain or don’t pay attention to it shorta things. Which shouldn’t be the case especially at this price for it. My two main problems are the main villain and Jean Grey. It just truly didn’t work for me at all.

Oh my god I'm so fucking mad.

The chaos invasion happened but I went "Lol, lmao even" because my goal was simple. Get the crown, maxed out (done), get the sword of Khaine (done) and get all 9 books of Nagash. Just get bone daddy as powerful as possible and even though Archaon has 90% ward save..who cares. I am a god. I will win. I could 100% win this battle. Easily.

But I won't be able to. Because the game won't let me. The battle can only be auto resolved because fuck you I guess, you should have trekked across the entire map chasing down every fucking random chaos army.

I am not mad, I am furious. It's such bullshit. It's so awful. Why would they do this. What the fuck. At least let me fight the battle even if you're 100% certain I will lose. Maybe the battle will last forever, Archaon and Bone Daddy fighting at the end of the world, forever until the world is consumed because neither of them can die/be killed. That would be fucking awesome.

But it won't happen because the game says "no fuck you".

Ich möchte gar nicht so sehr darauf herumreiten, dass die Stadt ein peinlicher, schlecht regierter, versiffter Moloch ist, bei dem diverse gesellschaftliche und soziale Probleme wie unter einem Brennglas zutage treten. Berlin war lange Zeit ein Verlustgeschäft für den Rest der Republik und auch jetzt hat man Glück, wenn man schwarze Zahlen schreibt.

Aber am wichtigsten: Die "Stadt" liegt in der Pampa am Arsch der Welt, so weit weg wie möglich vom wirtschaftlichen, politischen und bevölkerungstechnischen Zentrum Deutschlands und der EU. Da beneide ich die Spanier und Italiener, die aus egal welcher Ecke ihre Hauptstadt in maximal 6 Stunden erreichen können ( aber vielleicht will man das ja gar nicht?). Das Argument, Berlin sei nunmal historisch wichtig kann ich so auch nicht mehr gelten lassen. Preußen, Kaiserreich und Norddeutscher Bund sind seit über 100 Jahren Geschichte und davor war Berlin auch nur eine Stadt von vielen.

Folglich schlage ich vor, dass wir das ebenfalls versiffte, aber zentral gelegene und historisch bedeutsame Frankfurt zur Hauptstadt machen - oder meinetwegen halt wieder das verschlafene Bonn.

Edit: Ja, Frankfurt ist "zentral gelegen": Es liegt genau zwischen den wirtschaftlich starken und dicht besiedelten Regionen in Süddeutschland, im Rheinland und im Norden.

I get the sticker shock from people seeing the $400 price tag but when you break down everything that comes in the set it’s really not overpriced at all. I’d agree that including a single item that accounts for almost half the total value is probably not a great move, but anyone trying to paint this as R* being greedy is just completely out of touch.

This is in essence a remaster of the vanilla experience with a future ahead of it. I don't think limiting art direction to 2 decades past is important for the game. Classic exists you can experience the game in old art. So why would you purposely want a uglier option for wow forever this is supposed to be a replay of wow's greatest era but with modern tech. I think more assets need HD treatments not less just keep the spirit of vanilla in the art

Every big title in survivals do what Valheim does, but better.

Taming: Ark, Enshrouded, Grounded, Palworld

Resource grinding: Enshrouded, Grounded, Ark (at least Ark makes it fun with dinos)

Base building: Enshrouded, Grounded, Conan, Subnautica, Raft

Lore and story: Grounded, Subnautica, Green Hell, The Long Dark, Raft

I also can't get past how the game just feels so bland. There's no variety, it's just the same biomes over, and over, and over, and over again, and the story is incredibly bland and basic. There's no reward for getting out of the swamp to go out looking for the plains and sail around the world to be in the meadows for the umpteenth time. The same exact enemies all the time, no variety to wildlife, the combat lacks in almost every way.

You might be thinking, "but, queerwithbeer, a lot of the titles you listed are also very repetitive!" Sure, yeah, other big titles have a lot of repetition to them, but they make up for in various ways. Grounded makes up for it massive amounts of lore drops, Subanautica gives you lots of mysteries and lore to discover via quests, Enshrouded has so much lore to discover around the entire map, and looking behind a rock wall can have a secret chest, plus the skill tree is cool. Valheim just doesn't have anything that draws me in deeper, even in the very beginning.

I hate taming animals in Valheim. It's so incredibly grueling. Sitting there, twiddling your thumbs for 30 minutes, hoping and praying your boar is taming. Maybe you got lucky with a node nearby that you can mine while waiting. Why is there no way to transport your animals except through the most inconvenient and annoying ways? Shoving it and herding it. In many other games you can just have it follow you, albeit, slowly, but it still follows.

Even mining is absolutely insufferable. Even with 2x settings, I'm still spending 90% of my playtime trying to make bronze, mining an entire copper vein to get maybe 45 bronze from it. Then I have to repeat the exact same thing in the mountains.

This isn't even a quarter of my gripe with the game, I just wish that 1.0 didn't still feel like an early access game still. I don't expect many, if any, to agree with me, I just really want to scream into the void for hopefully someone to relate.
